"How did it strike you on arrival? On arrival, I was surprised to see that the hotel isn't on the beach, rather on a harbor. The lobby is so large that it comes across a little clinical, with a plethora of check-in desks. Nice. What’s the crowd like? This is Hawaii's answer for the business traveler. No time to hang by the ocean, but provides the requirements very well. The Prince Waikiki does in-and-out very well. It seems like an ideal place to have a dinner meeting or quick drink by the pool after a conference. How was check in? Check-in was seamless. No issues with the room or the tech at all. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.My appreciation for the hotel grew when I entered my room, an ocean front premier. You immediately are drawn to the view of the ocean, provided by the floor-to-ceiling windows, which open so you may capture the sea breeze. The bed hit the target on softness, and the decor didn't do much to detract from the view. I was surprised to see such a large tub and separate shower. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase? The windows that open so you can feel the breeze off the ocean is a big deal to me. Other than that, it had a seemingly massive T.V. (46 inches) and some nice artwork, mini fridge, coffee maker, and not much more. Room service and food: Worth it?The hotel's signature restaurant, 100 Sails, doesn't do much on the culinary front, but makes up for it in views of the harbor and sunset viewing potential. You can either enjoy the buffet or partake in sushi. Nothing too exciting happening here. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.The pool is one of the highlights of the property. The infinity pool is lodged over the harbor, and would provide the ultimate sunset swim. Bottom line: worth it, and why?For the on-the-go traveler who doesn't want to to give up on amazing views and decent dining, this is a fantastic spot. Wouldn't suggest it if you're looking for incredible dinning, beach, or spa experiences." - Corbin Chamberlin

What a perfect place to stay, quiet evenings over looking the harbor/ocean. Staff is so friendly. Check-in/check-out super easy. Hands down the pool has amazing sunset views at night. The coffee bar is yummy, and the store is really helpful for all things you may need. We had a pleasant stay! The coziest pillows! We ended up checking out to go home, and our flight got canceled and they took us right back and had tooth brush kits ready for us.

I read a lot of reviews before choosing the Prince Waikiki and it was perfect! It was my first time in Waikiki and I was worried about crowds and the atmosphere of a busy resort. The Prince was the opposite- it is beautiful and peaceful. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. The rooms are comfortable and the views are breathtaking. The massive windows open and you can catch the ocean breeze while enjoying the fantastic view. The pool, bar and restaurants were wonderful, and we could easily walk or taxi to other spots in Waikiki. If you are looking for an escape - book a stay at The Prince!

The staff here does a tremendous job of making you feel like you have the hotel to yourself. They were incredibly polite and professional. The hostess at 100 sails learned our names and would greet us every morning for the complimentary breakfast. While visiting the roof-top infinity pool, servers came by our chairs and offered delicious cocktails from their menu. We never had to leave our chairs or lift a finger. Near the end of the day, we wanted to spend time outside and rent a cabana. The staff member warned us that we may not get our money's worth as the cabanas were to close in 3 hours as opposed to having it for the entire day. We were fine with this arrangement, but to our surprise, the staff member went above and beyond to give us 50% off the regular rental price! The only major downside, outside of their control, was the location. Despite it's name, it is a bit of a walk from Waikiki beach - several other hotels are significantly closer, but may not have such a high level of service. The roof-top pool and beautiful views of the harbor help to combat this, and it wouldn't necessarily stop us from staying here again.

I’ve stayed at Prince Waikiki twice. The first time was a couple trip and because I had such a wonderful experience the second time I went back with my family. The views of the harbor and infinity pool are amazing. Even though the hotel rates are pricy but the service is top tier. I always feel that the staff takes their time to accommodate you and it makes a big difference. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are a bonus. I love the luxury touch and everything is very clean and updated. It’s definitely a 5 out of 5 in my book and I highly recommend.

My stay at Prince Waikiki was fantastic! The room service was excellent, and the valet services were prompt. The staff did an awesome job retrieving our vehicle whenever needed. We greatly appreciated the front desk services, especially for providing an extra bed. My family thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the breathtaking views. Highly recommended!

Google
The stay and location was cool the view is breathtaking depending on the floor and room. Upon checking in not much was discussed from the front desk guy checking us in about the hotel I had to ask where was breakfast located although the buffet breakfast is a great add on the variety of the buffet is the same every morning , the morning staff for breakfast is very nice and helpful . The one thing I didn’t appreciate was the pool bartender deciding to drop her nuts on me and my mom demanding an I.D from someone that’s over 30 when others I.D’s we’re not getting check , idk what rock she’s living under but that’s bad for business, people pay a lot of money to stay here and enjoy themselves watch how you speak to people

My wife and I stayed at the Prince Waikiki for the first part of our honeymoon - the room and service were fantastic! Despite not paying extra or specifically requesting it, our room came with an incredible view of the sunset over the ocean every day. The room also included some fancy features that most hotels in the price point don't have, like motorized shades (both translucent and blackout) and an extremely spacious bathroom with separate shower/tub and a toilet with a bidet. All service members were very friendly, and as long as you're willing to walk up to a mile, all the beaches, restaurants, and shops you need are within walking distance. Overall, it's a great deal for the price, and it was absolutely the best room we had during our trip. Thanks again!

Google
We've stayed here twice (2022 and 2024), and both times were wonderful. Employees are always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel is located in a quiet part of Waikiki, but still walking distance to the beach and downtown restaurants. The rooms are clean, and we love the bathroom (and Toto!). It may be a little pricier than other hotels in the area, but it's well worth it. We paid extra for the Club during one stay, and it was great to have a "home base" to return to after a day of exploring. The Club is a private area near the pool that offers unlimited food, alcohol, and other beverages throughout the day. You also get a room on a higher floor, so you have a better view of the harbor/ocean. The only downside is that the pool patio area always seems to have loud music playing, which makes it hard to relax with a good book. But the pool is a good place for families with young kids who don't want to fight the beach crowd.

Yelp
Prince Waikiki: Where you definitely won't be treated like a King or Queen and you'll be wondering Why you chose Waikiki. It's a 3 star hotel with a 4 star price tag and 3 might be being a bit generous. Expect to be underwhelmed. Parking is ridiculous. Both expensive and exhausting. Staying a week? With resort fees, plan on spending close to an extra grand for the privilege of navigating the maze that is their awful self park garage. Every night your wind down routine will be driving up and down 4 floors making multiple 4 pt turns only to realize there are no open spots and you'll need to have your car valet parked. Enjoy waiting around for 20 minutes while the 1 person working the valet counter decides to finally notice you. Fun way to spend an hour every evening at your luxury hotel. Things to do in the hotel? Freeze your butt off in the unheated pool while kids and rude guests splash water in your face. Or cram into the 1 Jacuzzi with 20 other guests all of whom decide to bring their kids in. Done with the pool deck? No worries there is an overpriced breakfast buffet that screams "slightly better than the complimentary holiday inn breakfast bar". Or grab coffee in the morning from the overpriced cafe where the baristas will be sure to forget your order and charge you 25 cents for a cup of water. Yup nothing says luxury like getting nickel and dimed for water. How about the dry cleaning service? You might get your clothes back in time to attend your friend's wedding or you might need to wait in the lobby for 40 minutes while they figure out where your clothes decided to scamper off to. Between waiting for the valet and your missing laundry you'll be spending plenty of time waiting for staff in the lobby. Luckily the lobby has that certain 1990's charm - in that it feels like it hasn't been updated since the 90's and fails to impress. Rooms are cramped and dated. Enjoy the tiny tub and shower that really makes you feel like you're back in your first apartment after college. Pillows make you feel like you're sleeping on air, in that they have zero support and turn to pancakes as soon as you lay your head on them. Need a pull out bed for your teenager? Not adding any additional guests to the room? Sure, only an extra 85 bucks a night for the privilege. Luuuuxary -- not even Vegas is so bold. How about the hotel's location? You're at the very end of the strip with absolutely nothing to do. Want to go to the beach? Plan to walk 10 minutes next door to the Ilikai -- which honestly seems like a much better hotel and actually has a beach in front of it. Want to shop anywhere besides the local McDonald's and ABC store, expect a 20-30 minute walk to actually get on to the strip. Virtually nothing to do here, and not a convenient location at all. And that's about it... The Prince Waikiki luxury experience. Very much do not recommend. I was misled by other reviews and aggregate review scores so hopefully this does someone else some good. Yelp
ALOHA! We had a great stay here at the Prince in February. We had a beautiful ocean/harbor view from our room. Awesome sunsets every night. The room itself with it's high ceiling was very spacious, and clean. The bathrooms were also very nice and clean. You gotta mention the heated toilet bidet. LOL. The parking was convenient, but the parking spaces were a tad small, so if you have a bigger rental car, it could be challenging. Pool/Bar and gym are located on the 5th floor. Bar service was great, and the pool has a gorgeous view of the harbor/ocean. Gym was enough equipment to a decent enough workout in, but can get kind of packed during the prime hours of the day. From check in to check out, the service here was FANTASTIC. I wish all hotels were like this. We will likely stay here again when we are back in Honolulu. MAHALO!

Jerry E.

Yelp
Learned one incredible lesson here today. Customers are no longer able to obtain validation for buying exorbitant cost drinks and snacks at their 5th floor poolside, or the store in three lobby. Unless you are the hotel guest, you will be losing $7.00 per hour for the privilege of parking in the hotel parking garage. That price isn't out of the range in the area, but why spending money in the hotel facilities and still need to pay regular parking fees? Makes no sense to me. Definitively will do my shopping elsewhere.

Lisa N.

Yelp
100% recommend. Service, the view, the food, cleanness, amenities, everything is how you would hope it would be and better. Our stay was amazing!

Yelp
Attended an event at the Prince Waikiki. Ample parking- although the stalls are on the small side. There are a coffee shop, a Mana Up store of items made in Hawaii. Also a logo shop for that perfect shirt. Beautiful lobby with cool inviting furniture. Event rooms are on the 3rd floor. Never know who you will meet at this popular hotel. I met the longtime president of the chamber of commerce. Great restaurants in my opinion with unobstructed ocean views while dining by the window . Employees are personable and will help you to find where you need to go.

Yelp
Yes we love this hotel and the room is huge! Comfortable bed and huge bathroom. They have a bidet! Service is super friendly and nice. Definitely will be back again.

Yelp
Best staycation in Waikiki yet!! My husband and I love staycations for the weekend. We thought to try out Prince since we frequent 100 Sails for dinner. Check in process- easy peasy and quick. We even got complimentary water bottles and a little tote bag. The front desk staff were very attentive and nice! But I do have to mention that the valet workers were the first we came in contact with and they were all so nice. Room - spacious, CLEAN, beautiful view. Wonderful bathroom and comfy clean beds! Just didn't care for the older phones and old flashlight in the drawer but they work! Room Service - great menu, easy ordering and fast delivery! Food was tasty, got a burger, and tots. We also got the donburi, it was alright. Pool - wonderful! Clean, and glad the infinity pool was for adults only. Though they could enforce that a bit more. The poolside staff were attentive and speedy. Check out - FAST and simple. Makes me so happy. They offer kamaina discount and we'll be back!

Yelp
During my recent visit to Oahu, I chose to stay at the Prince Waikiki for its proximity to the convention center. The Prince is located at the edge of Waikiki really edging into a somewhat seedy area of Honolulu. It is not directly located on the beach, but you get to enjoy stunning views of the ocean from its all ocean-view rooms. I found the room to be very clean and comfortable. It was somewhat on the smaller side, but perfect for me as a solo business traveler. The bathroom was quite large in comparison with good lighting and enough counter space for me to spread out my toiletries. The toilet room was large, but perhaps too large since the shower was very tight. The shower water pressure was great, though. I found the scent of the shower and bath products oddly off putting and next time, I would bring my own. The hotel pool is located on the 5th floor and was quite windy in October. I think that the pool is far more suited for solo travelers or couples and not the resort experience that a family would necessarily enjoy. The pool bar was 2-stars at best. The hotel gift shop is quite nice and also offers drinks and snacks. The coffee shop opens at 6am and I found to be really good. The main hotel restaurant buffet was fine - probably 3 stars. The hotel also houses a very popular sushi restaurant, which was good but busy. Overall, this is a nice hotel for business travelers and couples, but if I were to return to the area with my family, I would stay elsewhere.

Yelp
I've stayed at this hotel twice now and no the times have been so good. The service of the staff here was always amazing. The valet are so nice and efficient. The front desk associates were also so friendly and kind. The room was spotless and comfortable. Beds were nice and the views are so calming. We even got lucky with a perfect rainbow on our first day there.

Yelp
I was at the Prince Waikiki today for a conference. This hotel is really nice and the service is outstanding. For the prices that they charge it should be. We were in the Pi'inaio Ballroom 1. The charge to use the ballroom with all the equipment setup for 7 hours was 15k. We also had the Pa'ina Lunch Buffet, which consisted mostly of Hawaiian food. There were a few different salads, fruit platter and taro rolls for the starter. For the entrees there were white rice, steamed veggies, Huli Huli chicken, Chinatown steamed fish and mini pork lau lau. The desserts were chocolate mac nut pie, taro cheesecake, mini vanilla cream puff and their signature bread pudding with Laie vanilla bean anglaise sauce. It was $60 per head. The food was really good. I only had one plate of food and tried one of each dessert though. I could have gone for seconds, but didn't want to fall asleep. The lau lau and steamed fish were my favorites of the day along with the bread pudding with anglaise sauce. I want to thank my boss for setting this up and for gathering the funds to pay for this.

Yelp
I am super disappointed to have to write this review, but am writing it in hopes that others who are choosing hotels can see the full picture. As someone who looked through multiple reviews on multiple sites for months leading up to my trip and decided on Prince Waikiki, I was appalled when I saw the state of the room I was supposed to be staying in for a week. The room looked like it hadn't been dusted in months, there were stains all over the sheets, dust under the mattresses, and a questionable stain inside the nightstand. It is quite unfortunate because service was excellent, but I really question if housekeeping is ever done. I've been to hotels where they only cleaned up areas that were visible, but didn't experience even that amount of effort at Prince Waikiki. If you decide to stay here, I really encourage you to take a detailed, close look at how clean your room really is. Giving 2 stars since the location was very good for staying close enough to the city, but far enough to not hear the noise all night and since at least the towels were clean during our stay.

Yelp
My daughter and I were meeting my in-law's immediate family for a family get together at Oahu. We were going to meet them at Ko Olina on Saturday but I read about Waikiki Fireworks so I used my credit card points and decided to stay at Prince Waikiki for one night to catch the Waikiki Fireworks over Kahanamoku Beach. We took the early flight and arrived close to noon. I was going to just check in and ask the hotel to hold our luggage while we explored the area. Surprisingly, we were told that there's a room available. I was excited however due to some miscommunication, the current guest decided to extend their stay so the room wasn't available to us anymore. Disappointed, we came back down to the check-in desk and they were apologetic about the mix-up. Instead, she hooked us up to the 27th floor of Diamond Head Tower and mentioned that we would be able to see the fireworks from our room. My daughter and I were already wondering where to watch the fireworks, having known that we could just watch it from our room was a big plus. When we wheeled our luggages to the room, we were in awe of the stunning view of the Magic Island. We were able to see the Kahanamoku lagoon from our room. On the 27th floor, the view was very picturesque. In our mind, we still wanted to watch it from the beach. We walked around the beach and I was already pretty tired from the early travel so we went back to our room and rested up. I didn't want to go too far for dinner so we ended up eating at Pau Hana Place, which is just right across from the hotel. At around 7:35 pm, I told my daughter we need to hurry up if we want to see the fireworks. It was pretty cartoonish as both of us were almost running to our hotel. We waited and peeked out into the dark. We could see boats, cars, and even helicopters all waiting for the fireworks. At around 8 pm, boom the beach was lit up with fireworks. The view was incredible. Even though it was just 1 night, the stay was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful, recommending places to eat around. My daughter had a lovely stay with Prince Waikiki. We highly recommend the place. By the way, you can also watch the Waikiki Fireworks from the pool. It was a great tip from one of the staff.

Michalann A.

Yelp
What a lovely stay! Gorgeous ocean views that do not disappoint. I came in for a work trip, so using the amenities like the pool and spa was not something I can comment on, but the on-site restaurant was delicious, again with gorgeous views. They provide water bottles to each guest and have filling stations throughout the hotel. The gift shop had all the little things and sandwiches, etc. I only took one photo on-site, but it was the prettiest one of the entire trip. The beds were comfy. Great pillows. Shower and bath were separate which would make it nice for families with little ones. The bathroom also had a bidet, makeup mirror and offered plenty of space for your toiletries, so everything was organized. I can't wait to come back on vacation and enjoy more of the amenities.

Tiffany H.

Yelp
Pillows were not cleaned. I am assuming the housekeepers did not change out the pillows from the previous guests. There was hair and stains on all of the pillows. The sink was clogged when I turned the faucet on. Music and loud banging outside Guest services take forever to respond to requests Front desk receptionist do not really care when you report the cleanliness of bedding Will not visit again.

Yelp
Staying in the 32nd floor Club room at the Prince Waikiki is an absolutely wonderful experience! Floor to ceiling windows provide stunning panoramic views of the ocean, harbor, mountain and the city. The room is spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom is beautifully done. A large tub, spacious shower and a bidet. Exclusive access to the Club lounge is one of the great amenities that come with a stay on of the Club floors. The poolside lounge offers excellent views of the harbor and ocean with unlimited food and beverage access. The staff in the lounge go above and beyond to ensure that you have the best experience possible. Breakfast buffet at 100 Sails Restaurant offers a large variety of foods from American to Hawaiian to Japanese breakfast options. Club seating overlooks the harbor with ocean views. One of y favorite sushi restaurants, Katsumidori Sushi Tokyo, has its only location outside of Japan on the first floor of the Prince Waikiki. You'll also find The Honolulu Coffee Company on the first floor if you're looking for a specialty coffee drink. Their coffee is featured throughout the hotel. In the rooms and restaurants The infinity pool on the 5th floor is a true oasis. Very relaxing! Sunset views are perfect from this pool. The hot tub is on the small side, but, the infinity pool is warm and the regular pool is large and can easily accommodate guests. In conclusion, my stay at the Prince Waikiki's 32nd floor Club room was an incredible one. It started with the VIP treatment from check in that continued all the way through check out. All rooms are ocean view. So no matter which floor you stay on, you'll have an amazing view. Kama'aina discounts and other promos are available. Whether it's a staycation or a vacation, a stay at the Price Waikiki will be a memorable one.

Yelp
We went to Hawaii twice in 2023. We stayed at the Prince Waikiki, the end of February-early March 2023 I booked it in the year of 2022, where they had a promotion where u get a discounted price from the resort fees normal cost $49 (maybe we only paid half the cost due to the promotion.) we stayed about 4 nights. I noticed that other guest have a "Waikiki bag," so I called the front desk (a gentlemen with a soft voice answered the phone) and he said we would have to buy it at the store, I went to the store located in the first floor but they did not carry it. We checked out and our family went back to California. My daughters went back for our family event and stayed at the Prince for just 1 night and believe it or not they received the "Waikiki bag." Apparently it was complimentary. I wondered what happened to our complimentary gift bag when we arrived and at that time we had a 2 bedroom suite which cost us over $5000 for 4 nights. I believe it was Leah...who checked us in and she must of withheld our complimentary gift bag. Believe it or not...this changed our view of the Prince Waikiki which use to be our favorite hotel in Hawaii. When we had a to go to Hawaii again in October 2023 due to a family event, we decided to pass on the Prince and decide to try the Westin Moana Surf Rider ...And yes...they gave us our complimentary bags more than 1...but not only that...Westin Moana is more lively, the beach is literally in the backyard....and streets closed off during the weekend in October with all kinds of vendors. Live music everywhere...It seemed as if the party went to us. Now our go to place is the Westin Moana Surf Rider. New turn of events...due to that the two person we encountered at the Prince Waikiki "held" the gift bags aka did not give us the complimentary gift bags ...it resulted in us trying - different hotel in the area and liking Westin Moana better than the Prince Waikiki.

Yelp
I've never seen a hotel where the maid service is so detail, oriented, and thorough. They do an amazing job. I've never seen this degree of attention in any hotels that I've stayed at over the years. Kudos to their staff.

MyAnne K.

Yelp
Wonderful experience. Well kept property. We enjoyed our stay here; comfortable, clean, hospitable, and LOCATION. Close to Ala Moana shopping mall, across the street from the beach, and a 15-minute walk from downtown Waikiki. This property has it all. Floor to ceiling windows, peaceful, nice toiletries, comfortable bed, close to a HUGE MEGA ABC store, beautiful views and infinity pool. I will definitely be back to visit!

Ashley J.

Yelp
First time staying at the hotel and it was awesome for the most part. JT at the bellhop/valet was a joy. Branden at the front desk was great as well. Room service was superb along with the pool and deck bar. My only complaint was the "spa" which was really a hotel room with two massage tables. For the price I could have went to another hotel in Waikiki and had a better experience all around. The masseuse although nice was not what I would imagine for a 4-5 star hotel spa. At one point he even burped loudly if he wasn't talking. I'm use to going to a spa that's serene and quiet. Although I would easily stay at the hotel again, the spa services would be a hard no.

Jaimie S.

Yelp
Luxury staycation. Booked 2 nights here for my partners 30th birthday. First of all their lobby smells so musky, with their signature smell. Very distinct everytime we went there we knew we were at Prince Waikiki. It isn't stink, just distinct. The pool area is such a cute place, no shade around the pool but there is seating with some shade farther away near the bar area. They have a jacuzzi, a pool and I believe in the front facing the harbor that was the salt water infinity pool. The height on the pools was all under 4ft which is nice especially because there are no lifeguards around. I could not find the spa but I did see the gym which was a nice sized gym. Our room was nice and clean, even with the harbor front view it was still nice to see the ocean. They gave complimentary water bottles which was refillable, 2 only. Wish it was 3 or enough for all guest registered to the room, but it's fine. They have water stations all around the hotel which was nice to go and refill water when we needed. The front desk was very nice, I texted with them throughout our stay which made it so much more easier. They delivered to our room a slice of cake for my partners birthday complimentary and it made it so special to intimately sing in our room to him. Thank you for helping us have that private special moment. It was a good thing I came prepared with our own candles and I brought a lighter too. I'm definitely coming back to this hotel for future staycations. Also check out the Kama ania rate, it's good. Thank you prince for making local rates great and for having amazing customer experience and keeping the hotel feeling very luxurious. We loved it. Best part, buffet on property, a nice sushi restaurant and a little coffee/smoothie cafe. You don't have to leave the hotel. ONE THING THAT I WILL SUGGEST AND THAT WAS VERY FRUSTRATING WAS THE BREAKFAST BUFFET. You can pay extra for a breakfast buffet including with your stay. Please LET US KNOW THE TIMES WE CAN GO. On sundays they close the buffet at 9AM!!! And they get ready for their brunch buffet, that is MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE. I was saddened that we missed our breakfast buffet because we were so hungry I didn't know that they closed at 9am I thought it was at 10:30am. We asked to be a walk in for their brunch and we paid a lot more. PLEASE BE MORE CLEAR ABOUT THE BREAKFAST BUFFET TO GUESTS!

Sophia W.

Yelp
Staff was very friendly , facilitators and amenities were spot on . First time for a conference. I have coffee shop in the hotel they gave reusable water bottles to fill up at stations. Pool was awesome restaurants in the hotel and close to Waikiki and Alamoana shopping center.

Dimitri V.

Yelp
We had an incredible stay at the Prince Waikiki the week before last. In town for my high school reunion, so they were offering a corporate discount rate that sealed the deal. It's right across from the Alawai Marina, near Ala Moana shopping center so actually on the edge of Waikiki. So you weren't right in the middle of the action and had a half mile walk to get to Waikiki beach and the shops and restaurants on Kalakaua avenue. However, that meant it was a little quieter, the lobby was peaceful, and you were a block away from the largest shopping center in Hawaii and its cheap food court. It was also very easy for us to get out of Waikiki by car. Best of all, if your rental is electric, they have four chargers in the garage. The hotel was very pleasant, with several delicious restaurants and a bar next to the two swimming pools (one for adults). They were small, but the perfect temperature, and you couldn't beat the view. The first night we ate at the Japanese restaurant, and the sushi was amazing. I felt transported to Tokyo. We only had the breakfast buffet at the 100 Sails, which wasn't cheap, but very good quality, and a very wide selection of items that would please anyone, including an omelet station. Everyone working in the restaurants, at the bar, and in the lobby were super friendly. They made our stay perfect. Lastly, our room was wonderful. Slept well, had plenty of room, and complete room service was provided. We would definitely return if we found ourselves back in Honolulu.

Yelp
Staycation in Waikiki for the Prince Kuhio Holiday. Decided to book Prince Waikiki and luckily I did because not only I got a good Kamaaina rate of $199 per night . The hotel itself is very nice and conveniently located at the beginning of Waikiki. Walking distance to Ala Moana shopping center and the beach . Checked in on Friday night after work and of course enjoyed the free fireworks show from the Hilton Hawaiian. The Prince hotel offers a free eco bag also 2 free bottle water in the room . The room itself is very nice a view of Ala Moana beach park , also a nice sitting area along with a work station and a standing walk in shower. The interesting thing is the toilet it was a bidet . The Kamaaina rate also include 50% off the resort fee along with 50% off self parking . Can't go wrong because other hotels in Waikiki will charge for those fees . Support local

Yelp
I just realized that this was the first hotel I've ever stayed at in Honolulu. My previous trips here were a very long time ago when my dad took the family here on vacation and had us stay in a rental condo near the Queen Kapiolani Hotel across from the zoo. Jamie W. selected this particular luxury hotel on the northern end of Waikiki based on a deal where we got a fourth night free after a three-night stay. Granted it was $400 per night, but this was the most famous stretch of Oahu beach property after all. We reserved the Oceanfront Premier room which allowed us spectacular floor-to-ceiling views overlooking the yachts at Ala Wai Boat Harbor and the Pacific beyond from the 30th floor. Because there was no lanai, we could open our double windows freely and let the ocean breezes come through. The room was over 400 square feet with a corner unit couch, and the bathroom conveniently had a shower stall separate from the bathtub. The piece de resistance was the electric toilet with the heated bidet. The hotel is in the same cluster as the Hilton Hawaiian Village with its famous lagoon and the legendary Illikai where Jack Lord turns around in the opening credits of "Hawaii Five-O". However, we were the closest to the Ala Moana Shopping Center, only a five-minute stroll. Just as close are the Ala Moana Beach Park and Magic Island. It's about a half-hour walk in the other direction to the middle of Waikiki where the tourist-infested restaurants and bars are, but that's why we were here, right? That and finding a small parcel of sand on Waikiki Beach for ourselves. If you choose to stay at the hotel, there's the pool on the 5th floor with cabanas to reserve plus the infinity pool facing the ocean as well as the Hinana Bar for poolside cocktails. We also received helpful assistance from the concierge desk when it came to planning our Diamond Head hike and tracking our driving route around the island. Lastly, there's the Honolulu Coffee Company in the lobby to warm ur engines up in the morning. If you want the world-class Waikiki experience, this should be a prime candidate because you couldn't pay me enough to stay at the Trump International down the road. RELATED - Exploring Hawaii? Yelp
First time ever staying at the Prince and this is by far the best hotel I've stayed at in hotel. The service here is impeccable and the real reason why I'll be coming back. Every worker I encountered was friendly and always had a smile on their face! From the workers in valet, front desk, concierge, staff in the restaurant, housekeeping...sheesh who else did I miss?! Everyone had a genuine desire to help with a sense of urgency! Front desk greeted our kids with books and a flower pin for my daughter when we arrived! My husband and I honestly couldn't stop talking about how amazing the staff is here during our stay! We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with spectacular views over looking the ocean. I love how spacious the living area is with plenty of room for my kids to run around! Housekeeping kept our rooms nice and tidy with bedsheets crisply folded and towels replenished every morning. The rooms are equipped with automatic black out window covers with a touch of a button. Honolulu Coffee is located in the lobby. The Hawaiian Latte is aromatic with a nutty touch of flavoring to it. My favorite and my go-to morning Joe every day! Katsumidori Sushi restaurant located in the lobby is amazing with high quality fish! We ordered for take out and ate in our rooms almost every single night we stayed here. They have grilled food items such as chicken and shrimp with rice which was great for my kids! (Not available for dine-in, they have different menus for take out & dine in). Other nearby food locations within walking distance is Red Lobster & McDonalds. Otherwise, you will need to travel by car to drive out! There's an ABC store also across the street from the hotel. There's a convenience store located in the lobby with beverages, snacks, medicine. No direct beach access from the hotel. May be a 10-15 min walk to the beach.

Yelp
This review is mostly for the parking. I went to the Prince for a wedding and the parking garage is a complete JOKE! It's so tight and small, half the stalls are like made for compact. The first level is only reserved parking and there's maybe 4 more floors left. The crappy thing is there's only one way up and one way down, by the time u reach the top you have to make like a 4point turn to turn around and go down the same way. With other cars trying to also find parking it was a complete mess. THEN when I tried to go valet they said valet was ONLY for hotel guests. The only other options was to try and find parking at the marina or park at Ilikai Marina around the corner. For people looking to use this place as a party venue, I definitely would not recommend, your guest would appreciate not having to fight for parking and esp paying an arm and a leg at an off-site location. Another bad thing was that they didn't accommodate the right amount of servings of food per guest. They ran out of the prime rib by the time our table was called.. And it looked like it ran out a while before us because the station was cleaned like it wasn't even open. I assume the host paid the food per person and not per roast beef. Either the chefs were giving too big of a piece or someone messed up and didn't accommodate for the amount of people. A lot of people were upset because the prince is known for their prime rib but we couldn't even get that :(. That's definitely a first for all of us, to see food run out like that. Someone also mentioned the desserts were running out lol. Also, I know it's a "fancy" hotel but dayum the drinks were so expensive. Only 1 drink was covered (beer or soda/juice) so it was $16 for a glass of wine and $19 for a mixed drink o_o so no thank you.

Yelp
Wedding brunch was excellent ! The food and service definitely 5 star. Highly recommend this venue

Yelp
We stayed here for a week to attend a friend's wedding. This is a very nice hotel located in front of the harbor off of Oahu, in Honolulu. One of the best things about this hotel is that they have invested in a water system where upon check-in you get two metal water bottles. They have refill stations on the 29th floor and in the hotel lobby. The water refills are cold, and we really appreciated that the were being conscious about the environment and still providing their guests high quality, filtered water! If you bring or buy an insulated beverage thermos, you can refill it here and your water stays cold all day! There is a small refrigerator in the room. The best thing about the room is the beautiful and wide ocean view! The windows open up, so you can take in the fresh air. There sunset can be see from the ocean view rooms, and I would only accept that side of the building again. We watched fireworks from our room on Friday night that were set off on the beach. It was beautiful! The elevator is glass and you take in a beautiful view of the city, mountains and sky every time you ride in it. I loved this so much about this hotel! The room service was good. You can choose to have your bed linens changed daily or not, as well as reuse your towels more than a day if you don't mind that. There was a hotel robe and slippers left in the closet for us. You leave the robe, but the slippers are recyclable, so there's no charge if you decide to use them and take them with you. There is also a coffee pot, an ironing board, and a hair dryer in the room. If your TV remote doesn't work, call the front desk right away and let them know. We waited until the last day to call and ask for new batteries, because ours wasn't working at all on the last day, and the engineer had to bring us up a new remote. Our safe also didn't work in our room. We told them that after we left, probably should have called on the first day, but we were too busy to do so. The bathroom has a nice shower and the toilet has a bidet on it, so unusual for a US hotel to have this feature. It took us ten minutes to walk to the beach, where there was a very nice shopping plaza filled with clothing, jewelry, and souvenirs, including an ABC store. Two chairs and an umbrella will cost you $90 for the day from 9 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Otherwise you will be on the sand, so bring some towels down, or better yet, buy one from the ABC store. This hotel has a coffee bar that is always busy with some light pastries in the morning. 100 Sails is the only restaurant in the hotel. We ate there for the weekend buffet. It was good, but make a reservation so you can sit at the windows that overlook the harbor, otherwise you will be stuck in the back with no view. The spa was under construction while we were there. The exercise room is small. The pool is an infinity pool and overlooks the harbor. It is great to view sunsets from the bar by the pool or be in it while it is setting. I cant' speak of the water temperature of the pool. I did see a jacuzzi. I came here for the wedding and the beach, so I wasn't interested in swimming in a pool, I can do that at home. I would definitely go back and stay at this hotel again. Our friends got married in an outdoor room on the pool deck. It was a lovely wedding, and it looked great. The reception was held in the ballroom there. The staff did an excellent job of bringing us drinks and the food was splendid! This was one of the best destination weddings I've ever attended! I think you will be please in your choice of this hotel. It is very close to the Ala Moana shopping mall, and there are a ton of restaurants to choose from at this mall!

Yelp
The best service and staff one of the up kept major hotels in Waikiki. If you're a newcomer and you don't know where to stay here at Prince Waikiki! Beautiful and breathless panoramic views. Club house offers the hooks up if you get the club house rooms. Downstairs they have Honolulu Coffee and in walking distance there is so much shopping to do. You could walk to anywhere in range. Whether it's shopping, dining in, having fun, beach or walk in Waikiki. Start at the first hotel on the right side entering Waikiki!!! We are very pleased and the money was well spent and deserved for us! We hope you enjoy your stay too!

Yelp
Great location and views! A bit on the pricier side but a beautiful hotel! The pool area is perfect for watching the sunset & the guest rooms are nice.

Yelp
WE LOVE THE PRINCE WAIKIKI!! We have stayed here to celebrate our anniversary 3 or 4 times and we love it every time! We recently stayed again this year and as usual, it was great service! - Valet is awesome! So nice and give good recs if you need them! - Check-in is so easy and everyone is friendly! They even gave us a complimentary upgrade! - Love the rooms and the amenities that cater to Japanese norms (bidets and room slippers)!! They even sent champagne up to our room! :) There is nothing that we don't love about the Prince! Thank you!!

Yelp
It was our second time staying here. First one last year was excellent and that is how I convince my family to stay here instead of The Kahala. Now, it's understandable that they were busy so quick check in w/ a little to know talk was acceptable. We stayed for 6nights 7days at this hotel. Room was clean, and smells pleasant as soon as you walk in. I have to give it a 1 star because of our experience every morning. Since the first morning we can hear the music from the room above, at first I thought its coming from the pool so I let be. The second morning the music got worst, thats when I contacted the hotel, but unfortunately they were not sure either. 3rd, 4th and 5th morning was the same the music was so loud and the inconsiderate imbecile keeps playing the same playlist throughout our stay there. And to be honest, the staff was showing concern by responding but with little to no effort to resolve. But Im sure Im just another customer for them so it wont really matter (for them). For me, my family and friends will likely not come back we have options too, that perhaps better.

Sandra L.

Yelp
Quite terrible first impression, if I'm being totally honest. Booked a top-tier Oceanfront Premier room online for Dec 3-6 but was initially assigned a lowest-tier Oceanview room upon check-in. What gives? And only after we complained were we relocated to the correct type of room with the appropriate view. But the fact that we had to complain and demand the correct category of room that we already paid for is absurd and absolutely mind-boggling. Human error/arrogance perhaps? No apologies from the front desk whatsoever too! So very very disappointed.

Yelp
Wow. One of the BEST stays I've ever had in my life. Everything about the Prince Waikiki is top notch, from the room to the view to the restaurants inside. We were intending to book an oceanfront premier room but somehow got upgraded to the Lanai suite for no charge, and o m g it was unbelievable. The view from the corner of the 32nd floor is hard to beat! We could see the harbor below, Magic Island, the Hilton beach - and a bonus! a perfect view of the Hilton fireworks on friday night. The room was decorated very well. clean, modern, and spacious with subtle design and art to tie it together. The Lanai suite had 2 bathrooms, a pull out sofa bed, and floor to ceiling windows in both rooms. In addition to the lanai itself, which was furnished with an outdoor cushioned couch, coffee table, and two cushioned patio chairs. bathrooms were so clean, well stocked, and spacious. The master bathroom had a bathtub in addition to the shower, and both toilets had bidets! another bonus: they stocked the bathrooms with shaving kits, dental kits, a bath soak, and facial packs! Two full size closets (one in the entryway, one in the bedroom) had two robes and two pairs of slippers EACH, plus luggage rack, hair dryers, and extra pillows. The bed was so comfortable, and that down blanket REALLY kept us warm. The shades on the windows are automated with a little wall panel close to the bed, so you can lift/lower the blackout shade and/or the sun screen with the push of a button. The AC can only be lowered to 64 degrees, which sounds cold but once you're under that blanket, you'll wish it was colder lol. In addition to the fantastic room and view, the Prince also has great restaurants to try! 100 Sails and Katsumidori are some of our favorite spots to go, even if we're not staying the night. The pool was well maintained and Hinana Bar has the perfect view to watch the sun set with a drink. There was live music on Friday night too! The service was also stellar - check in was easy and very direct, and they also lent us an iphone charger cord when we realized we forgot to pack one. Just make sure to return it when you check out otherwise it's a $19 charge! The only things I'd comment on for management's sake: - the phone number listed on Honolulu Coffee Co's site (and on google and yelp) is disconnected. I had to call the operator to get routed to the front desk, to the concierge, who then physically went to the coffee counter, before I was transferred on the phone - the AC makes a strange banging noise once in a while. we thought someone broke into our room but it was just the air vents lol - include an hdmi cable for borrowing at the front desk, or add additional streaming services to the TV. we wanted to use hulu but it only had netflix available, and we didn't bring an hdmi cord to connect the laptop - the view is too beautiful. I never want to go anywhere else anymore!

Yelp
The Prince Waikiki: When "Aloha" Means "Please Lower Your Expectations" Where do I even start with the Prince Waikiki? Let's kick off with the positives. The staff here deserves a gold star. They're the superheroes of hospitality, always flashing mega-watt smiles and bending over backwards to accommodate our six-month-old. Without them, I'd be dishing out a lower rating. Now, onto the issues. This so-called "4-star" hotel might leave you wondering if the other stars went on vacation. Our suite stay, booked as part of a wedding party, showed us that either past reviewers haven't really traveled much, or they've got a very generous definition of "value." Let's talk about parking: $45 a night, or $50 for valet. At these prices, I half expected the car to be washed or at least serenaded overnight. No such luck and incredulous that there is not a discounted price for guests who stay say 3+ nights. And dining? The $35 breakfast buffet might have you wishing you'd just ventured outside for a local food truck instead as the quality is equal. The Sunday brunch? Ninety dollars to feast on mediocrity--your wallet will feel the pinch more than your taste buds. Entering the hotel for the first time doesn't give you the "wow" factor. Other hotels greet you with a welcome drink and a lei; Prince Waikiki greets you with a dated check-in area cleverly tucked away to the side but their retail store is prominent begging for money to be spent. Yes, if you need a souvenir to remember your stay, they've got you covered there. Our "Ocean View" suite was more like a "Peek-a-Boo Ocean/City View.". Because we could see some of the ocean they felt the request was covered. Upon arrival, they pitched an upgrade to a 'full ocean view' for an extra $100 per night. It felt less like a warm welcome and more like a cold upsell and rubbed us up the wrong way immediately when we already spent a few thousand here. The rooms? They're okay, but bring back memories of the '90s in a not-so-charming way. The TV on its stand dangles cables like a teenager's bedroom, and the decor screams for an update where furniture is an IKEA special or the bathrooms look like something from a different era. The three elevators seem to be in a perpetual state of rebellion, especially if you're staying higher up where you'll be waiting an age for one to arrive. Our son nearly turned a year old waiting. The pool area features one modest pool for all, a pretty but petite infinity edge pool, and a small hot tub. Oddly, the pool bar shuts down at 7 PM--because who wants a drink in paradise after sunset, right? Instead they ask you to go inside and drink at their restaurant. How wonderful in a tropical climate. Signage around the pool is as elusive as an umbrella for any sort of shade. Our baby was evicted from the infinity pool for not being old enough --turns out, no one under 16 is allowed, but good luck finding that information as its hidden on a tiny sign to the very side. Looking for nightlife? You might find more excitement in a library. The occasional live musician does pop up, giving you a brief hope that maybe--just maybe--the night could pick up but they shut down when the pool bar closes. Generally, life here winds down very early evening and the hotel is almost begging you to step out of its doors and go elsewhere to be entertained. In retrospect, after scouting other hotels along the strip, the realization hit us: We could've had better amenities, dining, and entertainment elsewhere. While the Prince Waikiki straddles closer to a "3-star" experience, the wonderful staff saves the day. If you're visiting Hawaii and aiming for a luxury stay, adjust your expectations--or better yet, your hotel choice.

Yelp
My wife and I took advantage of a kamaaina special at the Waikiki Prince for a short staycation on her birthday. We've stayed here in the past and had a great time so it seemed like a great choice. The prince Hotel did not disappoint, The room and the view were great. They allowed us an early check in so we had ample time to walk Waikiki for a while. We made reservations to 100 Sails for dinner at 6:30 but when we arrived we found out that it was strictly buffet for $85 apiece. We cancelled our reservations because we are not big eaters so we found another place to dine. The room was more than comfortable and the staff was wonderful so it was a nice weekend.

Yelp
As a frequent staycationer throughout Waikiki, I have stayed at many hotels but Prince Waikiki consistently ranks #1 on my list. I decided to do a "workcation" here to have an easy commute to work in Honolulu and to relax at the same time. Every time I say here, no matter which room I am assigned to, I am always greeted by a 5 star scenic display of the harbor, ocean, and sunset. The room is always clean, spacious, modern, and comfortable. The bathroom is that of the quality of a luxurious experience you would expect in an expensive Vegas hotel. One of my favorite features is the toilet seat with the bidet function; I'm sure many guests enjoy this feature as it is not common in any other Waikiki hotel or hotels in general in the US! Aside from the room experience, the pool deck is definitely an experience to remember with tranquil lighting in the evening. I highly recommend going to the pool around 9pm where it is not as crowded. Even in the summer, the water was heated for a very relaxing experience. Note that since the deck is on the 5th floor, it can be a bit breezy, which is why the heated water was a nice touch! Above all, one of the hardest thing for a hotel to do is customer service. It is not easy for ALL staff to be trained to deliver ALOHA and HO'OKIPA (Hawaiian hospitality) consistently. Well, this hotel scores a 10/10 for customer service. From the front desk to housekeeping to even the restaurant staff (whom I assume are technically not even hotel staff) - they were exceptionally professional and genuinely friendly. It really elevated my already perfect experience. Finally, location - I'm sure some guests may say that the hotel is a bit of a walk to most of Waikiki, but I believe that its location is better than being stuck in the center of Waikiki. You don't have to worry about the crowds and loud noise from the tourists and street entertainers. Most vacationers have rental cars so it really is not a hassle to park at this hotel and drive out. Since it is on the outskirts of Waikiki, the traffic to get in and out of the hotel really is not difficult. I also appreciate having the option to self park or valet for personal convenience. Note to non-drivers: Biki bikes are readily available for a quick bike ride into Waikiki or Ala Moana Center. Having already stayed at this hotel and experiencing both the lower floor standard rooms, different views and even the upper floor suites, this hotel has secured the NUMBER ONE SPOT on my list as my GO-TO hotel and I will be sharing this advice to my friends, colleagues, and clients. MAHALO PRINCE WAIKIKI.

Janelle A.

Yelp
Step into the realm of unparalleled hospitality and genuine aloha vibes at Prince Waikiki, where every moment feels like a cherished memory in the making. My recent conference experience at this gem nestled at the beginning of Waikiki was nothing short of extraordinary. While parking may be a bit of a challenge with its limited space, the exceptional valet service swiftly eased any worries. Huge shoutout to my valet guy who graciously rescued my forgetful self from a series of clumsy mishaps..... retrieving my phone like a true hero! Now, let's talk about the food....oh, the food! The conference buffet was a delightful symphony of flavors, featuring everything from mouthwatering bacon and eggs to scrumptious sandwiches that hit all the right notes. And if that wasn't enough, the culinary adventure continued at 100 Sails, their renowned seafood buffet, where every dish was a testament to culinary perfection. Amidst all the indulgence, the impeccable cleanliness and tidiness of the place did not go unnoticed, adding an extra layer of comfort to the overall experience. As I reluctantly bid adieu, I couldn't help but daydream about returning for a weekend retreat in this oasis of luxury. Prince Waikiki, you've won my heart...... until we meet again!

Yelp
We rented out the oceanfront cabana at this hotel and our experience was AMAZING. Terri, Maria, and Ondina consistently made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The infinity pool was incredible with a great view, and the cabana itself was comfortable and spacious - very private! But really, it was the incredible friendly staff that will have me making another reservation! Highly recommend!

Val S.

Yelp
Smooth check in. Very friendly and welcoming front desk staff. Hotel lobby is decorated for Christmas. Rooms are spacious, all with ocean front views. Highly recommend this hotel for your visit to Hawaii. Walking distance to Ala Moana shopping center and beach park.

Yelp
Nice hotel. Great room and view! This is my second time staying here, and its quickly become my go-to hotel. I prefer this hotel because its off the beaten path, but still walking distance to all your favorite spots. Custome service is also top-notch. If you're looking for a beautiful room w a view and a hotel without excessive foot traffic, this too will be your spot. Oh, and don't forget to try the miso cinnamon buns. Truly the best I've ever tasted anywhere. Mahalo

Yelp
Prince Waikiki is hands down our favorite hotel in Waikiki! The customer service is top notch. The pool area is spectacular with a nice mix of family friendly and adult only. The floor to ceiling views from the rooms are unbeatable. We love you, Prince Waikiki!

Dawn V.

Yelp
Loved everything about our stay. Rooms, pool, staff were all great! It is NOT right on the beach so just know you'll have to walk a little bit to get to it. And the hotel is on the far end of Waikiki. If it seems too far to walk to the strip, you can always take the trolley, there's a stop at the hotel next door.

Christina S.

Yelp
Booked a 5 night stay through Costco vacations (by far the best value over other sites, including Prince's site) which included transfers to and from Prince Waikiki. We got a room on the 18th floor in the Diamond Head tower. This is a great resort on the quiet part of waikiki, bordering ala moana. None of that made sense to me until I was actually there and walking around. It is about a 20-25 minute walk to the busier side of waikiki and if you choose to walk on the beach, expect it to take closer to 35-40 minutes. I was bummed that it was rainy the first two days we were there but the view was still beautiful. Customer service was good and housekeeping was inconsistent but ultimately managed. As other reviews mentioned, they were not consistent with providing water each night. There are, however, water bottle filling stations in the lobby, and 5th floor among other floors. There wsa a mini fridge in our suite and they gave us a bottle of Prosecco as we were celebrating a special occasion. The bed was confortable and the room felt spacious. There are no rooms with balconies as far as I know so your best bet for an open area is poolside on the 5th floor. There is one inconsistency that is worth mentioning to prospective hotel guests- I had done research on the "club lounge" which includes an upgraded room and access to a lounge adjacent to the pool which includes a variety of drinks on tap and small bites at breakfast and dinner. When i called to inquire before my stay, I was informed it is an extra $200 per day for a room with two guests. Upon check in we were told it was an extra $160 and then when i was walking around the grounds I overheard a hotel staff tell a guest it was an extra $120. I can't speak to whether it is worth it or not since I was told it was best used for someone who does not plan to leave the hotel much. I was also told that you must elect this option for the entire stay an not just 2 days which is what i was hoping to do.

Malia D.

Yelp
I love this hotel and POOL!!! Had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday this month at Prince Waikiki and I could not be happier. Comfortable sexy Cabanas, amazing sunset view, kind welcoming service, great food menu and you can request bottle service! Thank you Prince Waikiki and staff for helping make my bday celebration so memorable!

Yelp
Our team at HNL Studios had the pleasure of working at Prince Waikiki Hotel recently! The hotel is located in Honolulu and made it very easy for our team, being in a very accessible location. The venue offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head, which I'm sure couples and guests absolutely love. We enjoyed working at the Pi'inaio Ballroom! It's a large space providing you with plenty of options to play around with decor and lighting. We also loved working with the staff at Prince Waikiki, they were very attentive and detail oriented. We highly recommend this location for couples looking for a venue in Honolulu.

Love K.

Yelp
Hubs suggested the Prince Waikiki during our honeymoon stay in Hawaii. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were friendly. We came across a few issues once we were in our room. Our Toto toilet would not flush. After having the facilities guy check it out, it wouldn't work again. The front desk moved us to another roomier room making the accommodation a breeze. Pros: + There is a Honolulu Coffee inside the hotel. I had a latte every morning and it was so worth it! + The gift shop carries really nice quality goodies. I purchased my sweater from here which is so much nicer than other shops I checked out. + The mall is walking distance from this hotel. + Rooftop pool & infinity pool with a beautiful view. + Free parking if you're renting a car The only con I would point out is that the Waikiki shopping strip is a little far from this hotel but it is well worth the walk when you've been scarfing down shaved ice like we were.

Yelp
More of a 4.5 but I cannot give a full five stars for a couple of reasons. Location = 5/5 Not far from the airport, walking distance to everything we needed once we arrived. Amazing views. Staff = 4.5/5 Everyone we encountered was friendly and courteous at first. The one time we went to the pool the guys at the bar were not so friendly like we were making them work. The Pool = 4/5 I felt it to be a bit outdated. Never been in an infinity pool before and felt like this was a good beginners one to start with. We laid out for awhile and I just didn't feel relaxed or comfortable at all like I did when we went to Mexico. Thought the chilllax vibe would be similar here but not my experience. Room = 4/5 The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. The view was gorgeous with large windows you can open. We couldn't hear any of our neighbors which is huge for us. The refrigerator didn't stay very cold. Not a lot of dresser space for our clothes. And then there is what I called the bathroom of death. At first it looks nice. But our first night we found flaws. One light switch turns on ALL the bathroom lights so if you are not trying to illuminate the world at 3am you do it in the dark. There was a lift in the floor so if you shuffle to the toilet at 3am beware. The gigantic glass doors hurt a lot if you shuffle into one at 3am. If you are a tall woman trying to shave your legs in the shower good luck with that. The water temperature fluctuates constantly to warm to really hot back to warm. There was no ventilation. And no locks. I know it's weird to want locks on a bathroom door in a room you are sharing with your loved ones but I like that added privacy. Things beyond their control but annoying none the less and should be mentioned: The noise! Constant police sirens, people screaming on their boats but mainly that damn rooster out in the neighboring park who woke up at 4am every day. So I woke up at 4am everyday too. With bruises from my 3am shuffles. The elevators themselves were fine but the days of Covid are over as people just keep packing in while you stop at every floor. I was face to face with some woman at one point and it was awkward. Lastly 0/5 and again not sure if it has anything to do with the hotel so not counting it. The 100 Sails restaurant, and the Accents gift shop. The restaurant dinner buffet was disgusting. At $85 a plate it was huge rip off. We thought l.."you know, maybe it was dinner, we will see what breakfast is like..." it looked worse. We walked out and went somewhere else. Maybe they should try more chicken and rooster dishes. The Accents gift shop had some cool stuff in it but everyone working there was beyond rude. We went in there 3 times and were treated horribly each time. Just wanted a Diet Coke. Nope! None for you! Do you have postcards? Ugh! Over there! Can I get a...too late! Register closed get out! The coffee shop had good coffee and the staff have a tough job dealing with all the tourists every morning. Very long lines and saw a fight almost break out a couple of times because of people being stupid. But I don't know if these places run independently from the hotel or not. We would probably stay here again if going back to Oahu but we have other places in the world to visit first.

Yelp
I just felt like I need two log in my 2nd review of Prince waikiki on Yelp, specially after our weekend staycation at prince waikiki hotel. I just LOVE this place from the moment you enter from the lobby area with the valet staff helping you out thru the lobby doors and the friendly staff at the check in front desk (SHAKA's All around too all the staff) our last stay with stay FRIDAY to Monday and everything was amazing, JJ The front Desk check in staff kindly upgraded my room (so that was NICE) We stated in two different rooms Ocean front premier and ocean front two bedroom suite. We loved both rooms we stayed in. Specially the bed room suite. In this review I want to acknowledge some staff the ENTIRE STAFF at the valet service they was GOOD also to the check in front desk staff JJ and ATSUKI YALL was good as well. Keep doing YALL good work y'all do make a difference when hotel guest come to Prince waikiki. Appreciate y'all kindliness and very helpful. Also last but not least to the FILIPINO housekeeping staff over in Diamond head tower on the 20th floor she was kind and helpful as well always asked if we needed anything else she even emptied our trash a couple times in our suite room 2017/2018. I can go on and on about this hotel saying positive things but for now it's ALOHA till next staycation. Cheeeeeeee
