Come visit this coffee shop!! This is such a nice, well-run, high-quality coffee shop and breakfast spot that even has reasonable prices. It has beautiful live-edge tables, great atmosphere, kind and friendly staff, and Christian values. Yes you can eat-in or takeaway coffee, breakfast, and lunch. This is a great option if you’re in the area and need to do some remote working, bring your laptop for great coffee, a place to sit and work, with free wifi. We highly recommend!

What a great little shop! The guy serving the coffee is super nice, knowledgeable, and makes really tasty drinks. The lady cooking the breakfast does a great job and everything I have tried has been awesome. There is plenty of room to come in and hang out and/or come in and get some work done. Quickly became my favorite coffee shop while in town for work. Definitely try it out if you are in town.

Took a little while to get the latte but they're busy. Definitely the best quality cup in town. They do latte art which shows their professionals!

I have 50/50 feelings about this place.. We chose this coffee spot over the others for the advertised biscuits and gravy on Saturday and when we arrived they were sold out at 11:45am.. I ordered a Carmel latte extra hot 12oz, and received a 16oz regular hot to lukewarm. The 2nd order was a peppermint late 16oz and we received an extra hot 12oz that tasted horrible. It was shocking because of how good mine was, and then tasting the peppermint was like adding licorice alcohol to it is how I can best explain the taste. They clearly mixed up our drinks after the order was placed. Can’t say if it was their POS system or human error .As an avid coffee shop consumer this one is a hit or miss.. next time I’m in Craig I’ll try another coffee place and perhaps give this one a second chance. We ordered a lemon poppy seed and it was okay. Nothing special. The atmosphere was nice. The music was really loud in my opinion. Nice customer service, questionable baristas.

Best Quiche Ever! I've had the ham and veggie quiche before and it was loaded with chunks of ham. Then today I had the mushroom and spinach quiche and it was just as delicious! Their quiche is so creamy and the crust is perfect. I like everything I've had here, and I've tried it all from the chicken sandwich at lunch to the Sunny Day smoothie for a snack. I love this family owned and operated coffee shop. Good food and drinks, friendly service, clean establishment. (Updated two months later with a better picture of the quiche. This slice was ham and bacon and it was awesome!)

Dine in on tables, bar, lounge area or take your order to go. I had a B-L-T Panini to eat and a Lavender Latte to sip on. It was savory and sweet, both a taste I will have again. Had an amazing gluten free Reuben for lunch here while working! Great family owned and run business with delicious food and drinks.

We are so happy we stopped here instead of in Steamboat! The food and coffee are amazing, the servers are super friendly and knowledgeable, and it has a great vibe. Skip the tourist town and stop here!

A must stop if you are ever near Craig, CO! The food, coffee, ambiance and service are all fabulous. My hubby and I were able to "build your own" breakfast sandwiches that met all are dietary preferences (keto bread, sauces on the side, non diary, etc) while the kiddos enjoyed fresh baked goods and NRG bites and delicious bacon. We all enjoyed coffees and matchas and our littlest enjoyed the building blocks too!!

Very nice place to check out if you're in need or a healthy pick me up or a pastry they will get you taken care of. I was recommend the Sunnyday by the lady taking my order I didn't get her name but she was sweet helpful. I did the get second to last strawberry pop tart that are said to be house made. Tasted delicious and made a huge mess like a good pastry puff should do I made sure to eat the crumbs in the bag.

Loved the vibe of this place. The inside is open with lots of seating. They had board games. Staff was friendly. Yay milk alternatives! Oat milk, almond milk. The food looked yummy, but we didn't partake. We got the the iced vanilla latte and iced chai. The latter espresso was smooth. A little sweet l, but I would rather have sweet than bitter. The chai was pretty tasty. Hubby prefers a very spicy chai, so that was his feedback. Only one table outside, no shade. Overall we would be back when we drive back through town again.

I usually never write reviews but couldn't pass the opportunity to do so for this cute little shop. You could call me a scone snob. I am from Raleigh NC and here for a few days. I bake scones all the time back home. Have multiple scone recipes and have had scones everywhere I travel including England. I want to say that the orange and cranberry scone was probably the best I've ever tasted.

We were passing through and decided to make a stop that will now be our go-to spot whenever we drive through CO. Being from NY, we are always on the lookout for quality coffee and this is the place. Homemade pop tarts, cookies and other baked goods are a must. The staff was wonderful and owner, Adam, took care of each order with detail. Great quick stop for Quality coffee, treats and a positive experience!

Beautiful little coffee shop with fabulous food and drinks. The barista was very help and made sure our drinks and food were perfect in every way! We cannot wait to visit again and try more delicious treats.

We were visiting for the day and looking for comfy coffee shop for a morning latte. This place is very comfortable and has a good "feel." We felt like we could have hung out all day to relax, read and play cards. We had a latte, smoothie and poppy seed muffin. All were very good! Nice to have a latte and muffin that aren't just basic ...all were very tasty and seemed to be high quality. Highly recommend. Update: We ended up staying in Craig three days and I went to this coffee shop each morning. Very refreshing to see people up early working, who truly care about the food and service they provide and to truly feel welcomed. This is by far one of the coolest and best coffee shops I have been to in all my travels.

I was in town for business about 3 weeks ago and decided to stop by this amazing place. I originally stopped by and ordered some pastry's for a client of mine as well as a quad latte. The guy who was making my drink was absolutely amazing. I went back the very next day and got myself the same drink and it was made to perfection. The thing that really stood out to me is the man who was making the drinks was so friendly and when he talked to the customers you could tell he cared. I travel a lot for work and try to hit up local coffee shops everywhere I go. This coffee shop is probably on my top 5 of all time! Everyone was friendly, the shop was amazing. The man running it also told me god bless which where I come from means a whole lot! I don't know when Ill be back in town but when I do I will be stopping here. Keep up the amazing work and GOD BLESS!

Good, coffee, service, ambiance - 5 stars to all of it. I've learned not to expect much from the food at cafes, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the avocado toast here was. The people are very pleasant. They change out the coffee bean daily so it's a surprise. Overall, a great breakfast spot!!

Such a cute little cafe right on the main drag of historic downtown Craig. If you're looking for a morning drink and pastry that is a far step above the typical morning gas station stop, look no further than Prodigal Son's. Warm, welcoming staff always greet you with a smile. I highly recommended the dirty chai latte.

Finally! A great coffee shop in Craig! My parents live in Craig and when we come to visit I have always wished there was a cute coffee shop! When prodigal opened we were super excited. They have thoughtfully sourced coffee and make their own pastries. Plenty of nice seating with great decor- reclaimed wood and other features. Free WiFi as well. I highly recommend! Wish I lived closer myself so I could be a regular here!

The staff here is a 10. They are so friendly and cool. The drinks we got were not as cool as them :( The cortado was ok. The chai latte was very sweet. I'd come back to try different drinks just for the staff and the cool ambiance though.

Excellent house coffee, yummy food and desserts, and a staff that greets you with a true honest smile. This is the kind of place you can take a friend, family member or group of any kind. So comfortable and relaxing. I highly recommend The Prodigal Son.

Best coffee bar in the region. Must visit. Wasn't staying in town long but needed a morning wakeup to get the day officially started. Arrived at 7am to a bright happy crew. The industrial iron pipe aesthetic caught my eye immediately. The barista was clarifying an order as we approached the counter. I love seeing employees interact with their regulars. Gives you an idea of how they value these relationships. The cashier answered all of my questions and welcomed my son and I to town. We sat at a table to wait, just listening to the conversations happening around us. The barista & the kitchen crew delivered our lattes and breakfast orders directly to our table. Delicious. During our visit we learned that the shop just opened 3 weeks ago. In the future they plan to craft their own housemade syrups. Given they're impressive start and plans to come, I have no doubt Prodigal Son's will flourish.

Tried this place for the first time with my daughter today. The atmosphere was perfect for a coffee shop and the service was 5 stars!! I had the Red Velvet Frappe and my daughter had a berry smoothie. 5 stars all the way around. We will be back and you should try them too!!!!

Delicious gluten free muffin and regular kolache, wish we had tried the pop tart! Coffee and chai also awesome, so glad we didn't stop at McDonald's!

If you like coffee as much as I do, you should try the Prodigal son coffee shop in Craig it's great see nice people and a Christian environment when my card got declined they offered to give it to me for free it's really good coffee I recommend the white chocolate mocha espresso it's really good 10/10 would recommend!!

Very good blackberry scone and cinnamon roll . Also had a great Breve white mocha and regular coffee. Love how they decorated the inside..pipes and live edge tables...electric fireplace which I'm sure is awesome in the winter. Great service too!

Just driving through town and was pleasantly surprised with the very early hours (5:30 am), the warm welcome and owner's helpful explanations of the coffee offerings, the pastries and even the nice decor. The carrot cake and quiche were not tried, but they looked amazing! Big regret that I missed out on these.

Prodigal Son's is the best of the best in Craig, providing outstanding service and fantastic coffee. The service by far and the hospitality had given me when I was in a bind to find WiFi for my meeting was genuinely astounding. Thank you, Prodigal Son's staff, for providing the best hospitality.

What a find! I'm from Los Angeles but I'm in Craig visiting family and I'm so happy this is the cafe they recommended. Their espresso is to die for! Had wonderful lattes (I recommend the hazelnut!) and one of the best iced dirty chais I've ever had. You have to get something from the bakery, their blondies are to die for. Not to mention the staff is absolutely wonderful. They remembered not only my name, but how I liked my order! In a world full of Starbucks, I'm glad small coffee shops like this still exist and can thrive. Will be returning anytime I'm back in town!!

We were in town to visit our kids and stopped in on Christmas Eve day. We've been waiting for this coffee place to open and we were excited to try it out. The staff was welcoming and informative about the coffee offerings. We tried both of their drip coffees, both were great, as well as a scone. The desserts and others offering looked amazing as well. The shops decor is awesome! Definitely worth a stop when you're in town or just driving through.
