Pride Fighting Academy (PFA)

Absolutely fantastic. Everyone is super welcoming, friendly and supportive. Walking into a combat gym may be intimidating for some but the staff and patrons are all kind, warm and fun. Incredible coaches who have a lot of experience teaching and competing. I'm not from SA but have found a community at PFA and I have nothing but love for everyone here. 100% recommend

I started doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at PFA in November 2021 after looking for something new and different to the training that I’d been doing before. I get bored easily so was looking for something where I could stay fit and retain my strength while learning a new skill. I’ve found the BJJ classes incredibly addictive and more intense than anything I’ve tried before. It’s also a sport that has been around for a long time but is still evolving. The trainers are all amazing, diverse and each have a different approach which gives you a really well rounded understanding of the sport. More than equipment, training and the things you’d expect from a gym these days, you’ll find a family type atmosphere and a community that’s as awesome to be around as BJJ is addictive.

This gym is next level for all levels. The gym is exciting with a welcoming, safe environment to learn. Highly recommend to all.

Second time in PFA and always an amazing experience! It was my second trip for one month in Capetown after a first time in august 2021 and I decided to return for one month training in PFA. As in my memory, you’re warmly welcome by all the team. The teacher’s level like that of the students are very impressive. As I come from french boxing is always a new start to learn again boxing basic mouvements and what pleasure to do it in the PFA’s club. If you want to improve your boxing level in all kind of martial arts in a particularly good mood and fighting spirit, it’s the place to be ! I definitely recommend it !

Most incredible training facility - on par with very best in the world. Most experienced & awesome coaches. The entire gym, culture and atmosphere feels like a family. Exceptionally well organised, clean, always friendly. No ego's. Everyone always there to help you achieve what you trying to strive for

Incredible gym with passionate coaches and ultra friendly atmosphere. Equipment is kept clean and in great condition. The owners and trainers are super friendly, professional and proactive with communication on the whatsapp group. Fees are also really affordable and give you access to train and learn from the best, across a variety of classes. The gym frequently organises opportunities to progress and compete at various levels, if you want to. PFA honestly changed the way that I train and enjoy training. I now do Muay Thai, Boxing and Jiu Jitsu and enjoy every single class I take.

Absolutely phenomenal gym! I couldn’t have picked a better gym to start and train BJJ. All the instructors are very knowledgeable and great teachers.

Absolutely brilliant, family-owned MMA gym, with world-class facilities and incredibly patient, high-level coaches for each of the available martial arts disciplines. This gym serves as a pillar in the community and is a huge part of the daily lives of all it's members. Highly recommended💪
