Prince Conti Hotel is our favorite hotel in the French Quarter. We've stayed there many times and our experience is always wonderful. The staff is friendly and accommodating; the rooms are clean and inviting; and the location cannot be beat. We reserve the Junior King Suite which allows us more room... and a small sitting area where we can plan our daily adventures or relax after dinner |It's also nice to have the cocktail lounge ( Bombay Club) right out the door so that we can listen to music nightly before we head to the room. The hotel is not fancy but totally reflects the spirit of NOLA. Highly recommend it!

Super cozy clean rooms, friendly staff in lobby and attentive maid service. You cannot beat this rate for Quarter, just far enough off Bourbon to avoid noise. My room had open view of sky and warehouse building, so no neighbors and I could leave drapes open. Only complaint is hotel old, so you can hear upstairs guests walking around in the AM (granted its almost noon by the time I rise). Overall, my go-to resting place for Jazz Fest every year!

Google
Great location in the French quarter and to bourbon street. Zero noise at night which was nice. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Really disappointed with the service upon checking in given all other reviews rave about the staff. We were ignored at the desk whilst the receptionist finished her personal call. She did not greet or welcome us and kept her AirPods in the whole time. Very uncomfortable. The other staff were nice enough to smile when walking past.

This is my 5th stay. I consider trying a new place every visit but always return to Prince Conti for several reasons. First is how friendly and helpful the staff is, this time especially Will Smith and Keiana. Second is location, easy walk to restaurants, Jazz fest shuttle, and Saenger Theater. Third is comfort. Amazingly quiet just one block from Bourbon Street. Comfy beds, great water pressure in showers. Will be returning.

This hotel is a great location right off Bourbon street. The staff is absolutely amazing and friendly. If it wasn’t for the staff, I would take a star off for the issues we had with the room. We stayed in a suite, which was large and gave us room to spread out. The large bright windows have gaps in them so you can hear everything on the street during a busy Friday and Saturday night. All I can say is BRING EARPLUGS! We got very little sleep on those nights. The decor of the room is nice, but all of the sheers on the windows had rips in them and the windows were filthy. Really hard to see out of them. The ceiling fans were not on and I’m glad they weren’t because they were so dusty, you could see the dust hanging off the blades. We did bring this up to the front desk staff and they immediately asked if we wanted to change rooms, but there are only 2 suites in the hotel, so we declined their offer. A manager called us and apologized profusely, which we appreciated. The cafe that is on-site is lovely, the food was incredible and the staff were very welcoming. I would stay here again, but either an interior room or bring earplugs.

First time back at this hotel since 2018. We were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Room was not in main building but across the entry drive in - room was very nicely set up; had all the amenities as advertised. Could have used a little more light in the living room and at night you could hear music and singing from the adjoining night club. Housekeeping was excellent and very through, as well as very non intrusive. Really appreciated the in-room safe. Assistance from Bell Captain was outstanding & front desk personnel really seemed to be happy to see you.

Google
I stayed at this hotel for six nights in February. The service is excellent, and the staff especially at the front desk area are extremely kind and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. I was in a room with a large window (that didn't open) facing south of the hotel. I am sensitive to sound. Here was the deal: the walls of the hotel are thin. If other guests are being loud, you will hear them. However, hotel staff preemptively told me to let them know if that happened and they'd deal with it. I didn't have a problem with other guests while I was there--people were a little loud around dinnertime as they got ready to go out, but I didn't hear them come in. Otherwise, despite being less than a block from Bourbon Street, music from the street seemed to be done by 10pm or midnight at the latest. I could definitely hear and feel bass and drum and sometimes singing noise in my room until about then, but with good earplugs, I slept without problems. It was remarkable how quiet the rooms were besides this. I definitely recommend this hotel if you want to stay in the French Quarter. You are in the thick of it and the noise is minimal for that proximity. The only negative comment I have is I tried to send a postcard from the hotel's mailbox while I was there, and when I went to put two more postcards in the box two days later, the first card was still there. But I would blame this more on USPS than the hotel itself, so no stars deducted.

Google
My hotel experience was amazing. The rooms were clean, and the staff was fantastic. Even though the hotel is less than a block away from Bourbon Street, I rarely heard any noise from nighttime activities. A big shoutout to Kenyetta; she is so nice and super helpful. I will definitely be staying at this hotel for Mardi Gras next year.

Yelp
Pros: friendly staff, clean, and LOCATION! So close to bourbon street that it's just a minute walk, but far enough away that you don't hear anything at night when trying to sleep. Cons: the rooms are sooooo small, no microwave, no comforter- we only had a few layers of sheets and an extremely thin blanket. I know this may be sufficient in the summer when it's miserable outside, but in the dead of winter (January) it does get cold at night. A comforter would have been nice. Overall, it's a nice and clean hotel in a good area. It may not be my first choice in the future but it's certainly a good option!

Yelp
I've stayed here twice. The rooms and furnishings are a bit dated but the rooms are clean and priced affordably. The staff here is always pleasant. There's a cute cafe located downstairs with good coffee. The only complaint I have, and there's not much the hotel can do, is the sound at night. This hotel is located right off bourbon street. If you have a room located on the street side, you need to bring ear plugs. It wasn't so bad on Wednesday and Thursday but the noise on Friday and Saturday wasn't something we could sleep through. We were up most of the night. There was loud music, engines revving, sirens, people screaming, etc. into the early morning hours. If that's something you can't handle, book an interior room or stay elsewhere.

Yelp
I've really enjoyed my stay at the Prince Conti. From the friendly and approachable staff, to the gorgeous rooms and affordable rates , this was a hit for me. I also loved the Bombay club and the cafe Conti. My room was super spacious and classy and quiet. Only thing I found questionable in the room was some dark hair in the bathroom. Considering I had no guests it was like um what moment but sill let it go. Excited to highly consider for my next trip.

Yelp
This hotel is a hidden gem. Great location. Clean and quiet. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nobody comes to New Orleans and the Quarter to stay in a hotel room too long. This place is a perfect launching pad to hit the Quarter.

Yelp
I've stayed in several boutique/historic hotels in New Orleans and this one is definitely my favorite. It is in the PERFECT location--just steps away from Bourbon Street, yet somehow quiet no matter the time of day. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and they make you feel welcome every time you walk through the doors. Our stay was very comfortable and restful. Clean, spacious room. Huge shower. Zero complaints! Just outside the doors in the breezeway you will find a cute little coffee shop as well as the Bombay Club, a sophisticated bar and live music venue with a gorgeous little courtyard for when the weather is nice. Everything else in the French Quarter is within walking distance. It's a great place to stay if you don't have a car with you!

Yelp
We just got home from staying at this hotel for 4 days. We had the best experience here. The staff was fantastic, I can't say enough good things about them all but specifically Joseph. He was so friendly and helpful. He helped us navigate the area, find things we needed and just took such good care of us. He really helped make our time in New Orleans memorable and great. The rooms are beautiful and very well kept. Our room was cleaned and fresh towels were provided each day. The location is also perfect. We loved our experience here and will definitely be back

Yelp
My Sister, and I just stayed for five days. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! It was incredibly convenient. The location was perfect! The five star review is really about the staff though. Everyone was friendly, and went out of their way to be hospitable. One staff member in particular really shined. Mattrese took extra time to make sure we were comfortable! She treated my Sister, and I like family! I felt like Mattrese was the warmth we needed! I was sad to leave! I highly recommended this hotel!

Yelp
Stayed here for the first time for an overnight trip. Front staff were very nice. Hotel was easy to find and it was clean. Our room was very comfortable and clean as well. It was in a good location and plenty within walking distance. My one complaint was location of the room. We were next to the elevator. And all night long people were coming on and off being extremely loud. And slamming doors. I got very little sleep. If I were to stay here again, I would not stay in a room next to the elevator.

Yelp
Alright, I have a lot to say about this hotel, some good, some bad. We'll start with the good: *The hotel is in the *perfect* location. We were within walking distance of almost everything we wanted to see, including Bourbon Street, Congo Square/Cemetary No. 1, and Frenchman Street. For being so close to Bourbon, it was so nice and quiet at night - easy sleeping, glad we weren't at one of the (pricier) hotels *on* Bourbon. *The bed was quite literally the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. *Good atmosphere, good water pressure, the whole building felt safe/secure, all the modern day amenities with the old school charm & decor. *The bar downstairs (Bombay Club) has some excellent cocktails and the breakfast place (Cafe Conti) has great food, though service was a little scrambled... we had to ask for food they forgot to bring us, as well as utensils, and they mixed our coffee order up. But they were friendly and quickly fixed these issues. And the bad: *The worst part about this hotel was the valet situation. The valet guys themselves were very nice, but it was $42/night for parking - which wouldn't have been bad, considering there was no street parking anywhere near, totally worth it. But after being assured twice (once over the phone when I booked our room and again upon arrival) that our car would be parked in their secure private lot right around the corner, we found our car parked several streets over in the PUBLIC PARKING LOT of the visitor center. We just happened to be walking by to catch a Cemetary No. 1 tour and saw it sitting there, valet tag and all. Luckily, there was no break in or damage to the vehicle (which is all that really matters), but we felt a little betrayed. *Some of the ladies at the front desk were not terribly friendly or helpful. Overall, I would stay here again, but next time I wouldn't bring a vehicle (driving in New Orleans is a nightmare anyhow).

Yelp
This is a strategically located hotel that is close to the action but still a bit away so things are not crazy at night. You are basically just off bourbon street. The hotel is moderately priced and while the interiors are a bit dated everything was clean and well kept. Props to the wonderful staff who were always friendly and helpful. They have valet service for parking but we never used it as we did not drive there, we never needed to go anywhere other than an Uber to and from the airport. The cafe that is part of the hotel is operating on a limited basis so you can get coffee or continental breakfast items. The coffee there is really good. This hotel was a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend it.

Yelp
Loved the location of this hotel. We walked everywhere except to Commander's Palace. The people at the hotel were friendly and the room was clean. We were in the French Quarter but not all the noise. They also have a nice cafe on the property. Almost forgot to mention the super shower with amazing water pressure. We don't have that at home

Yelp
I wanted to love it. MOST of the staff was wonderful. The location is great in terms of walking to everything. Do NOT under any circumstances pay extra for a suite, though, if you want to actually sleep. we were there for three nights. The first night was miserable . the suites all share a wall with a club that does karaoke until 3 am. We were subjected to ear splitting versions of GNR to Whitney Houston. This is not street noise, this is high decibel, watching your water vibrate level music. when I finally called at 2am, I was told "it's bourbon street" Speaking with the day manager the next day, they told us they could not move us , they were full. but he would talk to the club manager. second night was much better- loud but bearable. We thought we would be ok- third night - they kicked it up a notch . After hours of wall shaking "cotton eyed Joe" and ice ice baby, I finally called again. At a point around 11, the Foo Fighters (best thing they played all night) suddenly dropped in volume. Thank god it was before the next guy covered everclear , because holy mother it was awful. Tiffany called back and offered to move us. It was 1130. On our last night. My kids were in their pajamas and we had three days of unpacked stuff we would need to load . When I told her they dropped the volume to a tolerable level and my kids didn't want to move - she started laughing. Nothing about this experience of paying 1000 for three nights in a room you cant sleep in unless the club next door turns down the bachelorette party screeching "you oughta know" at 1 am just isn't funny. So sure, book Prince Conti IF : 1) you get a regular room away from "the garage" wall, 2) you're going to drink until you pass out and can't hear it or 3) you like hearing Susan from Dayton slaughter "we built this city " at 1 am when you have to hit the road at 8 am for a 9 hour drive. They need to tell people before they shell out the money for a suite, that they can stay there , they just can't SLEEP there

Yelp
Staying at this hotel was a very pleasant experience, and the price point is absolutely unbeatable for the location. The location is the best trait, being less than a block from Bourbon street, yet it feels worlds away due to being a distance from all the noise. I was expecting a room that was a bit dated based on other reviews, however I was put in the annex building, and apparently rooms have been more recently renovated there? My room was gorgeous and clearly updated, very clean as well. Plus my room was one of only two on the entire property with a balcony, so I was quite pleased and very surprised about that. The only drawback is that it seems like the annex building doesn't have an elevator, so people with mobility issues will be out of luck. I had to climb a few flights of stairs, but that's my only complaint and since it's a very old building I can forgive it. The staff here were all very friendly and helpful, and the whole property is very charming. I will aim to stay here again if I'm ever back in the French Quarter.

Yelp
This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel and will definitely be our last. We booked a deluxe room that offered views of the French Quarter and were placed in room 100. It felt like a cave, the one window was painted halfway and what was visible could not be considered a "view" by any stretch of the imagination. Theresa damage to the window trim as well. This room also just off the parking lot and we constantly heard cars all night long, not to mention the street noise! It was horrible! To add insult to injury, there was an old bar of soap left in the shower by previous guests! YUK! I called the desk and they sent someone over, and he grabbed the soap that I had just opened on the sink, not the one in the shower (I was on a business call and my husband let him in). Not to mention, the handle on the toilet was barely attached making flushing difficult. This was such a HUGE disappointment to us as our last experience had been so nice.

Yelp
Nice three night stay at the Prince Conti. Yes, close to Bourbon, and yes we could hear the revelry and yes, there were some obnoxious fellow humans who can't hear their music until it's shattering windows, but somehow I still slept great. Perhaps it was the perfect Sazaracs mixed up in The Bombay Club by Mike the bartender? I really appreciated being walking distance to everything. The staff were all very cordial and the safe, worry-free parking was worth the $42 a night. Room was a little run down, but it's an old building! I deliberately booked a historic hotel and "old" is part of the package! It would be nice if they updated the bed, though. Just a touch of noticeable sag.

Yelp
We had a great time, Bourbon Street is a litter over a half block away, they are very short blocks in the French Quarter, but hotel was very quite. Staff was very pleasant and helpful, room was tidied up everyday with four bath, hand, wash towels. The Bombay club is just outside the lobby, great place for some live music and drinks or on the corner at the Famous Door plays some good old rock n roll. Self controlled room temperature, pod coffee & tea maker, mini frig that accurately get drinks cold, iron (had to request an Ironing board), bar soap, face soap, hand lotion, and combo shampoo/conditioner. Really nice hair dryer never took mine out of the suitcase. They even had a ride to the airport waiting for us upon request $40 luxury SUV, Mo the driver was great. I'm sure I will remember something as sone as I hit enter!

Yelp
Let me start by saying that this hotel has a bit of the old world charm. It feels like a historic New Orleans hotel, I like that very much. I visit New Orleans about a dozen times a year for work, this was my first stay at Prince Conti. My review would have been more positive had it not been for the horrible service provided by the young lady at the check in desk. I wish I had her name to share here (she worked at 11am on 6/27), but of course she had no name tag and following her rude comments I'm sure that any name given would not have been correct. She was ignorant and rude from checkin to checkout and all interactions between. Lastly upon checkout I asked to be allowed to checkout at 12, she did not even respond, only shook her head no. I walked to the elevator and overheard her say " he got me f_cked up, I want all of these f_coking people out of here so that I can go home and take a bath" (yes that verbatim). This ruined my experience and not only will I not return, I will not recommend to anyone. If I had time on my side, I would have requested to speak to someone of more authority report in person. Hotel management, do your business a favor and remove this person immediately. Update: Although I had this unfortunate experience, the management at Prince Conti has taken steps to understand further what took place and assure me that this is not representative of their customer service. I'm encouraged by genuine efforts to correct the situation.

Yelp
Great hotel for the price and location! We have stayed here twice now and will be returning in December.
google avatar

Abe B.

Yelp
Front desk wa rude when asked about parking. It's $47 as of August 2022, and when I asked about alternatives I was dismissed and he said this was the cheapest in the area. Spot-hero directed me to a parking facility 2 blocks away for $13. Dishonest won't repeat.

Yelp
I'd recommend staying at this hotel and I'd stay here again when I come back to New Orleans. The location is awesome. Right in the French Quarter, close to Bourbon Street but still quiet. Our King Bedroom was very nice, comfortable bed, everything was clean, the TV worked. The staff is friendly and I appreciate that we could store our luggage after we checked out since our flight wasn't until that afternoon. The photos on the hotel website are accurate, it's really that nice.
google avatar

Brenda S.

Yelp
Great, great location. Quaint. Feels like old world but in a good way. The room feels a little smaller but it's New Orleans and I'm not interested in a large room. Had breakfast at the cafe and valet'd car both excellent. Think it is a great value.
google avatar

Jes G.

Yelp
If you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel pretty centrally located in the French Quarter, you're not going to get a better deal than the Prince Conti. 1. Take advantage of their value price. If you book far enough in advance and are sure of your plans, their nonrefundable price is really the best you'll find. 2. The majority of the staff here is amazing. The guys that work here are super friendly and will go out of their way to help you in any way that they can. The bellhops deserve all of your tips. The cleaning staff are TROOPERS. Treat them like the goddesses and gods that they are. 3. The location is great at any time of year, but especially during the carnival season as you get the best of the quarter and you're within an easy walking distance to Canal Street and all the parades and grandstands down in that general direction. I love staying here. Such a gem.

Brendon T.

Yelp
Amazing location and staff. Perfect bar across the street. And Bourbon Street right there. Walking distance to everything you need to see.

Yelp
Located in the heart of the French Quarter the Prince Conti Hotel is steps away from Bourbon Street and all the action. Everyone working here from Brian at the front desk to Greg at valet was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel is historic and our guest room was beautifully appointed. Comfortable beds, a nice shower with great water pressure, a Keurig coffee maker, and a small fridge were welcoming touches. The Bombay Club which is attached to the hotel had excellent crafted cocktails and knowledgeable bartenders. They have a great happy hour weeknights from 4 to 7 PM. Try the Sidecar, that was my favorite. They even had live entertainment in the evening. I highly recommend Prince Conti Hotel!
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
Prince Conti is a historic hotel with a heart. Great prices. Nice size rooms. Clean updated bathrooms. Love Cafe Conti for breakfast. The Bombay Club has amazing happy hours.
google avatar

Yelp
A nice, clean hotel in the French Quarter, however parking isn't easily accessible. When I stayed here in June, I observed a heterosexual couple in the lobby checking in. The man behind the counter offered them coupons for complimentary drinks in the downstairs bar. I was not offered anything similar. I guess I'm just not worthy of such consideration. Maybe it's because I'm middle aged. Maybe it's because I'm a single gay man. I don't know. But at any rate, I've decided that businesses that treat some patrons as special and honored guests and others as less-than-worthy won't receive my business. A shame, too, because this place is conveniently situated. Still, if my money isn't good enough to merit equal respect, I won't bother returning.
google avatar

Patrick R.

Yelp
The front desk staff were very pleasant, friendly and always have/had a smile on their faces from when I checked in at 2pm to when I checked out at 5am. The room is extremely clean, the king sized bed comfortable and soft. The Bombay Bar the bar staff are just as warm, pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about cocktails. I will definitely book my next stay here.
google avatar

Tom B.

Yelp
Wonderful location. Right next to the madness, but you can get away quick. Only problem is the elevator is very slow. I love it.

Robin H.

Yelp
Good location with French quarter and bourbon street at walking distance. Happy hour at Bombay cafe was good and also had live music some nights . But the staff was rude including the front desk and the manager. This was my first time in New Orleans and I wasn't up for this crap. We were there for thanksgiving weekend and the roads were blocked we had to go around the hotel and park from the back gate so me and my son could get down and my husband was walking to give the keys to the valet but this obnoxious older manager lady came screaming at us to "Get the car out of here. Right now! " and she kept screaming at least 3 times . It was so embarrassing in front of the other guest and staff to be yelled at paying customer this way. The only good staff was the valet boy. It's not my money worth for this behavior.
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
I stayed at the Prince Conti for my stay in the French Quarter. The location is excellent; you're feet from Bourbon Street where all the action is. The room was clean and comfortable and staff was friendly. They aren't doing housekeeping "due to covid" and they weren't proactive about refreshing towels and taking out trash, so be aware.
google avatar

J. J. C.

Yelp
I would give this hotel 3.5 / 5 stars. I stayed here with my wife this past spring for 3 nights. Our room was detached from the main building and we were basically in a parking lot. Not a big deal for me. But be aware that there will be a car parked a couple of feet from your door. The front desk was efficient. But it was obvious that the hotel is a bit understaffed (as are many places these days). We had to get clean towels from the front desk. There was no housekeeping services for the three nights we stayed there. We did ask, but our request was left unfulfilled. The room was overall clean. There was a sitting area apart from the sleeping area which was nice. The bed was very soft - almost too soft for me. No windows in the room. I did not care for that feature. It made me feel like I was in a bunker. There are not a lot of amenities in the hotel itself. But not a big deal because the party is outside. A New Orleans stay is not about hanging out at my hotel. There's just too much to do outside. There is a nice bar/lounge on the hotel grounds which was very lovely. It really had an upscale English gentleman's club feel to it (not that kind of gentleman's club!). I believe the name of the bar is Bombay Club, if I recall correctly. I had my first ever grasshopper cocktail there. It was delicious. I would go back there. You don't have to be a hotel guest to go to the bar. I would be inclined to stay here again if given the option. It was a satisfactory stay. But I am also open to try somewhere different next time. The Prince Conti is a solid option I would recommend with some caveats.

Yelp
The courtyard outside our room was very dirty and there was a stain on our blanket. The bed was comfortable and the location is great

Yelp
Location is what makes it good. Half a block from Bourbon st. No noise from the street. Lot of renovation work going on in the hotel. Walls are so thin, I could hear the person next door snore every night. Snoring noise, through the wall! Bed sheets smelled smoke the first night. Did they even change them? It is an old and historic building, so does that mean you can't do a little dusting? Because it was dusty, also a few smaller holes in the wall and mysterious carpet stains. I saw a little lizard in the bathroom. House keeping was not the best, I deliberately left some sweet and low spread out on the table to see if they would clean it, which they didn't. Also noticebly didn't vacuum. No microwave and fridge. But I make an improvised fridge with the filled ice bucket where I put yoghurt and milk, so that's ok. There is a breakfast and brunch place on same premises and if you order room service it will come from there. On same premises is also Bombay Club Lounge, which is really nice. The lobby is quite small. There are printing facilities for boarding pass. The room is spacious enough, bedroom and 'living room', two tvs. I think this may have been an upgrade, so I appreciate this part, didn't expect the living room area. Coffe maker in the room. Plenty of towels on arrival. Door slam quite loudly each time after opening. The window curtains didn't close properly, no matter how many times I tried, so every morning sun would come in too early. No black out curtains. One pillow had yellow stains on it. The wardrobe door was dodgy and difficult to open and close. AC and heat was good. Shower head cannot be moved. I have made quite a few complaints here, but have to repeat that the location is perfect.

Yelp
This is a super cool hotel in the middle of the French quarter, literally right next to bourbon st. We got here and they actually have a pull through for cars and valet service, which I would recommend getting because the parking garages close by were $40/night. Found out the hotel was built in 1822 and one night we stayed here it got a little spooky! Comfortable beds, thin walls.

Kenny H.

Yelp
The Prince Conti is a quaint boutique hotel a block from Bourbon St. The staff was extremely helpful with a smile. The rate was reasonable and we really enjoyed our stay.
google avatar

Tiff H.

Yelp
The Prince Conti is the closest I've come to staying on Bourbon Street. A block away from the big tourist trap party! We decided that we wanted to stay as close as possible to the action and found a great deal at the Prince Conti a few months prior to our stay. We got to the hotel a little earlier than our check in time (well, my friends did, my flight got delayed), but a few rooms were already ready so we got a room facing.... no view. Just the wall. BUT they recommended this room due to how loud the noise can get every night from Bourbon Street. Our room was on the 3rd floor with this great skylight - made for some great natural lighting during the day! At night, you can use the provided pole to shutter the window, too. It was definitely different. The crowd at this hotel is generally older - but I liked it. It wasn't a huge party at the hotel every night so we could take it easy and not feel uncomfortable about drunken shenanigans around us. The staff was friendly and nice our entire stay. As others have stated, the hotel is a little older and outdated. But I felt pretty comfortable otherwise. We weren't hanging out in the room all day or night anyway - it was basically a place to sleep and to get ready for whatever event we had going on next. Cafe Conti is right next door and is convenient for a quick bite prior to your daytime activities. Not a bad stay if you don't care too much about the fancy amenities some hotels may have.

Yelp
I enjoyed this hotel - pleasant people at check in- we got there super early and they stored our bags while we went to the zoo. We got room 200 which is upstairs and across from the main hotel- nice suite - HOWEVER - if you are a light sleeper Dauphine street will wake you at some point - not the hotels fault. Bombay club at the hotel was nice and the people working there pleasant to talk with. Guy behind the bar was super awesome. It's location can't be beat - two little stores with basics just blocks down Dauphine. One block to Bourbon if your into that - three blocks to Canal and shopping and all that holds. I would definitely stay again. By the way room 200 has and entire huge balcony to hangout on - now it does face the parking lot - but it had some views - we took a chair and bench out and enjoyed the evening .... Go and try it for yourself.

Yelp
They do have great water pressure in the shower. And let me shout out to Sam. He was on night shift and provided for our needs with a smile and a great heart. Thank you Sam! It has a nice, large safe and nice refrigerator. The bed and pillows were fine. The bathroom mirror is wonderful. This is a typical, old French Quarter hotel, 1/2 block from Bourbon Street. So my critiques are not aimed at the inherent problems of an old building. We stayed here 3 nights. Like other reviews, the walls are thin, the street is LOUD! So bring your noise canceling headphones. We had some issues with construction work being done above us but management was sympathetic and compensated us for the inconvenience. There were 4 of us staying in this newly renovated suite And in this newly renovated suite, the windows are cracked and filthy on the outside. We did not get maid service one day so had to call down for coffee, cups, towels and toilet paper (thanks Sam)...our trash is overflowing. There is only 1 sink and the pressure is low and the faucet dribbles off. The towels are like big, thin handi-wipes, only not as soft. There is no sprinkler head in the bathroom in case of fire. The bar, the Bombay Club, closed at midnight on Saturday and they were out of ginger beer for a Moscow mule. The service was slow as well.

Yelp
New Orleans was the destination stop of our road trip, and we completely enjoyed our stay from 4/20/2021 - 4/23/2021.  What a FANTASTIC hotel!  The valet, Sam, was friendly and attentive.  The front desk was efficient.  We had originally booked an interior (no window) room and were so pleasantly surprised that the room we were given had a window, overlooking the parking lot and a slice of Conti Street.  The beds were heavenly, the room's layout almost perfect (had to cover the LED light on the TV at night though, but not much can be done about that), and the bathroom was small but impressive.  We especially appreciated the huge shower with pounding, wake-you-up pressure.  It's not a budget property, but we knew it was a splurge when we booked.  It's literally 25 steps from Bourbon Street, but without all the noise.  This hotel is our #1 of 19 properties on The Epic 2021 Road Trip.  1,000,000% plan to stay again. Grade:  A

Yelp
7/2022 This is a nice quiet and cozy hotel. Just steps away from Bourbon St. But none of the noise. Rooms are a bit small but clean and comfortable. Really if you are coming to New Orleans you will not be spending much time in rooms anyway. Staff is friendly and they have off street parking. We will be back soon.

Yelp
I guess it pays to get your name out there! At the Louisiana Welcome Center, they have hotel flyers and this one looked really cute and the price on it was pretty good! That was about as good as it got, as you will find out in my review. I called to see about the rate and got a quote, and was told there was a parking fee. I did not know is was by valet only. It cost $28 per car per night. And if that weren't enough, there was a $3.36 Parking Sales Tax added. Ouch! Since there are only meters nearby and out on the street where it might not be very safe, there really is no suitable alternative. Trust me, there are people milling on the streets all night long, even when it isn't Mardi Gras time! Plus, when you tip the valet to take care of your car and to retrieve it, it all adds up!! So, we arrived to the hotel and checked-in. It went smoothly enough. I do remember that we got the AAA discount rate initially, but then she saw the flyer for the hotel I had in my hand and gave me a slightly lower rate. It still wasn't what the flyer said it would be, but I didn't argue. As for the lobby, it was small. There was room for just one person behind the "front desk". At the other end of the room, there is a small table and 2 chairs in what looks like a study area. The corridors to the rooms are pretty narrow. The room doors have character to them, they have raised decorative work on them. The room itself was charming, as in old-fashioned and kind of unique. When you enter the room, you feel like you are stepping back in time. It is furnished with antiquated items. They kept with the theme even with the TV, an old small one. I was surprised it wasn't a black & white! www.yelp.com/biz_photos/prince-conti-hotel-new-orleans#X4Z7Wr47QoA66M-LSdFD_A There was a cute full length mirror on a stand, but the mirror portion wanted to swing almost to horizontal. We used the wall to somewhat hold it in place. www.yelp.com/biz_photos/prince-conti-hotel-new-orleans#YsAjBCuZQ7Ca8sOnqC7ODA The thing that stood out about the room was the skylight. It was pretty cool to see the moon while lying in the bed. Don't forget to use the pole with a hook to pull the shade or the morning light will shine brightly down on you! www.yelp.com/biz_photos/prince-conti-hotel-new-orleans#jh8cGEO9xCEeunq03Z5c6g As you can see from the picture, the paint is cracked up in the nook and needs to be repaired. There is a desk & a chair. If you were actually working with a laptop and needed some space, you would have to clear off the cups & ice bucket, and the coffee maker & mugs. Just not enough room otherwise. The bathroom sink was not really sufficient since it just was a sink with no counter. There's a glass shelf above the sink, so we made do and put a few things on it. The room does not come with a mini-fridge nor a microwave. They don't have any available room for those items, anyways. But, it is a feature which comes in handy when you are travelling. This hotel served its' purpose. We walked to the river and to Cafe du Monde and around the French Quarter. I will more than likely choose another hotel next time, if we come back to New Orleans!

Yelp
Second year in a row we have stayed here, and will comeback!! My only complaint against the Prince Conti is that is is old and needed to be updated. Well, they have spruced up the place and redone the bathrooms! Very nice counters and shower. Although it is still really small compared to newer hotels, it is nice and in the heart of all the action (Bourbon Street)! Staff is so friendly and always easy to talk to. Park your vehicle and not worry about it till you leave. We will be staying here again...see ya next Easter weekend!

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel from 2/17-2/20 and while the stay wasn't too long, the staff was amazing!!! We were always greeted with a smile and a "how are you doing" and were ready to answer any question(s) we had! The room was clean, quiet and really more than i expected. One of the nights, we got a tad drunk and my friend got very sick. I called the front desk to ask him what he suggested in the area, for a little something to soak up the alcohol. He asked me a few questions (mostly about allergies) and the said "i got you" and we hung up. A little while later, he showed up with an egg sandwich!!! Talk about above and beyond! I wish I got his name ... it was about midnight on 2/19 (Wednesday morning) SOMEONE GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE!! Perfect location also!! Walking distance to everything! Would highly recommend this place and this town!

Yelp
Small but nice, and CAN'T beat the price! Clean room, nice beds, and friendly staff. Half a block off Bourban so close to all the action. I'll be staying again when I go back the end of June for Essence Festival.

Yelp
Awesome hotel for the price! You really can't beat the location. It's a short walk to anywhere in the French Quarter. The hotel itself is old but it gives you the classic NOLA feel. The room was a decent size, beds and pillows were comfy, and there was enough space for my friend and I to spread all our stuff out. The water pressure was rather terrible, but that's really my only complaint. I would definitely stay here again as the location was perfection!

Yelp
Smack dab in the middle of all things great about the French Quarter, but still very quiet. I slept great in a king bed, comfy and lots of pillows. The staff was lovely, very helpful. The bar in back has a good priced happy hour with great drinks. Food not on happy hour but it's worth full price. Very tasty. Especially croquettes. I'd stay again for that price and accessibility.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay at this historical hotel. The location was great since Bourbon Street was right around the corner and not far from all the action. It was still far enough away not to be in the way of the crowd since it was still on Conti Street. We stayed in a larger suite which featured a living room/area and a king size bed in the other room, each featured a TV. The only thing I wish is that they offered comforters for the bed instead of the two thin sheets. The facilities in general are clean and kept up pretty good. The wait staff was helpful with overall good customer service. The amenities appear to be decent. It's host to the Bombay restaurant and a small café. Though we didn't try those places out, I've heard good things about them. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Yelp
Hotel de-activates key cards BEFORE check out time! Asked for late check out when we arrived Friday. Checked in at front desk as we left for brunch Sunday. Desk clerk denied our request for late check out. Went back to our room to retrieve our luggage only to find that key card de-activated 20 minutes BEFORE check out time! Returned to ask desk clerk to re-activate key cards and hiked back to room (second time). Key cards still do NOT work. Back to front desk (now third visit!) and desk clerk blamed "technology." Have never heard of a hotel that de-activated key cards BEFORE check out time. Or a desk clerk who cannot handle basic requests. Sad end to a lovely weekend in NOLA.

Yelp
If you are heading to NOLA solely for a Bourbon Street binge, this is the place to stay. Half a block from Bourbon St., the location couldn't be better if you're not planning on leaving the Quarter. Price was good too. 3 nights cost me right at $500 with tax and everything. $166 a night for this location is a great deal. Comfy bed, strong air conditioner, and a shower. If your inebriated your whole trip, that's all you need I guess. If you are looking for a nice hotel to romanticize your significant other...avoid it, unless you don't mind wallpaper coming off the wall, rust on the bathroom fixtures, stains on the carpet, and a weird smell in the hallway. This hotel desperately needs updating in every way imaginable. Front desk staff was just ok. They just sat there. Didn't go out of there way to be friendly or cordial, but also weren't rude when we did need something. All in all, it was an ok stay. I don't think I'll be back unless they at least paint, replace the carpet, and wallpaper.
