I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The experience was comfortable from the very beginning, and the service was excellent with genuine attention to detail. The photos are exactly like the real place, if not even better. Everything felt well thought out, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home rather than just staying at a hotel. A wonderful experience and definitely worth repeating.

Very nice and quaint hotel which is just 5 mins walk away from Colosseum and 15 mins walk away from Basilica of San Giovanni. The street we are on are also full of restaurants and cafes for you to grab a quick bite and be on your way. The room is nice and clean, although the only critique I have is the plug points in the room are not the same size as most of the equipment sockets, so the only plug point that is usable is the toilet one. This makes it weird for us when we want to boil water or make coffee using their coffee machine as we had to do it in the toilet. Other than that, I am very satisfied with this hotel and the service provided by the housekeepers and receptionists. They are very warm and welcoming, while also being very helpful with our needs.

I stayed at Hotel Profumo for three days, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location is definitely the highlight — it’s within walking distance of the Colosseum, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The breakfast was good, offering a nice selection to start the day. The staff were polite and helpful, providing great recommendations for places to eat and visit. The room was small but comfortable. However, it could be a bit noisy at times, and the air conditioner was quite loud. There’s no elevator, but the staff kindly helped us with our luggage. All in all, Hotel Profumo offers good value for money, especially considering its excellent location and friendly service.

Absolutely amazing stay with Profumo. Always greeted us in passing and gave us lovely recommendations with a physical list so we could remember. Fausto and other staff replied fast always on WhatsApp when our plans changed and was so helpful! I took their shuttle service from the airport and I recommend it to others, it was stress free! They also called us a taxi to Termini and was about 18€ with our big bags.

Tourist trap! We paid for the most expensive room with a jacuzzi for a romantic vacation. We arrived on the property, checked in with no problem, but later that night when we tried to use the jacuzzi it was broken! We asked the front desk how to operate the system because no one informed us it was broken prior to our stay or during check in. We were told it had been broken for a while and nothing could be done to fix it and there would be no type of resolution. On top of that, the second night we stayed the jacuzzi started leaking water through the wall into our room and our luggage was nearly ruined. We had to use our towels and sheets to try to clean up the mess. We were told by the front desk that the manager would come to our room to speak about the issues but they never came and once again no type of resolution was offered. Another issue is that cleaning staff entered our room when we were not present even when the do not disturb signed was clearly posted outside the our door. Thank God our valuables were not stolen but I still felt violated as our suitcases and toiletries were rearranged. Breakfast was not included in our reservation even though we booked the most expensive room but it was okay because many cafes were nearby. The location is convenient within steps of the Colleseo and near the bus stop. The room did not have windows but was very modern and equipped with air conditioning. In my opinion, the trouble was not worth the reservation so book with caution.

Profumo Maison d'Hotes is one of many reasons that make Rome is one of my most memorable experiences in traveling. I wish I had more days to stay to experience the city, the food, and best of all, the beautiful people there. The moment we arrived at the hotel, we were so welcomed with at least, two professional and helpful staff. All of our suitcases and bags were immediately delivered to our room and we were greeted with warm and friendly welcoming attention.( I can't recall the names of those two gentlemen, I was too exhausted from the 10 days cruise). From them, we received great information about the local food, ice-cream, and shopping that we could use for the next couple days we was there. Fausto was at the desk on the next early morning when we left and was still there until the very late evening when we got back. He is absolutely a gem. He arranged taxi for our shopping trips, booked early airport transportation, showed us the city map with places and local tips. Thanks to him, we beat the crowd, had the best food, and saved so much time from stayin in lines in the scorching heat to get into the museum that day. This place makes my stay so special. I feel like home, because the interior layout, its small size, boutique artistic style, and the hospitality of the staff. The room itself is clean and the entire hotel is fragranting. The bed is comfortable and the linen is new. I am in love with Rome, with its rich history, beautiful art, museums, foods, and the local kind, friendly, and passionate people; and of course, with this place where I will definitely come back when i visit Rome again. Ciao,

The location of the hotel is fantastic. You walk out the front door and your literally outside the colosseum. The surrounding area has got lovely little restaurants, cafes and an independent wine bar / shop which does unreal sandwiches,…||The hotel itself looks nice but our room wasn’t great to be honest. When we booked it showed a room filled with light and windows, our room was no. 19 on the bottom floor. No windows, very dark, very noisy due to the thin room door (I was woken up on Sunday morning at 6:20am by the pinging of the receptions phone where someone was texting, also the blinds don’t really darken the room properly). The ceiling outside our room was completely open, wires and pipes exposed, water dripping from the ceiling and running into our room. A builder told us they would continue works on Monday (we stayed Friday to Sunday) which means we’ve had a „building side“ outside our room for the entire time. €300 per night for that is a bit much. Why not give us a different room??? The room itself was clean, the bathroom new, but the whole experience was disappointing to be honest. I’ve booked it as a surprise for our 11th wedding anniversary and had something else in mind. Especially since all the rooms that are on the website look different to the one we’ve had.
