Prinsentuin

A hidden gem in Groningen, open free to public. Best to visit in the summer to enjoy the flower, rose blooms and green fence and berceaus. The sundial gate dates back to 1731. Around July there is Dichters in de Prinsentuin which is an annual poetry festival in the garden

I enjoyed so much coming to this garden! It’s free, peaceful, a must see if you visit Groningen 💯 It has many seats around, perfect to read a good book. I imagine during summer it’s even more magical!

A place that deserves its name. Maybe the best touristic attraction in Groningen.

If you like gardens, this is beautiful one to visit in the city center. Best time would be spring as it would be more pleasant and green Be aware it is a small garden, you would need max of 30 min to explore it

A beautiful landscape enclosed garden. It was nice. Total time here was just a few minutes though, as the garden is not too large. If you are short on time, you can feel ok about not making the visit (though it is close to other landmark sites). A nice respite, which I guess is its intent.
