No frills, but clean, well kept. Beds were nice and firm, which is my preference. Water in the shower gets nice and hot! There is a mini fridge in the room. I did a la carte meals; the breakfast buffet was excellent. I also signed up in advance for Shabbat lunch, and it was amazing. The staff was so friendly and helpful. On Shabbat, at first I forgot to turn on the heater, and later the room hot too warm. Two different front desk people, both not Jewish, graciously offered to turn the heater on and off. This is a classy place. A lot of families stay here, and there was a young adult seminary group who stayed here over the weekend. Close to many things - 30 min walk to the Kotel, 6 min walk to the Jerusalem great synagogue, 20 min walk to Ben Yehuda street, 25-30 min walk to the Shuk. There are a few bus stops very close to the hotel, where lots of busses stop. They all go to the train station.

Wow, where do I even start? First of all, don’t believe everything people write here. The service at the hotel was just okay — nothing more. As for the room, when I book for a couple and a child, I expect a larger room, not to be crammed into a tiny couple's room with just a sofa bed opened up. Sure, other hotels do that too, but come on — you can’t do that when the room is only 16 square meters. The bed was awful — I can’t even call it a bed. We actually preferred sleeping on the sofa because the bed was so hard. Now let’s talk about the dining room — it was a complete nightmare. When we walked in, it was just horrible. The vegetables were disgusting, and we stayed there for two days, during which I’m pretty sure they didn’t replace the dips even once. Don’t go near it unless you want food poisoning. As for the eggs, they claim it’s an omelet station, but what I saw were eggs floating in oil that I’m sure weren’t fresh. The dishwashing was terrible, especially the glasses — we couldn’t even get close to them. We asked for disposable cups, and they gave us just three. When we asked for more, they said they were out. And don’t even get me started on dinner. Why should I pay an extra 500 shekels for food that literally made me want to throw up? Nothing looked appetizing. We ended up going to a restaurant, which by the way, is very hard to find on a Friday night. That’s what we paid 500 shekels for? I absolutely do not recommend even stepping foot in this place. My advice — read the bad reviews before booking. I seriously don’t understand how this hotel

I don’t understand how this hotel received such a high rating. My family, friends, and I were very disappointed. We were two families, each a couple with one child, and the rooms we received were tiny — barely enough space for a bed and our suitcases. There was hardly any room to move around. The breakfast was awful and didn’t match the standard found in most hotels. It wasn’t rich and varied as described on the hotel’s website; instead, it was extremely basic with a very limited selection. The food was cold and not fresh, there was no omelet or coffee station, the salads were dry and had clearly been sitting out for hours, the pastries and bread were store-bought, not freshly made. We were shocked to see that the Saturday morning jachnun came with store-bought tomato sauce instead of fresh homemade tomato dip. Dinner was slightly better, but still, the food was cold and far from high quality. The service at the hotel was slow, and most of the time, the front desk didn’t answer the phone. The only advantages of this hotel are its location — close to the Old City, free parking (if you arrive early enough), and the cleanliness of the rooms. I also want to mention that I left a negative review when checking out, but no one bothered to get back to me. To summerize, very disappointing and I will not return.

Yusef in the dining room went out of his way to accommodate my vegetarian diet. He was helpful, friendly and welcoming. The housekeeping staff were excellent. My room was very cold on the first night, so I took the duvet from the second bed to stay warm. For the rest of my stay, the house keeping staff made my bed with two duvets. What lovely awareness and attention to detail.

Chosen for colorful pictures such as this one we can still see, |but not so colorful rooms, eventhough very comfortable. |We had a nice and very calm stay, |but surprized that elevator does not power on Saturdays and the breakfast was not so tasty. Actually we have never experienced less food any other place and we left hungry overall. |Massage was excellent

Disappointing Experience at Prima Royale Hotel I stayed at the Prima Royale Hotel with my daughters for a weekend from Thursday to Saturday, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Upon entering our room, we were shocked by how small it was. It was absolutely unsuitable for three people — there was barely any space to move around. The so-called “double bed” was uncomfortable, hard, and much too small. The sofa bed wasn’t any better; it was so uncomfortable that we could hardly sleep at night. Breakfast was a disaster. The fruits and vegetables were rotten, and the eggs were literally swimming in a puddle of liquid. There was practically nothing edible, which is something we’ve never encountered before in a hotel breakfast. On Saturday morning, they served dry, inedible bourekas and jachnun, and to our surprise, the tomato sauce was replaced with plain tomato paste. Needless to say, we had to go out to eat because we couldn't eat anything provided by the hotel. We also paid a significant amount for Friday night dinner, but we walked out of the dining room after five minutes. The food looked so unappetizing that we were genuinely afraid it would make us sick. We ended up dining at a restaurant instead, spending several hundred shekels more just to have a decent meal. The room guide mentioned a “women’s kit” available at the front desk. When I asked for it, the staff had no idea what I was talking about. All in all, I do not recommend this hotel and we will definitely never return.

The service, particularly Dina, was very helpful. The choice in breakfast was inadequate. It was all buffet, nothing served fresh and the choice in the buffet itself, for example the salads and cereals was limited. Great location, rooms were fine for the price.

We had such a great experience (the staff, the facilities, the room, the shower, the products in the shower, the bed and the sheets and the pillows, the breakfast, the room service, the location) we've already booked to stay here again in a couple of days when we return from Tzfat. I'm surprised to see the negative reviews - we've stayed for four nights and everything was faultless. And we're not exactly easy to please... It made our first visit to Israel all the more special.
