Prosciutteria Sant Miquel

We visited Prosciutteria Sant Miquel in May 2025 and were absolutely delighted. From the moment we arrived, we didn't feel like customers but like welcomed guests. The owner greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm, making us feel right at home. His passion for food and hospitality was evident in every detail. The restaurant is run by a lovely couple who put their heart and soul into the place. The products served come from local farms, ensuring freshness and authentic flavors. Each dish was a testament to the rich culinary traditions of the region. Despite the wait for a table, it was entirely worth it. The cozy ambiance, set against the backdrop of Alghero's old town, added to the charm of the evening. We are truly grateful for the wonderful hospitality and the memorable dinner experience. Me and my wife have been traveling through Sardinia for a month. And you can always find a review that says ‘this is the best XXX we had in Sardinia’. So trust me when I say this; this is the best cheese board we had in are whole trip!! Service is great! Atmosphere is great! Drinks great! Want more could you want more then, seating outside, listening to low tasteful music, while eating a board of cheese, having a drink and watch the world go by! Sign me up!! I would post a pic of the board we got but we absolutely destroyed it when it arrived! 10 out of 10

What a wonderful experience! This is a true hidden treasure. We enjoyed an incredible selection of local wines, paired with a beautiful board of cheeses and meats — everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly chosen with care. The owner was amazing; he personally introduced each product that it made everything taste even better. Soft chillout music played in the background, creating a relaxed and cozy atmosphere that made us want to stay for hours. The prices might be a bit on the higher side, but the unforgettable atmosphere and the quality of both food and service more than make up for it. A must-visit for anyone who loves good wine, authentic food, and genuine hospitality.

Average food and abysmal service. Can safely say our worst eating out experience in Alghero. A score of 3 is being very very generous.

Beautiful, fresh food with ambiance. The waiters are incredibly lovely, and welcome you in with a smile. The food is exceptional - perfect for an afternoon charcuterie platter paired with wine.

This place is a little gem. It’s also one of the few places open for good food and wine late in the evening. The staff were lovely and so accommodating - getting space for 8 of us at 11pm! The Salami and cheese board was just what we needed. Perfect for those landing in on the late Ryanair flight from Dublin!

A nonchalant and elegant place, a bit hidden behind a big garden with pizza. Don’t sleep on it if you like wine and a good charcuterie. The selection and the ingredients were amazing, top quality and worth the price. We really enjoyed everything, and also the baked traditional pasta was a nice finish to the meal. And there was jazz playing, which is quite rare in such a tourist place. We enjoyed it!

Popped in for a quick wine but ended up staying 3h tasting different wines and the excellent, more than generous cheeseboard. Yani is such a jovial, kind host that you simply don't want to leave!! He even treated us to a free chupito at the end. Lots of lively banter and spot on recommendations. A unique place in Alghero!!
