Primitivo Búzios

A nice Italian restaurant and cosy atmosphere. The staff could be more attentive, because we waited a long time to give us menus and then to get our order too. The appetisers were tasty, especially the burrata with tomatoes and pesto, accompanied by pieces of cheese bread. The main courses were enjoyed by the rest, but the pizza I got was not what I expected and it was not good.

Fantastic gnocchi, huge portions and great presentation. Very good service, food was delivered in good time and everything was cooked well. Didn't get to try the dessert because we were so full. For something a little different than the usual, definitely try here.

From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and we were warmly greeted by a sweet older lady who immediately made us feel welcome. I have severe food allergies (gluten and all seafood), and finding a place that can accommodate my needs isn’t always easy but this was an exception. She was incredibly knowledgeable and reassured us about safe options. Our server, Jonathan, was fantastic attentive, friendly, and helpful with great recommendations for everyone in our party. I ordered the chicken Alfredo with gluten-free pasta and a fresh salad both were absolutely delicious. One detail that stood out was that they offered English menus, which made the experience so much easier for us as non-Portuguese speakers. Jonathan went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, and to top it off, he surprised us with complimentary desserts at the end! It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend Primitivo Búzios to anyone visiting Rio de Janeiro. We'll definitely be back!

Best meal I had in Brazil. Gnocchi w/ Prosciutto was fantastic. Beef over linguine was excellent as well. Came with a surprise dessert. We will be back!!

The pizza here is outstanding. I’ve lived in New York for over 60 years and this brick ovenPizza was amazing as good if not better than New York! the owner is very friendly as well as crazy fast service and great quality food. We will always come to this restaurant because you can’t get better Italian food. Think about it! Friendly service, fresh food, fast and genuine Italian. Everybody knows that you can wait an hour or more for food but not here. I actually don’t wanna go anywhere else. I’m gonna try everything they have on the menu. By the way, we’re going there right now again

The best Italian dining experience you'll have in Brazil. There's a reason the Lonely Planet rates this place so highly. Seated and served immediately, quick service from the kitchen even though they were packed out the door. We had: - Burata - filete Al fungi/ Al nonno - gnocchi primitivo -pizza bufala The tomatoes on the pizza bufala were a highlight, as was the gorgonzola risotto and the steak rump. Melt in the mouth. If you're in Búzios you need to try this place. Come early. It's full by 1930. 10/10

Food and service was outstanding. It's perfect for a family. Tasty and affordable. Will recommend 10/10
