Providence Thrift Store (Fort Oglethorpe)

This thrift store has a large selection of new mattresses at very reasonable prices. There is also new furniture mixed with donated furniture. The donated furniture is great for project work as most of it is in need of repair. I did think their prices were high for the condition of the pieces. Nice selection of clothing for the whole family. Very friendly staff. They do not seem to have handicapped parking designated.

Today I visited here. Everything was fine until checkout. There was no one at the front desk so I stepped around to the office and asked is someone working up front. There were 2 others lined up also. The young lady who came to ring up my purchases has a name tag that said her name is Dallas. She seemed mad as she stuffed all my items in one small bag. She tried to rip the receipt off and only ripped it in half and handed it with my change. She never once said a word to me. I told her I hope her day got better as I turned to leave.

I actually love this place. Some of their prices can be a bit silly, but all in all it's a great thrift store with lots of good finds. Customer service is fine and I'm sure they'd help if you asked, but it's s a thrift store so they aren't gonna go find that green pair of pants you need so much. I REALLY like that they (try to) size their clothing. It isn't perfect, but WAY better than other places! I don't have any photos of the place, but please enjoy this photo of an inchworm.

This place has through the roof prices on used items that are higher than new store prices . Unbelievable. I seen a used notebook for 3.00. It was 120 sheets of paper . These are normally 1.00 to 1.49 in stores new. I was shocked . I continued to look and found the most insane prices on things. Won’t be shopping there again. So incredibly disappointed with this place .

This is a great store very friendly people.The manager was really nice and helpful everyone there was really professional.

It was better with the other person who ran it before the prices are higher an inflation is not a reason because they get that stuff for free they have become just as greedy as the other for a "religious place" this is saddening

So far my favorite thrift store since moving here! I find quality gently used items like accessories, clothing, and decor for every room! I found a pair of Harley Davidson leather pants that looked brand new, and fit like a glove, for only $19.99! There's always something on sale, and a wide variety of styles & sizes for the whole family! Only 1 dressing room, but I can deal with that for the bargains I always get!
