I stayed at the Taj President for 27 days. I believe that puts me in a good spot to give a comprehensive and trustworthy review of the hotel & its people.
Starting with the front desk - the first impression at any property, I'm sure most would agree. Mr. Alapan Mandal, the manager met us in our last week of the stay but left the most lasting impression from the front desk. He was extremely friendly, jovial and helpful. Mr. Sohail is also very well-mannered and kind. Additionally, Ms. Sonam also took care of our requests wherever she could accommodate us. Mr. Soham is average in guest treatment but he corrects his mistakes.
On the other hand, Ms. Neha provided a very sour experience. She literally stalked my mother one morning and on the breakfast table, demanded that my mother fulfil our dues instantly, even though we had booked such a long stay with pre payment. Not just that, the way she charged at my mother at 8:30 AM - completely inconsiderate & unexpected behaviour. Kindly train her to be courteous & plan any such visit. Also, recheck the bills because of the multiple wrong postings that we had to get corrected.
Similarly, Mr. Ramanuj, another manager, was extremely curt and honestly, very arrogant. They charged our room with multiple wrong food bills and when I asked him to kindly get it corrected - he acted as if we were lying and said, 'you need to speak with the restaurant manager and get this clarified.' Upon clarification, the restaurant manager apologised but Mr. Ramanuj continued to act all high & mighty. Kindly be warmer to your guests.
Moving on to Team Trattoria, their flagship restaurant. The food served is absolutely lovely and authentic. We had multiple meals there and loved all of them. Ms. Sital & Mr. Mark went above and beyond to serve us in the breakfast buffet and we are utterly happy with their warm gestures & lovely smiles every morning. Thank you, guys for caring about us and our needs every day! Mr. Sagar also served us courteously. Mr. Gaurav, the assistant banquet manager was very kind & accommodating to our requests.
However, Mr. Rahul saddened us with his awful behaviour. The restaurant allows packing of fruits during the breakfast buffet, especially for office-goers and when we requested for a disposable box for the same, not only did he straight-up rudely deny, spewing such negative attitude early in the morning - kindly train him to be more polite to guests.
Next, the housekeeping services are excellent at the hotel, albeit a bit slow to arrive. Mr. Bhavesh treated our room to the best care. He always went the extra mile and not only fulfilled our requests (extra water, room freshener, etc) with a sweet smile, but ensured to remember all of it himself. He patiently did this and honestly, is one of the best in my experience.
Lastly, coming to one of the most important functions of any place/property - the security & administration services. We had such a delightful experience with every interaction with them. Starting with Mr. Carlton - we deeply thank him for his gracious & generous nature. He exceeds expectations of customer satisfaction with his gentle words and kindness. Thank you so much for your wishes! Ms. Prapti & Ms. Meena at the call reception were so sweet & thoughtful. It was lovely having their support. However, Mr. Manoj, Mr. Sushant, Mr. Satish, Ms. Karuna, Mr. Kumar, Mr. Sudhakar, Mr. Kundan and Mr. Prabhakar, to name a few in the security - excellent being greeted by them and they always went the extra mile to serve us. Thank you so much for your services, we are exceptionally grateful to you.
A special mention has to go to Dr. Sucheta, the in-house Taj physician. Not only is she one of the best doctors I have encountered, but her beautiful smile and positive behaviour can help anyone recover. Thank you, ma'am!
Overall, Taj President provides a great homelike stay, with excellent food, hygiene and good services! Thank you, all whose names I might have missed but am grateful for the support during my stay.
