Promenade Restaurant in Szentendre is a true gem offering delicious food and a romantic atmosphere. The beautiful garden overlooking the Danube is perfect for summer, and the cozy interior with a fireplace adds charm in winter. We enjoyed flavorful goose dishes and a delightful dessert. Portions are generous, and the service is excellent. Ideal for a date or family gathering. Highly recommended!

Called in for a quick lunch before going back to Budapest. Didn't check reviews and glad we didn't. This place is worth more than 3.8 stars. Yes it was quiet and language barrier difficult (our fault not theirs) But what a delightful location. Overlooking the Danube and set on shaded stepped patios... perfect. Amazing value too. Lovely freshly home cooked meals. I had the perch and it was amazing. Partner had a simple pasta and tomato basil sauce. Dessert was yummy too... A chocolate souffle with ice cream and Chantilly cream. All washed down with a couple of draught beers for me and rose wine for my wife. Edith, the owner was lovely and showed us around the building and explained it's history and her own life in and around the area. She was very friendly and helpful too. Great food, reasonable prices and fantastic location. A little gem of a find!

We had a very nice time here, the owner is friendly and welcoming. As many reviews highlighted, the food is nothing special. Not bad, but not superb either. The lamb soup was nice and the surroundings, the atmosphere sells the place. I wish all the best for the owner, if decide to eat here, I think you won't regret it, but I'm sure you can find better food somewhere around. All in all recommended.

Very warm, cosy place. Food is delicious, staff if very kind. This place is full of peace. We’re here when it was cold outside. March. Rainy day. But place is very nice.

We found the environment is pretty nice, we loved the athmosphere. Why the 3 stars? The food is average here, nothing special, not bad and not good. For this value it is expensive. The service also only average, must wait wait wait. What we hate is to fight all the time during lunch against the wasps! It was very annoying! At the end we dindt ask for sweets or coffee, we just wanted to leave. I dont know how other restaurants do with the wasp but this was the first place that they attack us in large groups.

We waited 40 minutes for our food but only got the lemonades. When we went to pay for the lemonades only so we could leave as we didn’t want to wait any more, we were asked why we didn’t remind the waitress (we did, and it shouldn’t be us doing that anyway). Lovely spot but ridiculous wait time.

Stopped in for a cocktail by the Danube. Beautiful courtyard. Lovely music. Excellent service. A wonderful experience.
