Primero Primera, Tres Torres, Barcelona, Spain - Explore & Book

"When we stayed at Primero Primera, Barcelona had virtually ground to a halt due to a general strike, but there can be few places as lovely as this to hunker down for 24 hours and wait for the world to resume normality. It's not that this sort of thing happens often here (we timed our visit badly!); more that even though things around us were slightly crazy, we still felt totally relaxed in this lovely hotel. From the moment your taxi drops you in the leafy residential neighbourhood of Tres Torres to the moment you see your beautiful room and let out a contented sigh (you will), this place feels like home - though probably a lot more stylish. In the entrance hall, vintage trunks and scented candles. Up winding stairs, big silver lanterns and stone Buddhas. There are delightful communal areas - a lounge with battered leather sofas, an honesty bar and a fire; a help-yourself coffee area; a restaurant/café serving simple food. Rooms (there are 30) are very spacious as this used to be an apart-hotel, and spread over 4 floors. The owners live on the first floor; the rest are guest spaces. Imagine crisp white linens on very good beds, deep bathtubs, perhaps a terrace to soak up the tranquility. If you want a peaceful base in a hectic city, you could do no better. Highs Chic rooms with pillow menus, Natura Bissé toiletries, free soft-drink minibars and old-fashioned cups and saucers for tea A sense of elegance throughout, yet it's easy and comfortable. Particularly popular with older couples and second-time Barcelona visitors Friendly staff who put you on the inside track to the city We loved the quirky details, such as antique suitcases and faded black and white photos, and the peaceful garden - a rare treat for a city break An excellent breakfast buffet Lows You're out of the city centre and will probably rely on taxis, though they're not expensive and a metro station is close if you prefer A quiet atmosphere, so not for party-goers The restaurant has been upgraded since our last visit; we can't speak for it ourselves, but the food gets glowing reviews Some guests have mentioned late-night noise in the rooms above the restaurant" - Liz Simpson

Hotel Primero Primera (Barcelona, Catalonia) 38 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"At Barcelona’s Hotel Primero Primera, the owner’s family has lived on the first floor since the doors opened in 1955, and it shows. Spending the night is a bit like staying with an old friend with impeccable taste and a talent for hospitality. A renovation in 2011 did nothing to dampen the convivial spirit — it simply added a modern sheen to an interior defined by mid-century furniture and a timeless spiral staircase. This is the kind of effortlessly charming boutique that’s got all the requisite modern trappings, but doesn’t forget the value of a good, solid reading lamp." - Tablet Hotels

I agree with other reviews regarding hotel rating: this is, in no way, a 5 star hotel. It needs some maintenance. Breakfast is good but not at the level of variety one would expect from a 5-star outlet. There is no closet in our room of 2. At our arrival yesterday late night, no concierge service to help with luggages. I can go in with details one would expect to have/find in a 5 star. Overall, this is a good 4 star hotel (but still needs a bit of maintenance/improvement). If you are looking for a real 5 star experience, find another option.

An absolutely amazing hotel, rooms were spacious and decorated thoughtfully, I especially enjoyed the balcony. The hotel restaurant offers great tapas, one of our best meals in Barcelona. It’s not close to the tourist attractions, but it is in a safe and quiet neighborhood. One thing I found funny was an old North American couple tried to steal the uber I called, watch out because if you let someone else steal it, you can end up waiting for a while.

This hidden gem of a boutique hotel does not disappoint. The staff were professional and warm, both at the front desk and in the dining room. Do not miss out on the delicious and bountiful breakfast spread - there were so many options for every preference. Our room was spacious, sparkling clean, and we loved the king sized bed, the lovely terrace overlooking the garden and the separate spaces in our room to spread out and relax. Our favorite unexpected feature had to be the rain shower! Thank you for making such an amazing stay away from the tourist energy, in the quaint residential neighborhood that was still walkable and easy to access by public transport.

Everything was perfect. The room was large, well decorated, exceptionally clean and quiet. The hotel garden is a delightful refuge. Don't miss it. Every staff person was immediately helpful and gracious. The restaurant was also excellent, especially the breakfast. The location is in a quiet, safe residential neighborhood great for walking.

We have stayed at this charming boutique hotel two years in a row. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown yet only a short cab ride away. The room are spacious and extremely comfortable, we chose the ones with a terrace. The swimming pool is small however the tranquil garden offers daybeds to relax in. The dining room is excellent! We’ll be back next year!

I book directly with the hotel and asked for a quiet room. Unfortunatelly I was given a room next to an apartment under reconstruction for few months which the hotel already had knowledge about. In the morning a was woken up with drill sounds. Then when I tried to take a shower I realised there is no hot water. I had to start my business working day with all these problems. Hotel accepted that there was some technical issue about hot water supply on my floor but they did not know about it until I mentioned the problem. They also confirmed the construction on next doir apartment snd offered to moved me to another room. I had to leave a business client at hotel bar in order to go up to my room to pack and then finish meeting and go out to business lunch. During this process I forget my nightdress inside the bed as well as my toothbrush and toothpaste in the old room. Eventhough reception representative moved me she also failed to check the room and inform housekeeping that the guest moved to another room in hurry so they should check the old room for any items left behind. When I cane back fm business lunch and before my business dinner I wanted to rest in my new room and realised that those items are forgetten in the old room. Neither hotel house keeping nor hotel management were inhouse and only a young receptioned was left behind at 17.30 on a Friday afternoon. She could nit reach her management and could not also get any response from house keeping. I was left frustrated with nothing to sleep in and no way to brush my teeth! This hotel certainly does not deserve 5 star with poor quality of service, standard and lack of procedures!

What a delightful gem of a hotel! We were made so welcome by the attentive staff, who took care of our every need. The comfortable rooms and public spaces were a haven of peace and serenity after a long day of sightseeing.

Very stylish, quite and charming luxury hotel, in a calm and leafy neighbourhood. 5 stars at affordable rates. Perfectly situated and offers parking spaces inside the building. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Yelp
Okay so this hotel was an absolute gem! The restaurant was amazing and had a great buffet to eat from every day, easily a highlight of the stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, spoke great English and handled all of our extra little request (like calling taxis and planning a wine tour) spectacularly. The hotel was away from the heart of Barcelona too so the surrounding area didnt have many tourists, allowing me and my friend to meet locals and try spots that were less crowded. An amazing hotel experience and the room was so delightful and clean! I loved the thermostat

Yelp
The food is excellent. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service was also fantastic. The staff were so nice and helpful. I highly recommend this place and with that said, you might want to get a reservation.

Yelp
Sorry for the late review!! I stayed here with my boyfriend back in October 2014, and this was quite an exceptional find! We booked the hotel through reviews on tripadvisor, and just like the other review wrote it really is a God send. The hotel is located outside of the touristy areas, closest train station is about a 5 minute walk away from the train station Les Tres Torres, which in turn is about a 10-15 minute train ride to Placa Catalunya. Everything about the hotel is perfect. The rooms were huge! The bathroom was amazing! Everything was spotless. The bed was so comfortable - we had a king size bed, and after a long flight from NY, and walking around all day in the sun, that bed was amazing! We did get to enjoy the complimentary breakfast, which was perfect! Fresh breads, hardboiled eggs, coffee, juices, etc. Great start to our days in Barcelona. The staff go out of their way to make sure you are happy with the hotel, from printing out passes for us and making recommendations to local restaurants. We were lucky enough to be there during some warm evenings, and we purchased a couple of bottles of wine, and sat outside in the patio area enjoying the perfect weather. Overall - highly highly recommend this hotel. Honestly stay here. Thank me later :)

Yelp
Hotel Primero Primera is a godsend! Found the hotel through TripAdvisor; I wanted to stay out of the tourist throngs in Barcelona, where I have never been. It's about a 10 minute Metro ride or cab ride to Plaza Catalunya, more or less the dead center of town, but it's in a neighborhood that reminds me of the Upper East Side, except with smaller buildings. The hotel is new, a boutique hotel. We have a king room suite that is just beautiful and immaculate. The bathroom--my God, this is literally the nicest bathroom I have ever stayed in my entire life. There is a tub for soaking and a massive walk in shower with a showerhead the size of a small frisbee, so you get a hot blast of torrential rain. The room has a balcony that looks out over the cute little swimming pool. The lobby has a library with an honor bar and a room with 24-hour free coffee and ice water and a Mac with an Internet connection. The staff is wonderful--they gave us detailed instructions on taking the Metro (an easy 3-block walk) to our destinations, gave us restaurant recommendations, advice on when to go or avoid going to certain popular destinations, called us taxi cabs when we needed. A very nice breakfast is included in the room, with meats, fruit, cereal, granola, various fresh breads and jam, boiled eggs, coffee, tea and juice. I loved being able to escape the crowds and humid city heat and walk back into my quiet, ice-cold room. And the room was less than one of those big tourist hotels in the city where I would never receive the attention and enjoy the privacy I have here. I am so glad I found this place and urge you to consider it carefully if my philosophy of hotel selection seems to match yours. Thanks to everyone at Primero Primera for all your wonderful help! Oh and free Wi-Fi!

Yelp
Un lugar excelente para residir. En primer lugar por el agradable trato que dispensan. En segundo por el buen gusto y calidad de las instalaciones. En tercero por su buen emplazamiento.
