Prospect Berkshires

Prospect Berkshire Resort was the perfect stay for our family ski trip. Its location so close to Catamount made everything incredibly convenient, just a short drive after a full day on the slopes. The lodges are very cozy and comfortable, exactly what you want after a long, cold day of skiing. It felt warm, relaxing, and thoughtfully designed for unwinding. The real star, though, is the on-site restaurant, The Cliff House. The cocktails were unique and beautifully crafted, and the dining menu was absolutely superb. Every dish felt elevated and memorable. Overall, what a wonderful experience! Comfortable stay, conveniently located, and exceptional dining. We would absolutely return durin summer.

We came for a winter weekend getaway and it was exactly what we were looking for. The property is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with cabins, a restaurant, pool, saunas, and plenty of space to relax. A hot tub would have been a great addition, but otherwise the amenities are excellent. While some summer activities like kayaking and tennis were unavailable, they look great and give us a reason to return in warmer months. The biggest standout was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. The front desk texting system was especially convenient and made the stay much easier. I wish more places offered this. We stayed in a lake view cabin, which was beautiful. Parking is centralized and you walk to cabins and amenities, which adds to the peaceful, disconnected feel. No cars and limited cell service made it very relaxing. For those who need it, ADA cabins and golf cart shuttles are available, which were very helpful for luggage and rain. The on-site restaurant is excellent with unique, high-quality food, though it is on the expensive side. Reservations are likely necessary during busy seasons. A small dining discount for guests would be a nice touch and go a long way.

We had a great stay. The setting was lovely. I enjoyed the sauna. The food and service at The Cliffs Restaurant was great. The reservations seem to fill up quickly so it's a good idea to book those ahead of time. I would only warn that if you have dog allergies do not book the Knolls cabins. I would recommend there should be a clear warning that the Knolls cabins have dogs stay in them. We booked those cabins because we were traveling with a child, so the extra bed was nice. However, my husband is allergic to dogs and the first 5 minutes we were in the cabin he started sneezing and having a runny nose. It lasted throughout our stay when we were inside the room, he took some allergy medication to help. The cabin definitely appeared clean and well taken care of but there was definitely dog dander in the cabin and there was dog hair (mostly seen in our daughters hair and stuffed animals). We definitely want to come back, but it would be nice if there were cabins that dogs didn't stay in to accommodate people with allergies. So we'll see what we decide to do!

Great place, super friendly staff that you can communicate directly with via text message. They have golf carts around the property that they’ll drive you around on. Cabins are thoughtfully designed, well lit, heated floors and really comfortable beds. The saunas were a highlight. Tew big communal saunas with a heated pool right outside and a private lakeside sauna that can easily be reserved via text.

We had the most amazing stay at Prospect Berkshires. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the minute we checked in until the moment we checked out. The cabin we stayed in was super cute and comfy. We chose the shared bath house option, which was very nice and well maintained. The shower and high-end soap were very refreshing. The whole facility is gorgeous. Walking around the different stone paths in autumn with breathtaking views over the lake is really something else. The food, coffee, and drinks in their restaurant The Cliff House were also top notch. I wish I stayed longer and will definitely be returning for another stay in the future. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

This is a truly special place and I cannot wait to return. The cabins are nearly perfect- clean Scandinavian design with beautiful pops of color and texture make you never want to leave, except for the gorgeous lakeside forest setting that makes you never want to return inside (it was a real struggle!). Thoughtful touches throughout the cabin like folding lawn chairs, rechargeable lanterns, full size botanical bath amenities and a curated selection of quality coffee/tea (best instant coffee EVER!) add elements of luxury unexpected at this price point. ||The grounds are meticulously maintained and give a feeling of peace and isolation that is hard to find in the modern world. The sauna and cold plunge experience led by Tyler was transformative and was the total reset my body needed- I slept for nearly 4 hours after on the dreamy window seat in the cabin. Taking a dip in the heated pool on a chilly November day was a nice treat, reading in the hammock by the lake and having s’mores around the fire with new friends was like summer camp 2.0. ||The food at Cliff House was extraordinary- from the gorgeous Scandi plate at breakfast to the rich and satisfying cassoulet and crisp golden chicken skin that cracked like glass, I couldn’t have been happier. It was the perfect execution of elevated takes on classic comfort food that using premium seasonal ingredients. Every dish was perfectly cooked, presented and seasoned. ||Special thanks to Max, Olen, Lannon, Darrow, Dean and the lovely Australian woman at breakfast whose name I never got- you all are weaving magic out in this picture-perfect fairytale setting.

Just back from a mid week November stay at Prospect Berkshires and we loved it! The location is perfect with easy access to Great Barrington (few minutes), Lenox (20 minutes), and North Adams (1 hour). The design is wonderful. The cabins were very warm and had floor heating for the bathroom and part of the hallway. We stayed in the lakeside cabins which we highly recommend. The property is so quiet and peaceful. The staff is wonderful and very knowledgeable and attentive. The star however is The Cliff House restaurant run by Chef Damian Evangelous. We had dinner 2 nights at the restaurant and were amazed at the food. Crazy good. There was a good selection and we enjoyed everything from the small bites, apps, mains and desserts. The Chef is a true superstar! Breakfast was also phenomenal! Be aware, however, that dinner is only available Wednesdays through Sundays and breakfast Thursdays through Mondays. There are other great places to eat in the area for both meals. We can't wait to go back in warmer weather so we can take advantage of the lake activities and the pool Note: The pool was open and warmed into the 80s but we were not so daring.

Everything about this place was so thoughtfully designed! We loved every single moment here, and found ourselves opting to stay in more than ever before! We had a lakeside cabin and the ambience of being so close to the water, with a beautiful backdrop, and the most lavish and comfortable casita was magical ! The Lakeside private sauna was such a wonderful and relaxing experience. All staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. We wished we could stay forever! I would give this place more than five stars if I could! Thank you so much for offering this beautiful place for my soul to refresh!
