We spent 9 nights at this hotel and couldn’t fault it. The location is excellent on the river bank with beautiful views if you book a room at the front. There are lots of restaurants within a few minutes walk. The old town is right behind the hotel and the ferry to Ilha Tavira is just across the bridge. It’s a short walk to the bus station and slightly further (and mostly uphill) to the train station. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. In fact the hotel throughout was kept beautifully clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is coffee available in the foyer during the day.Breakfast is perfect….. everything really fresh. This is a lovely hotel and we would stay again without hesitation.

We recently spent 9 nights at this hotel and couldn’t fault it. Excellent location close to everything. The hotel is spotless and staff very friendly and helpful. We had a room (202) overlooking the river and the views were magnificent, even at night when everything was lit up. There is some outdoor seating and coffee available all day in the foyer. We would have no hesitation returning on our next visit to Tavira.

Fabulous little hotel right on the water. Spectacular river views especially at night when the bridge is lit up. Friendly bilingual staff. Super clean and quiet. Breakfast was very nice, good selection. A twenty minute boat ride to the beach. Everything is within walking distance, several restaurants and shops. An added bonus to this hotel, there is a small bar where you can buy very reasonable beer and wine, you could sit at the tables (with umbrellas) outside. Would definitely return.

This is a nice no frills hotel in a great position on the river bank. Very close to all the restaurants and cafes in Tavira and just across from the ferry stop for the Island of Tavira. |I had a triple room (104) overlooking the rear so no view but looking at the floor plan it’s the bigger family rooms that face the front. |The bed was comfortable and the air con worked well. |Mostly it was quiet and I hardly heard other occupants. |The TV in the room had BBC news but no others. |Only a couple of sockets in the room and only one in between the two beds. |Nice walk in shower. Good size bathroom. Toiletries provided were sachets of shower gel and shampoo. |Friendly staff. |I had the breakfast one day for €10. It was a selection of different breads, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, hams and cheeses and hot drinks. |A nice hotel which served a purpose for a few days in Tavira.

Great location, just across the river from town centre. Big rooms, very clean and comfortable bed. Rooms big enough to have lounge chairs and a fridge, unfortunately, they dont

A great place to stay in an ideal location, only 300m or so from the Roman Bridge and with lovely river views (book a room at the front). Comfortable rooms (we stayed in two different ones), good value, and reasonable breakfasts (included if you book direct, extra if you book through booking.com). Limited free parking next door too (first come first served) - a definite bonus so close to the centre. Highly recommended.

For a hotel in Portugal, this place is amazing. Just the amazing view from the balcony alone is worth the price. The location is no joke either, you've got stores and restaurants nearby and even the option to rent a bike here (not by the hotel though). Friendly staff, great rooms: attached bathrooms of course, and always glad to return to this place after exploring the beautiful town.

Princesa is a fairly basic hotel which is good value for a short stay. Good air conditioning for those hot days provides excellent sleep quality which is important after a long day siteseeing. Our room was a bit on the small size to get all our luggage in ( we had heaps for an extended vacation) but managed ok for the one night we were here.||Liked the central location on the river and just a short walk to many restaurants, bars and the city centre just across the bridge. On-site parking is areal bonus if you are travelling with lots of luggage
