Island Hopping Through the Caribbean on the Mega-Ship ‘Enchanted Princess’

"Princess's own port of call on Eleuthera comes clearly into focus as you zip across on a tender from the ship. There are lounge chairs set up by the shoreline and huts stocked with water-sports gear like paddleboards and snorkeling kits. I opted for a one-person kayak and spent the morning paddling through the glass-like water."

Why Destination Vow Renewals at Sea Are Becoming So Popular

"Princess Cruises, which was the first cruise line to permit captains to legally marry couples at sea in the late 1990s, offers a few options, which can be held in its fleet’s onboard wedding chapels or in its private Bahamian port at Princess Cays, and will be officiated by the captain. The deluxe package throws in a 25-minute spa treatment per person and a champagne breakfast-in-bed in addition to the vow renewal standards, like a bouquet and boutonniere, champagne, a framed portrait, and a captain-signed commemorative certificate ($509)."

This was our first time visiting Princess Cays. We were considered staying on the ship, but someone gave us their umbrella rental ticket. They normally cost about $30. Very nice sands beach. What impressed me most was that they had quite a nice buffet. All the food and beverages were. I was at most expecting perhaps a dry hamburger and burnt hot dogs, but they had a good selection that included salads and free non-alcoholic beverages.

A small section of Eleuthera Island managed by Princess Cruise Lines, this beachy private resort is stunning. Surrounded by crystal clear waters a white sandy beach and quaint pastel coloured beach huts this island paradise is a must visit if this Island is on your Princess Iteniary. There is a wide selection of beach loungers (free) and also private cabanas (pre book these on ship in advance). There is a also a good amount of bars serving alcohol and drinks (tap the medallion to pay/use your drinks package). Princess also put on a BBQ/Burger/Salad/Fruit Buffet between 11:30-13:00hrs) Please remember to bring your beach towels from the ship as these are not provided on the Island Itself.

I paid for Faster to the Fun, so I was on the first boat to the beach. North Beach has all the fun, but South Beach has everything you need in a quieter space. I chose South Beach and picked a clamshell right in front of the food. (Make sure to pre-rent your clamshell from Carnival.) The swimming lagoon is small, shallow, and rocky. But the water is crystal clear, and it's so beautiful! I stayed until noon, then enjoyed no line back to the ship.

Princess Cays is unreal. Crystal-clear water, white sand, and postcard views everywhere you look. The whole place has a great energy while still feeling relaxed, with loads of space to spread out, grab food, and enjoy the beach without it feeling overcrowded. It honestly feels like a proper tropical escape rather than just a quick cruise stop. What really makes it great is how easy and laid back the day feels. No pressure to rush around, just swim, chill, eat, repeat. Perfect place to switch off, enjoy the scenery, and make the most of a beach day. Easily one of the highlights of the cruise and definitely somewhere I’d want to visit again.

This was my first vacation I booked with Carnival. Princess Cays was everything I dreamed of. I even had a fortunate encounter with a sting ray! No one was hurt. There are plenty of shops and there was food there--not very vegetarian friendly, but they do have limited options.

Get a locker for your shoes and bag. You'll be glad you did. One smoking section near beach. Check out George's outside the back gate. Great drinks and a chill atmosphere. (It's a tiny place)

Crystal clear water, good snorkeling area seeing colorful fishes and stingrays. Beautiful landscape. Princess cruise provided meal, beach chairs and clean restrooms.

This highly manicured beach area looks lush and beautiful. Unfortunately, all their trash is piled up a short distance away, less than 50 yards to the water. I will not be supporting this company or any of is affiliates with any of my business in the future.
