Amazing customer service & and very clean hotel. My husband requested a late check out due to me going for surgery later in the day, the front desk was very accommodating and let my husband and son stay until I was out of surgery. On top of that 15 minutes after my husband made this request there was a knock at our door. They had delivered a gift basket they had made up with a card wishing me a speedy recovery. I was in tears to say the least. We will be back and we really appreciated hot accommodating they were and the very sweet gesture.

I worked at night. We arrived at the hotel at 7 am and asked for a room for the day so that we could work again at midnight with renewed energy. At 12:30 they knocked on the door and asked us to leave the room because it was against their policy to give a room for the day. So for 5 hours of sleep I paid 180 dollars + deposit. If you work at night or are against such an attitude towards workers who work hard at night, DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE AND DO NOT SUPPORT SUCH A BUSINESS. Thank you for your attention.

Floor was dirty I had to lay a towel down on the floor near the bathroom, it looked like something had been dripped all over the floor. The bed was so saggy and I had lifted the covers and moved in before I noticed or I would've asked to change rooms. The drain in the sink was so clogged with crud I couldn’t run the water in the sink. Found a couple of black hairs in the bathtub. Thumping above and doors slamming are pretty typical in a hotel but compounded with everything else, I was at my limit. The hotel staff were friendly, I will say that but for $300+ a night |Won’t be recommending this hotel.

I checked in late at night, and the receptionist was very kind and accommodating. Considering my work clothes and the time of my arrival, she offered me a room in a quiet corner of the hotel so I could sleep undisturbed. Fast forward to the next night. I arrived at 2:30 a.m. and needed to leave early to catch a flight from Prince George. I rushed to the front desk to request a wake-up call. The receptionist was on the phone with someone, chatting casually about life. I waited for a few minutes and looked at the clock to signal my urgency; however, she didn’t seem to notice my frustration. Fortunately, her colleagues emerged from another room and attended to me. She could have asked her friend to wait for a few minutes so she could assist me, but that thought never seemed to cross her mind. I hope management can refresh the customer service protocols for the front desk staff. There seems to be a split in service quality—some employees go above and beyond to help guests, while others appear indifferent.

Just a terrible experience. Only good thing was a 50 dollar gift card to their restaurant. The package we got was obviously out of date and they got so many things wrong. Plus we forgot some unopened soft drinks still in the cardboard case in the fridge and called back the same day to see if they were still there. Apparently they throw out unopened drinks. I guess I can understand that a bit, but 2 cases of them? Rooms wasn't the cleanest either.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Could have staffed the restaurant with a few more servers. We had a table of at least 30 people (hockey tournament all week) and our poor server had to run a room service order after she brought half our drinks. She did awesome though.

Had our staff xmas party there... Everything was in time .... Staff were excellent and it was very clean and private

We stayed at the Prestige Hotel in Prince Rupert and loved the hotel, tried to extend a night extra but they were booked up, so we booked at Prestige in Smithers. Unlike the Prince Rupert, no free continental breakfast :-( We did enjoy the hotel stay and all the great accommodations that the Prestige Hotel chain offer. Prestige Hotels was a new find for us, as we are newly retired and traveling all over the great northern Canada. Recommend this hotel. Clean, convenient, guest laundry, wifi, free parking, and on-site restaurant which was so convenient. Love the BEDS!

Nice rooms and the bar was nice with decent food. Honestly, it probably could be cleaner but considering the rooms we've stayed in the last few days coming home from Alaska, it was just fine.

I have stayed here a couple times. Once about 6 years ago while on a ski vacation and again just a couple weeks ago. Six years ago I remember my room being far nicer and well kept. Recently though I was a bit disappointed. There were stains on the carpet, the bathroom was painted stark white including the bathtub tile which made the fixtures look yellowed and old and the room furniture was very dated. However, the bed had crisp white sheets and the mattress was very comfy. I think the hotel is in the midst of a minor renovation. So you may want to ask for a room that has already been updated. I did end up getting a deal on my room as it was a bit sub par.

Eternal gratitude to the people here. I needed a ride to the airport and there are no taxis or Uber in Smithers. The one person in town doing rides cancelled on me minutes before I needed to get to the airport. The staff made some calls and they gave me a ride. Human kindness at its best. Clean rooms too.

I have stayed in motels in Smithers for over 50 years and never had an experience like the last one on April 3rd 2018. We checked in fairly early and asked the lady for 2 rooms on the first. My sister was having a hard time walking and my wife is waiting for a knee replacement. She gave me room 150, which is the farthest room from the bar, resturant, and front desk. My sister got room 249 on the second floor. Also we had made reservations weeks in advance. I don't think the motel was even a third full at most. Not more than 10 Cars in the lot. We ate in the bar, as there was not a person in their restaurant. We ate in their pub and the waitress spilled half of my brother in laws dinner in his lap. When we went to pay the bill, and asked what they were going to do about the stains on the clothes. Their response was to tell us where their pay washing machine was located. Not good. Don't know if this all was because we were Americans, I hope not. Also my wife is a Canadian.

The hotel is fine but could use some renovations and maybe new carpets. Seems over priced for quality of accommodations.
