Progress LIFE STYLE COFFEE（本店）

Total hidden gem. Locals were all there for dessert, but we were too full and just had coffee, which was solid. Easy English communication. The place is tiny, so we sat at a counter facing the wall, but it was fine. Next time I’m 100% trying the desserts 👍🏻

Stopped by Progress in Hiroshima for a Sunday coffee break and loved it. The environment is chic yet chill, with friendly staff who make you feel relaxed right away. The latte was incredibly smooth, and the coffee butter cake, while simple in appearance, was fluffy and lightly sweetened—perfect alongside the coffee. A wonderful spot to unwind for the afternoon.

Progress is a centrally located coffee shops that serves good coffee including single origin, hand pour options. The interior deco is quaint, mostly in earth tones. I liked my drip coffee served in an Origami mug.

Tried their flat white — and it was solid. They used two shots by default, which tells me they know how to make a proper flat white. The flavor was on the fruity side, sweeter than usual with a slight tang. Beans were Nicaraguan, directly sourced from the producer — love seeing that kind of transparency and quality.

Small and nice coffee shop. I needed some nice coffee after a long trip.

The latte looked nice but tasted a little burnt. The service was a little weird as well. Although there were many empty seats at the bottom floor and an entire empty room (as shown in the picture) they initially insisted I sit on the countertop on the second floor, and didn't want to let me sit on a chair at a table. I had to insist that I'd move if more customers came.

The staff is super friendly. The food is really good I recommend the toast fondue and the French toasts they were amazing. We took vanilla iced coffee which was delicious as well. Would recommend! 💯

We loved this little cafe, it’s a very beautiful cafe in the heart of the city and in a Hon-Dori area. Went there for a couple of coffees and an espresso, all of it was excellent. The staff were very nice and helpful.
