I booked a flight and paid for the trip protection.. then 5 minutes later I realized I had a previously booked minor surgery the same day as the flight so I called to cancel my flight.. The customer service rep told me that I would be charged $50 for canceling my flight.. I thought this is why you pay for trip cancelation.. the trip protection is a scam. You will still be charged a fee even if you purchase trip protection. I will no longer be using Priceline.. I will use Expedia from now on..
