I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent stay at your hotel in Sandton. Unfortunately, this has been the worst hotel experience I have had in the area.
When I arrived at the Gautrain station, I was told the hotel shuttle only runs every half hour. This left me waiting for an unnecessarily long period in a vulnerable position at the station. For after-hours pickups, a more frequent or on-request service should be offered, especially for guest safety.
Today, at the shuttle pickup point, the driver(Evans) was so engaged in conversation with another passenger that he drove right past me. I had to run after the shuttle to get his attention. When he finally stopped, he continued his conversation without acknowledging me at all. It left me feeling dismissed—perhaps because I wasn’t dressed like the other passengers?
When I arrived at the hotel, I went to the front desk, where the receptionist completely ignored me while answering a call. I waited, expecting to be assisted once she was done, but she simply moved on to another call. Moments later, the front-of-house manager walked right past me to assist another (well-dressed) woman, making me feel invisible. When I raised my voice to get attention, the manager responded by raising her own, as though I was the one out of line.
This treatment was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. I felt overlooked, judged, and undervalued throughout my experience. Based on this, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
