Great place to stay on your vacation 👌. Very much cheaper to what they offer compared to other hotels with exaggerating prices with little or same facilties. The hygiene is topnotch. AC available, 5 minutes walk from the harbour, and the staff, they are really great at their job. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar whether solo, with family or with a group.

A friendly hotel with reliable staff who take care of their clients in every way. Not a lucury place, but it's clean and functional. Well placed in a reasonably quiet area.|We have been here before, we will come again. That just about says it all doesn't it?

We have had an amazing stay here at this hotel. The place is so nice, the breakfast is tasty, and the staff is lovely people. We really enjoyed the rooftop and, the cosy and relaxing atmosphere here. It was very nice to stay here for some days: close to the city, the WiFi is good and the employees took really good care of us. This is a trip that we will never forget. Thank you so much!.

Not the best area of town but the place itself is just FANTASTIC!! The receptionist, the lovely Gertrude, was the sweetest person we've met on the island and very helpful with finding nice spots to drink, eat and see the sunset and even to get us a rental car for a very good rate. The room was spotless and charming with nice water pressure and very quiet. Breakfast was up in a nice sunny terrace and the food was fantastic. Truly a great beginning of our trip for a price you simply can't beat. I want that ginger and lime juice recipe!! 😄😄😄

Room was basic but comfortable and everything we needed as a base to explore Stone Town. Good mosquito net too. Great views from the rooftop eating and relaxing area and the breakfast was excellent. ||||The staff went out of their way to help my wife who was a little ill and made her stomach-friendly drinks. They also helped organise a trip to Prison Island.||||It is quite hidden away and we were a bit unsure we were in the right place when we first arrived late at night! But it is actually only a few minutes to reach the buzzing sea front.

The location is on the north end of the sea wall. All the action is on the south end. So you will have to walk a bit to get to the action. The walk is safe. Speaking af safes. The rooms do not have them as advertised and the desk will not hold valuables. That said its a very safe place. The staff are lovely. Its a good bang for the buck. Great breakfast. Neat little rooms. most important. The beds are firm and comfortable with a good choice of pillows.

Princess Salme Inn is located conveniently near the ferry and is a short and pleasant walk to the Forodhani Night Market, Museum, and all the shops and restaurants of Stone Town. The architecture and furniture are filled with wonderful details from Zanzibari history and culture, and we appreciated the air conditioning after hot days exploring. The charming rooftop nook was a great place to have tea and breakfast in the morning and beer and softdrinks in the evening while catching a breeze. The receptionist, Juma, was very helpful and assisted us with any questions we had and even helped us bring our bags to the ferry when we were leaving. We felt very welcome. It was a fantastic home base for exploring stone town and the price was incredibly reasonable. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Stone Town!

I recently spent just over two weeks at the Princess Salme Inn after last visiting there for three weeks in 2017. It was just like coming home. The staff are wonderfully warm and welcoming - they have become our friends, actually - and nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfasts are still excellent, and the rooms immaculately clean. A TV has been added to the rooftop terrace since my last visit - whether you watch it is up to you. Mostly the ever-changing view of the port from the roof is entertainment enough. This is a wonderful place to stay, and I can't wait to visit again.
