We stopped in for lunch...parking lot was packed (good sign) super nice friendly staff. AWESOME buffet!! Everything was fresh and good!!! Fried chicken...dumplings...oysters..flounder..pulled pork with great sauces. Fresh green beans and greens. Nice salad bar too... And only 12.99 with a drink!! Great value. I've ate at several other local buffets at more than twice the money....and not nearly as tasty..😂😃you wont be disappointed.

We had lunch at Possers today. Not sure about the negative reviews. But all I can say is Wow !!! We loved the food! Everything was freshly made! Definitely highly recommended!!! Lots of selection and all very good. We were at Simply Southern Smokehouse the other day. They were good but Possers is a few notches up in my opinion. I especially liked that they had fish. I could go on and on but just check them out!! FYI, drinks are not included in the price. There were lots of cars in the parking lot but no wait in sitting. Very good service.

Absolutely lpve this place and highly recommend for proper low country food. Everything and I mean everything is delicious here. So many options and they keep everything full. If you can handle a little bit of a line its definitely worth it!!

After a week of eating all over the beach, Calabash down to south Murrel's Inlet, this is the place we *had* to repeat before leaving. There might be better barbecue in the Myrtle Beach area, but you'd be hard pressed to find it and if you *could* there isn't a snowflake's chance in you-know-where that it will be in the ballpark of value that Prosser's competes in. Continually fresh hushpuppies on the buffet, fried flounder, and somehow way above average sweet potato soufflé (not sure how you can even do that, but they have); tea glass is always full to the brim, buffet food is hot and fresh, service is *on it*. Don't be confused; this is Eastern Carolina barbecue. There is vinegar in it; lots of vinegar. It isn't sweet barbecue. It isn't saucy barbecue. If you don't care for that, this place might not be for you, but if you do, do yourself a favor and quit readin' and start drivin'/eatin'! 5 well deserved stars.

Google
Amazing country style buffet. It is always and I mean always slammed on Sunday. The food is excellent and has something for everyone. Word of caution though. The mash potatoes may look great but they are so salty, if disposed of outside they would lull every slug on the face of the planet. But great food and service.

Google
Best home cooking that I have found anywhere. We are from WNC area but Prosser"s is a must when we visit the SC coast. Follow the locals for good food, good prices and great service because this is where you'll find them. Check the web to see what the special is for the day you plan to go. It's all good though. We especially try to get there for the frog legs. 🐸 Thanks Prosser's we hope to see you soon.

Google
I really went there for bbq . There just wasn't a lot of bbq . Single ribs , pulled pork , chicken . Pretty much sums it up . No brisket , no burnt ends nothing like that . But that was it for bbq .The buffet was really good tho i must say . There was a lot to choose from . The service was second 2 none . So i was not disappointed just had hoped for more of a bbq joint .

Yelp
The server was very friendly and attentive! She cleared plates right away and checked on us. The buffet was good-a nice variety from fried chicken which was juicy and the breading actually had seasoning to fall off the bone bbq ribs, chicken and dumplings, and lots of other choices. The Mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole were my favorite sides. Wish the pork and beans were more of a baked bean. The pineapple cobbler was delicious-sweet and a touch of tart with the crunchy, sugary soft crust a good cobbler needs. Topped it with the nondairy vanilla ice cream and it was a nice way to finish the meal. Very comparable to Judy Boone's down the street-go and choose your favorite!

Yelp
Tried this local hidden gem! The atmosphere of the restaurant was great. Nice open tables great windows to look outside and great weight staff. The food is great! They have a mini salad bar : lettuce, tomato, cucumber, beets, potato salad, crab salad, homemade crispy, croutons, and multiple dressings just to say a little bit about the mini salad bar. The main all you can eat food bar : chicken, bog, chicken and dumplings, rice, pulled pork fried to perfection hush puppies fried fish, fried shrimp, Salisbury, steak and gravy, you name it they have it. Everything well spiced and great country flavor. Dessert : banana pudding, Oreo, cookie pie and self-serve ice cream. All you can eat! Great price plus they also offer beverages soda tea. Great local spot give it a try.

Yelp
You can't beat the price $15.99 for dinner. All you dare to eat. Went to Back Home and Judy Boone's back to back to compare. Both are very similar. Judy Boone's has more to offer on the bar but I give the nod to Back Home just by a hair. The oysters and cat fish were cook to perfection. Better the JB's. The collars were a lot better here at BH. Not bitter like at JB's. Didn't eat anything bad and even tried the frog legs for the first time. Go to both to see which one wins your vote for the best.

Yelp
We rented a house in North Myrtle Beach for my daughter's graduation. We were coming from NJ so I relied on Yelp reviews to find a place that would cater and we were not disappointed. We worked with Patty. She was so easy and accommodating. We ordered trays of pretty much everything. One thing was more delicious than the next. The sweet potato casserole, the ribs and the chicken were my favorite. Everyone kept going up for more and we had plenty of leftovers. The portions were plentiful. The only tip I would suggest is not ordering the mussels or the shrimp. Not because they weren't good but bc they didn't travel well. I definitely recommend if you are looking to cater ordering from here.

Yelp
Hostess was friendly. Small ants were all over our dinner table and chairs. Waitress charged us for 9 buffets when we only had 7 people. Food was ok.

Yelp
Food was excellent and the servers were very friendly. Overall just a great atmosphere and food was plentiful and delicious. Can't beat it for 12 bucks all you can eat!

Yelp
We have dined several times at Back Home Bbq. The food and staff are great. Nice selection, and the breakfast buffet is also very good

Yelp
After the location was the long standing Prosser's, then the inlet BBQ for a hot minute, now it's Back Home BBQ. It's simple Low Country cooking that will fill your belly with typical southern fare. My two favorite dishes on the buffet were the homemade macaroni and cheese, and probably the best sweet potato casserole I've ever tasted. Arrived just before the local rush of locals, charter Captains, local workers, and tourist. Though there are many restaurants to choose on the famous Murrells Inlet walkway, most are geared for tourists, and charge premium prices to maintain their elaborate establishments. But when you want to eat actual Southern cooking, this is it for the area. Simply Southern BBQ is for Myrtle Beach what Back Home BBQ is for Murrells Inlet. So come down, find a table, get your sweet tea, and enjoy an actual home cooked meal. Cannot give better praise then that!

Yelp
We've been going for years and love it here! Good food and friendly people. It has remained consistent even with the ownership/name changes and never disappoints!

Yelp
Great food and even better people! The wait staff is always there with a smile and a refill. I recommend for a hearty, down home Sunday breakfast!!

Richard R.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. Buffet was full and hot. Very good selection to choose from and reasonable priced. Restaurant was clean and the staff quite engaging with customers. Recommend to those wondering should the go.

Yelp
Delicious food. Clean restaurant and very nice waitress. Can't beat the price. We drove an hr from Myrtle Beach, can't wait to come again.

Yelp
I don't see how anyone could give this restaurant anything less than 5 stars. The food is freshly prepared daily and always tastes great and there's no shortage of choices. They have daily features on the buffet as well. The service is awesome without being overboard. I've eating there for years and I've never had a complaint and I work in the industry.

Yelp
I was in with a group of golfers and had the pleasure of Mickey waiting on us. Even though it's not your typical sit down restaurant and it's all you can eat. The food like cooking from your Momma's house . She was so attentive and knowledgeable about the area and told us what and where to go. Shout out to Mickey and see you next year

Yelp
So happy this restaurant has reopened and MANY of our old favorites are on the menu along with a few new items! If you are looking for a value and quality food this is your place. Meat offerings: Fried shrimp, deviled crab, flounder, oysters, frog legs, scallops, ribs, fried chicken, BBQ, Sides: dumplings, greens, mashed potatoes, beans n rice, fried okra, sweet potato casserole, Mac n cheese, and so much more!! They have an early bird pricing without coupon. Don't hesitate coming in for a buffet meal because it provides all your southern foods we all love at an exceptionally reasonable price.

Yelp
We were traveling with our dog and saw that this restaurant had a picnic table outside. We asked if we could eat at that table so our dog could be with us. They said yes and were super-accommodating and friendly. To top it all off, the food was excellent! Charlie approves, and we will definitely eat here again.

Yelp
I'm excited to learn that the workers and the staff from the legendary restaurant that closed in 2020 are back (home) to make this place better than ever. The renovations with new tables and chairs as well as new floor are great. I love breakfast lunch and dinner. I normally stay far away from a buffet but this one is well worth it. Don't miss the fried oysters on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Yelp
We returned here for our 4th year in a row and is still a great deal for the money, especially with hungry grandsons. Plenty of choices between BBQ and fish, may not be a million dollar view but the food and service will be worth your visit

Robert P.

Yelp
Food is always cold on bar. The heating system is just not working. Not sure why it is so hard to get hot food.

Jamie P.

Yelp
I know a lot of people come here for the BBQ and it is great BUT I love their collard greens. I am a true connoisseur when it comes to Collards. Their lima beans and sweet potato casserole is also awesome. Mac and cheese really good too. Glad to have come.

Yelp
Good ole Murrells inlet bbq joint is back in action. Always good options on the buffet. It's easy to eat too much

Aiden H.

Yelp
Started going here when it was Proccers (don't know how to spell it). Was so sad to see that it had closed down. We tried Back Home for the first time at the beginning of the summer and have been back 5 different times. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, all three were good. For the price you can not beat it.

James P.

Yelp
The food was not fresh on the buffet bar. I am from the area and have ate at a lot of different bbq restaurants. And have enjoyed them all. This is by far the worst bbq I've ever had, along with everything else that was sitting out. The sauce is absolutely terrible. A lot of people warned me not to go but I had to see for myself, boy were they right. Service was great but their cooking needs ALOT of improvements. Good luck , go down to Judy boones if your looking for a good buffet. Only giving one star bc the waitress was great. Thanks for reading.

John B.

Yelp
One of the few places that you get your money's worth. Great food and nice people..I loved the collard greens and Italian beans. Too much good food to talk about. Go there and enjoy.

Yelp
Ate here previously when it was Inlet Bar B Que in the same location and it was outstanding. We heard that the same great cooks were still here. We must have heard correctly, because we ate here on Thursday, and we were just as pleased as before. The buffet included normal staples such as fried chicken, collard greens, chicken dumplings, pinto and lima beans, and rice. Additionally, they were offering fried shrimp and flounder, fried pork chops and pork ribs. There were many more items, but these were the ones I concentrated on. On buffets, I typically try small amounts of all the foods I might like on the first plate. Although I tried to spread the food out on my plate, there were so many good looking items that my first plate was stacked high! Normally, I exclude several items on the second plate. However, the only things I cut out from my list above on my second plate was the dumplings and the rice. The pork chops and barbecue were some of the best I have had, anywhere. We have previously eaten at Hymans Seafood in Charleston which many regard as the best seafood restaurant in South Carolina, but the fried shrimp we ate here tasted much better than Hyman's. I am guessing that the shrimp was therefore fresher, here. We have eaten at so many buffets all over the southeast, and I do not think you will find as good a lunch buffet as good as this one for only $10.50! Make sure you don't eat to much for breakfast before you come here, else you will miss out on too many great foods.

Diane B.

Yelp
Great food at great prices! The oysters were the best I've eaten in years. Southern fare done right- sausage chicken bog, collards, sweet potato casserole, and excellent hush puppies. Comfortable, laid back decor and experienced servers. Don't forget the sweet tea!

Yelp
A great place to eat a wonderful home cooked meal. Service is friendly and inviting. This place has the perfect name because it definitely reminds you of being at home. Food is great, even got to have BBQ with grits. Definitely recommend to give this place a try.
