Presley Norton Museum

Free museum. Gorgeous mansion converted into an archeological exhibit. The pieces were once the private collection of archeaologist Presley Norton. The gorgeous Andalusian-inspired house once belonged to a wealthy local family and it is now a beautiful architectural oasis in the midst of buildings and downtown noise. Breathtaking architecture complete with spider chandleriers, high vault ceilings, and Spanish-style tilework decorations.

Free museum. Don't miss the chance to take a peek into ecuadorian culture over 4000 years ago. Small but very neat.

A beautiful museum with many articles, amazing Spanish tiles and old wooden stairways

I really like this museum and I recommend that you go when you are in town. The admission is free and it's open Monday through Saturday. There was a mixture of historic artifacts, along with some paintings and other artwork. The receptionist and the security guards were all very nice. I was the only person there except for the employees.

Lovely range of Ecuadorian pots and sculptures in an attractive building. Also, free. Excellent staff.

Nice museum. You should visit any time in the day, it is not crowded.
