Prestige Apartments Sandton - Westpoint

While the location is good, West street itself needs to improve the security in an around the area. The “hotel” needs serious upgrading. We stayed for 5 weeks as we didn’t have another choice. We mainly slept there and had breakfast. Cleaning was very average. Sleeping was difficult as there was domestic abuse constantly above our apartment to which nothing was done about even though we reported it numerous times. The noise was unbearable going into the early morning. Moving a dozen times in the building was not an option with kids. When we called security in the middle of the night their phones were off. The drinking and strong odour of cannabis in reception while “not allowed” continued to happen. Fights broke out in the building on the weekend. As a hotel water shortages were dealt with by delivering 5 litres water bottles. In my second week of staying there, the water was off for 4 days yet the hotel claimed it was one day. Hotels in the vicinity had water delivered but this hotel claimed that the Jo-Jo was broken. When wanting to address these issues with the building manager she was extremely rude and went on to tell me how short term is not her issue she proceeded to give me the GMs details who’s number until today we were unable to get through. This “hotel section” posts many hazards including the shower head that is so rusted. It is hardly kept well. Safety issues need to be addressed as a matter of urgency.

Extremely Dodgy, no check in or exit processes, Dodgy requests for payment. Very rude weird staff, no assistance from anyone , swimming pool and garden area closes at 6pm every day, Filthy rooms. Feels unsafe. Do not recommend this place at all.

The place: not bad, not fantastic either. The location: perfect.. The service: its the reason I won't go back. Check in wasn't seamless, absolutely below par especially for Sandton.

Self-catering Apartments were clean, modern & spacious and cost effective. There are two massive buildings that comprise about 300 apartments together. Underground parking and very good Security. Conveniently located at two street corners and walking distance from Sandton city

The guys at Reception are really helpful. Good location. The apartment we stayed in was nicely set up. The place still has apartments under construction, hence a lot of drilling and construction noise.

Nice place ,however there was no water.

The location is excellent The security do zer job properly at the same time very friendly… The manager is too good n kind…

Very nice hotel to be at and rooms are nice with great views to the outside
