"Victoria's Incredible Wildlife Whale-watching tours are one of the best ways to experience the beauty of the outdoors in British Columbia. Prince of Whales offers a number of different tour options, from zodiac adventures in the Strait of Juan De Fuca to their Northbound Adventure Crossing, which crosses the Georgia Strait to Vancouver . Tours range from three to over ten hours, and can sometimes be split over multiple days. By Max Power"

Our experience with Prince of Whales from start to finish was wonderful. The team of customer service reps at check in were top notch and incredibly helpful. We had a beautiful day out on our Zodiac. Our guide/captain Sam was phenomenal. He established communication and comfort at the very beginning to ensure we knew we could let him know if things were too fast, etc. We arrived out to sea and saw a family of orcas—it was incredible. Sam did a beautiful job following them and giving us a fantastic viewing experience. We had quite the adventurous ride. I would do it again in a heartbeat and I absolutely would want Sam again! Thank you for the experience of a lifetime!

It was great opportunity to watch ocean wild animals. I thought it was difficult to find the wheal or orca, but I saw many! They are so cute! The crew girls who entertained and explained were very professional and nice. Free hot coffee, tea and hot chocolate were served. The ship is very cold, needed to wear thick inners or jacket. Very difficult to find the parking near meeting points. Recommend to go by city transit or taxi.

We are from the UK, and this trip did not disappoint. What an incredible experience. We had dozens of hump backed whale sightings, including a breach! The ship is the perfect way to make this trip and the ships crew are fantastic. A special shout-out to Maddie who demonstrated amazing knowledge and enthusiasm. Highly recommended.

We went today to a tour in the bigger boat. Checking-in was quick and easy. The boat is clean, comfy and it’s so great that you can move around during the trip (it is 3 - 4 hours). The two bathrooms are handy since they offer warm beverages, making the experience even better. The staff is super friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. We were able to see orcas and humpbacks. Something extra that I wasn’t counting on, is that they take pictures and send them to you, so you don’t have to worry about capturing the moment. Just enjoy the experience, maybe take a video but they got you covered with the images. Amazing experience, a bucket-list must!

We had an incredible time whale watching, and our guide George made the entire experience unforgettable. From the moment we set out, George’s knowledge and enthusiasm were contagious. He knew exactly where to go, shared fascinating facts about the local marine life, and had a great sense of humor that kept the whole group engaged and smiling. We were lucky enough to spot several whales breaching and even had a few come surprisingly close to the boat. George made sure everyone had a good view and was always ready to answer questions or point out interesting behavior. His respect for the animals and the environment was also really impressive. If you’re considering a whale watching trip, I highly recommend going with George—you won’t be disappointed. It was the highlight of our trip!

8 of us braved a cold and windy day to hopefully catch a glimpse of of some whales. There was a quick sighting but unfortunately that whale was more interested in feeding. We boated over to the lighthouse where some sea lions were basking on the rocks and an eagle was spotted. We boated some more and spotted a young humpback closer to shore. He surfaced a few times and then suddenly he popped up out of the water. Not once, but 7 or 8 times! Apparently this is rare to see such a performance. We were very lucky to have witnessed this. The staff were amazing! Very informative and just as excited as we were! Later we all received wonderful pictures by email. Would highly recommend Prince Of Whales Adventures.

Would definitely recommend this tour! Since the transient Orcas were socializing and hunting, we were able to observe them for quite some time, they even came near us to check us out! Boat (Salish Sea Catamaran) was spacious and stable thanks to Capt. Richard and First Mate Richard. Naturalists Michael and Reid were absolutely helpful in spotting wildlife and in telling us interesting facts about the Orcas and Sea Lions. Included in the package are wonderful shots of wildlife taken by Michael, which will be sent to the registered email address after the trip.

🌊 Absolutely Outstanding Whale Watching Experience! 🐋 I’ve been on several whale watching trips around the world, but this one with Prince of Whales truly stood out as one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! Captain Francois went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible views of the whales — always positioning the boat perfectly, even compared to other vessels nearby. You could really tell how much care and experience he brought to the trip. Naturalists Janae and Michael were phenomenal — incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and patient with all of our questions. Their insights made the entire journey feel personal, educational, and awe-inspiring. A particularly beautiful touch was that they take professional photos of the orcas during the trip using a big-lens camera — and share them with you right away, for free. No extra fees, no hassle. It’s such a thoughtful service, especially since you’re often too in awe (or too far away) to get great shots yourself. What made this even more special is that I actually heard about Prince of Whales from a fellow traveler I met on a diving trip in the Dominican Republic — proof that when word-of-mouth is this good, it really travels the world. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly, highly recommend — I’d do it again in a heartbeat!
