It's a monastery type of accommodation - everything is very simplistic. The bed was too soft for me. There was no soap in the bathroom, just some shower gel (do I need to go into the shower to wash my hands?). The breakfast was good but not spectacularly rich. It's very quiet there, which might be an advantage. Overall, I think it's too expensive for the quality.

We toured the monastery but didn't stay in the hotel. It is an important religious landmark, but I wish we could have appreciated it better. An audioguide or small pamphlet would make this much easier to understand.

We haven't stayed in the hotel but visited the monastery. We had the guide at 11 AM which was very well done. Learned a lot about the history and the monastery and its most famous monk Martin Luther. The guide took approximately 45 min to 1h. Its in German. It's ok to come with children, but obviously make sure they are not running around or not too loud as there will be a lot of echo. If you come with a pram, it's best to leave it at the shop or the church.

A nicely reconstructed monastery with almost 800 years of history, which is definitely worth a visit. You get an audio guide with your ticket and you can see everything at your own pace. A place associated with Martin Luther.

We stayed one night in the Monastery area dedicated to housing mostly groups who are in Erfurt to devote time to seeing Luther sites and studying his impact on the world. That said, my husband and I were warmly welcomed at the reception desk and given a key for the outside door as the reception closes at 6:00 p.m. An employee gave us a short tour of the chapel in English before we went to our room. We were free to come and go at any time and were able to use the area available for group relaxation with coffee/tee service. Our room was more spacious than I expected and looked into the inner courtyard. We were very comfortable there although note that there is no TV nor are there extra "comforts" of a hotel. This facility is more like a dorm setting for groups. The breakfast area was very pleasant with plenty of options-even pancakes and syrup, which we never saw at any hotel or guesthouse in our travels in Germany. All in all, this was an excellent choice for us as we were in Erfurt to absorb the Luther "atmosphere" and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the small and pretty city.

Beautiful old monastery that was turned into a hotel, with quite small but clean rooms. Very friendly staff and good breakfast. It's a 5 minute walk to the old town from there. Some few parking spots on-site, but sufficient public ones available nearby (10 € / 24h). Very nice place, highly recommended.

Great place to hold business meetings and conduct all-day seminars. Very calming rooms. Good food. All in all an awesome location to be productive.

Great to see and stay at this special place! The rooms had no WiFi, but a strong signal at the cloister. Comfortable rooms, and they even had the twin beds pushed together for us as a married couple. Room 1 has a heated floor in the shower, but there is a serious design flaw for water when showering and related mold and mildew issues.
