We stayed in a Knoll cabin this past weekend with our 9 year old and dog. It was wonderful!! We enjoyed it so much we went ahead and booked a weekend in the summer to come back. The cabin looked exactly as pictured and we appreciated the extra touches of heated floors, dimming lights, mood lighting under the bed, black out curtains etc. The pull out window seat bed for our daughter felt king size and was comfortable. They also put out a dog bed, dog bowls and treat which was very nice upon arrival. The bar area had a sink, mini fridge (with freezer), and coffee/tea essentials. The grounds are so lovely and curated - multiple fire pits, paths to explore, multiple seating options along the lake, swings and hammocks. Our daughter had endless fun on the swings around the property. The General Store had enough treats, beverages, snacks to satisfy mostly everyone it seemed. My husband really enjoyed the sauna and cold plunge offering. Morning breakfast was delicious! The dinner meal was less stand-out to us, but we loved the vibe of the Cliff House overall. Guests were a mix of couples, girl groups or small families. Very excited to experience it in the summer with the pool and lake activities. All staff were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. Great Barrington is a 7-8 min drive with really cute shops, restaurants etc. We ate at GB Eats (great lunch/brunch), Prairie Whale (delicious dinner). There is a fantastic cheese monger in an old bank (Rubiner's), two great french patisserie's, 2 really good toy stores and a epic candy store. Plus a few really nice adult clothing, home stores. So everyone was happy in our family shopping around town.
