"A Royal Collection Prince Eugen’s Waldemarsudde is one of the city’s most revered fine art museums. The son of King Oscar II and Queen Sophia, Prince Eugen himself was one of Sweden’s leading landscape painters and an avid collector of works by Anders Zorn, Per Ekström, Hugo Birger, Carl Milles, Carl Eldh, and Auguste Rodin, to name a few. In 1947 when he died, Prince Eugen left Waldemarsudde and his art collection to the Swedish state, and the City of Stockholm now runs Waldemarsudde as a prime museum."

My friend recommended this place and she was right! I walked from Skansen for 15min to reach there but it's worth the walk. Prince Eugen's house turned into a gallery. The interior decoration was great. In the separate building, showed the temporary gallery, it was Nordic picture book illustrations at that time. I enjoyed that part, too.

I absolutely loved my visit to Waldemarsudde in Stockholm. This museum is a true gem for anyone interested in Swedish art. The collection features a wide range of beautiful works by Swedish artists, both classic and modern. What truly took my breath away was the floral design. The flowers throughout the museum and gardens are simply stunning. It feels like walking through a living painting. The entire atmosphere is peaceful, inspiring, and filled with beauty at every turn. A super experience from start to finish. I highly recommend it.

One of the finest minor museums in Stockholm. The whole atmosphere of Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde makes visitors feel welcome. All the beautifully furnished rooms of the museum are decorated with elegant flower bouqets. You feel the unseen presents of the host everywhere

Beautiful riverside palace. You can just walk around and explore the grounds without even buying a ticket. Great views of the Lake and the city.

Lovely little museum which features several exhibitions across two adjacent buildings, one of which is the main villa, beautifully decorated. It's nice to go here on a thursday evening when it's open until 8PM and there's not many visitors around.

I really liked the pictures and paintings of the various artists, but I cannot forget things I didn't liked, it's the lady on the top floor watching the rooms full of beautiful chairs and tables of the house, she was really rude towards my classmates and also against my teacher, screaming to her for a glass of water I understand that the place require attention but this is something who scares people away.

A large gallery with an impressive collection of paintings from some of the more notable and influencial scandanavian artists. The venue operates on multiple levels across different buildings connected by an underground corridor, the old house and a more modern space. The place is air conditioned which is a of welcome relief in the middle of July. A great place to spend some time, will definitely call in again.

Yelp
I won't let you wait for it. This is a favorite museum of mine. Marvelously situated by the water on the island of Djurgården, central Stockholm. This time presenting the Swedish painter Sigrid Hjerte'n. An intelligent explosion in color and form covering her career and life. Every single work has an influence on me, as I move from one piece to another. Finally ending my visit with the part of the building, the old grand villa of the prince, where we find a few of the most valuable pieces of art in the history of Swedish painting. Then leaving this great museum. A short walk, entering the tram back home.

Yelp
The guide book had suggested that there were some ornamental gardens and sculptures to be found on the pathway back towards the city from Biskopsvagen, but I was not prepared for quite how pretty a spot this turned out to be. The walks and trails are on several levels, so you need to keep an eye out to make sure which way you're going. When or if you see a "no cycling" sign, that means there'll be a dead end coming up, so keep that in mind. I wasn't inclined to visit the house itself, particularly as I was on a rental bike with no lock, but the outside areas presented more than enough for the eye to wallow in. There are some splendid sculptures in the gardens, as well as some amazing views across to Sodermalm and the channel as ocean liners came and went. It would have been very easy to spend at least an hour or more exploring this section of Djurgarden, but 30-45 minutes here is time very well spent too. A feast for the senses.
