This park is mostly concerned about beaches and protecting the coastline. The sand here tends to be red from the sandstone in the area. The beaches are shallow, warm, and long. Some have washrooms, showers, are dog friendly, and have lifeguards. When it comes to non-beach facilities this park is dated. The campgrounds offer virtually no privacy and are not on the same level as other national parks.

🏖️ Beautiful Coastline - Never Wanted to Leave 🏖️ You can spend an entire day here walking the coastline and possibly enjoying some of the summer activities. The park is over 60km long and simply breath-taking to soak up. It includes a beach, wildlife, and a refreshing breeze. If you’re visiting the Island or touring the Anne of Green Gables Museum, definitely plan the National Park as a stop on your itinerary.

This is a great park with many breathtaking views and beaches for miles. We walked and walked and enjoyed the day. We visited in October which I think was great because there were nearly no people there. Of course the water was cold and we didn't go in but was a great day.

Visiting Prince Edward Island National Park was an absolute gem - especially at the very beginning of October, which means solitude and silence, except for the sounds of the waves and wind. It is just a short drive from the heart of Charlottetown and is a true coastal paradise that offers something for everyone. One of the standout features of this park is its stunning sandy beaches. The golden sands stretch endlessly, making it the perfect spot for a day of sun and surf. Whether you're building sandcastles, taking a leisurely stroll, or simply basking in the sun, you'll find the beaches here to be both serene and picturesque. The sand dunes are another highlight of Prince Edward Island National Park. They are a natural wonder, rising like gentle giants along the coastline. You can hike through the park, enjoying the breathtaking vistas and the tranquil sound of the waves crashing nearby. The boardwalks in the park provide an easy way to explore the diverse ecosystems and landscapes. They are well-maintained and offer fantastic views, making them perfect for a leisurely stroll or a more extensive hike. After a day of walking, lounging, and playing in the sand, you'll be pleased to know that the park provides facilities for washing off the sand. It's a practical touch that ensures you can leave the beach feeling refreshed and clean. Prince Edward Island National Park is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring PEI. With its sandy beaches, mesmerizing sand dunes, and convenient amenities, it's the perfect place to connect with nature and unwind by the sea. Don't miss the opportunity to experience this coastal paradise for yourself!

I visited this park during the summer. It’s a highly attractive spot, especially for those who enjoy hiking and cycling. As someone who prefers road trips, I only stopped to spend some time on the warm beach, but even that was enough to feel relaxed. I’m glad I had the chance to visit.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever been. If you visit PEI I would highly recommend a visit here. Bring a baithing suit because there is a nice beach at the end of the trail. It about a 20min walk to the beach from the parking lot.

One of the most beautiful places in the maritimes, the rock formations are breathtaking, the skies are clear enough to see the milky way, and the beaches are natural and full of interesting wildlife. While hiking towards the old arch we saw all sorts of animals such as Arctic Red Jellyfish and even some foxes. I will certainly be returning on future trips.

Absolutely amazing place. The beach and trails are awesome. The beach is huge and stretches far. The water is a great temp for dipping feet into. There is an active life gaurd presence. Relaxing as can be. The trail offers some stunning views. The trail isn't difficult and the floating dock portions offer views of the dunes that is just something to see. Bonus is the massive dragon fly population so mosquito's are in check. Plus the dragon flies can be seen in some great colors and if you are calm they are more than happy to land on you! The cost of entry was $15 for myself and my spouse and it is well worth it. Parking additionally is ample. Again highly recommend if you are going to be in the area. It is thus far my favorite spot in all the province.
