The 11 Most Underrated and Beautiful Islands in Italy

"Often overlooked in favor of Capri and Ischia, Procida charmed me with lemon groves, pastel-hued fishing villages, and a laid-back pace; Marina Grande bustled with shops and restaurants while Corricella's candy-colored houses offered picture-postcard moments." - Nicky Swallow Nicky Swallow Nicky Swallow is a freelance travel writer who has lived in Florence, Italy for the past three decades. 17 Most Beautiful Islands in Italy | Condé Nast Traveler

"I found Procida to be a peaceful, technicolor island that feels authentically lived-in, with Marina Corricella’s bobbing boats and seaside cafés, cinematic spots like Spiaggia del Postino, volcanic-dark sands at Cala di Chiaiolella, and crystalline waters at Spiaggia di Ciraccio." - Sarah James, Lucrezia Worthington

The 15 Most Beautiful Italian Islands

"A low-key, pastel-hued island that feels like a well-kept secret outside of July and August, when crowds swell; visitors come for cute, dispersed beaches, pastel-colored towns, and historic sights such as the medieval Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo and the Piazza dei Martiri, the scene of infamous 18th-century hangings and unrest. Accommodation tends toward boutique hotels and alberghi, nightlife is more an evening-stroll-with-a-gelato than a late-club scene, and the overall vibe rewards travelers seeking calm authenticity." - Elizabeth Heath Elizabeth Heath Elizabeth Heath is a writer and editor living on a hill in Umbria, from where she writes about travel in Italy, the rest of Europe, and farther afield. Yelp
Arriving at Pròcida island, you'll stampede off the ferry onto the marina. Visitors bring their luggage along if they'll be staying on the island a few days. Watch your toes. The immediate restrooms are availabe at the restaurants on the marina front. It's a ridiculous wait, so try to be patient. On a hot September afternoon, a minute wait can feel like an hour. Get past the tourist crowd right away if you can. We beelined for a caffeine fix before starting our hike to find a beach. Once adjusted, keep your eyes peeled for some nice view points.

Yelp
Procida!!! Best of the best places are in Italy. Biased but it's true. All our summers are spent in south of Italy and it's by the far prettiest places one can see. Procida is no secret. Or it is depends on who you ask. It's a popular vacation spot for Italians there. Postcard beauty from any and everywhere! It's one of the islands you can go from Napoli. Smaller than other counterparts. Hilly. Not Easy to walk around but you can get here by boat! Take a boat to go to a restaurant. Some places will send you a boat to pick you up. It's quite charming, scenic, stunning and peaceful. Meat is the most expensive thing on the island since it's a fishing village/ town/ island. A small steak will run you about €80 but most fresh catches are €15-€20 euros. Shellfish, Mediterranean fish! All kinds of fish! Even octopus salad here tastes better. Hot humid summer, very slow town, emerald hues everywhere! And that one clock tower! Amazing summer days are spent here! Come for a day or a week. And just enjoy. It's amazing. Oh and they filmed parts of Talented Mr Ripley here. They have signs on filming spots! Once you get here, you can identify all the scene in the movie! Hey, Jude law!
