10/10 experience!! Rented 2 e-bikes for 2 hours as a gift for my gf’s birthday for us to ride around town and the trails. So much fun! Rental process was simple and smooth and staff were very friendly. Neither of us had used an e-bike before and we were given a very helpful demonstration and walk through. He also made sure we checked that the seats were at the correct height before we left as they could only be adjusted with a screwdriver. We got the hang of the bikes very quickly and 2 hours flew by! Next time we will be going with the half day rental. Definitely recommend this shop for rentals and I will be returning to rent on future trips!!

This was a very fun activity. We enjoyed the trail. Provincetown Bike Rentals was so kind to us. We enjoyed the owners Daughter In Charge and seeing her quote our cost.

Rented for the day for myself & 11 yr old granddaughter. Seven-speed bikes were perfect for getting around the area, and tackling hills on the bike trail to the beach. Bikes in better shape for rentals than I expected. Bike basket was sufficiently roomy for beach gear (towel, change of clothes, snacks). Shop is a very short walk from pier where ferry arrives. Relatively quick pick up & drop off process. Pleasant staff.

Easy to book and a great ride. I pre booked online, very easy. Then a quick sign of the waiver and demo of the e-bike and I was off. The bike rode great and easily tour out to the beach and around the tip of the cape. Would do again.

Great bike selection in the heart of town! The staff was very nice and the rental process was easy. We rented two days in a row. Biking is the best way to get around to see P-town. I would highly recommend this location.

It was an easy process to pick up our bikes. They were in great condition & they provided both helmets and locks. The shop is an easy walk from commercial street. Highly recommend them!

Very easy to rent a bike, they explained everything well. We walked in, signed a waiver, got our bikes which came with a helmet + bike locks. Upon returning it all we had to do was hand the bikes back and that's it, no issues. Within the four hours we were able to visit both Race Point and Herring Cove Beach, it was a nice ride.

Every summer my family reserves three bikes. The rental process is always easy, and each bike comes with a lock and a helmet. We ordered bikes with baskets as well so that we could keep our things in them as we rode through Provincetown. Not all bikes come with baskets so you'll have to ask for them there or ahead of time. The only thing that made the difference between four and five stars was the fact that my sister's bike basket wasn't fitting on the bike properly, and the bell didn't really work for her either. Other than that, the bikes rode smoothly, and we had a great time. They also had a cute dog at the bike shop that was friendly. If you're looking for a place to rent bikes, I recommend coming here.

This is for sure the place to get your bike rentals. They have so many to chose, from electric to standard bikes which was great considering Ptown is either a walking or biking place. It was convenient and easy to walk in and get the bikes. All that was needed was a waiver for the rental. We ended up doing the 24hr electric rental which is great and the pricing is for sure competitive with other shops around town. The bikes ride very smooth and comfortable. The continued maintenance on the bikes is for sure their as they look brand new. For sure coming back as the staff was very helpful and the process was easy and quick.

These electric bikes require constant pedaling( (except downhill) I'm recovering from knee surgery so these bikes are not ideal. Great Staff. Will return next year!

Last night and today I have tried to reserve bikes on your site. Only to loop over and over again to creating my username and password. Get the order into my cart and it stays greyed out and asked me to log in. After hitting enter back to the same screen. Tried to create account and it says complete but makes me log in again and back to loop. So frustrating. Should not be this difficult.

These folks maintain their bikes extremely well. They're a little bit (and I mean "little") more expensive than the other guys in town, but you won't find yourself having to return a bike that has crappy brakes. And, due to Hurricane Henri, I decided to return my bike a day early. Immediately, they gave me a refund. I didn't even mention it. They're good guys with a good product, good maintenance and good customer service. Rent from them.

Provincetown Bike Rentals Every time we visit Provincetown we take the opportunity to rent the e-bikes to explore the scenic bike trails and the beautiful side streets in Provincetown. Our top choice for bikes is Provincetown Bike Rentals, which is conveniently located only one block from Commercial Street and steps from the only CVS in town. The owner Mike always takes care of us and charges a very reasonable price. The condition of the bikes is excellent with an ample selection to choose from.

The owner Bill and his staff were so helpful with our bikes. He went above and beyond for us and very reasonable! We will be back!

Our first bike rental experience was remarkable! I will mention we did scope out nearby businesses to compare prices before concluding PBR was the best option. We basically needed a rental past closing without spending an arm and leg. For $24, a full days rate, this was quite reasonable. The sales reps here are wonderful! As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with warm hellos and friendly smiles. The few staff members we interacted with were pretty informative and professional. They provided us with trail maps and gave us some sight-seeing suggestions. The man who assisted us with our bike selection was very helpful. He even made certain we remembered how to safely ride/operate before setting us off lol.. Also, they were very accommodating. We requested to drop off the bikes after the 8pm closing since we would only need them a few hours past. They allowed us to lock the bikes out front and slip the key tags in the mailbox. Great customer service! So basically..., for anyone who's interested in exploring P-Town without vehicle hassles, a bike is definitely your best bet and I highly recommend a rental here. ;-)

This place was super nice to begin with. Easy rental and processing and efficient. We rented electric bikes for the first time. We were halfway through the bike path to the beach when other bikers coming opposite way and I lost control and fell. Scraped the asphalt and scraped my knee/leg. We were able to ride to first aid, and the bike rental owner (Don?) came there himself to pick us up with the bikes. Not only did he drop us off at our B&B, he also insisted on not charging us since "we didn't have a nice time." Who does that these days?! If you are in PTown and need a bike rental, this is the place! (But no more biking for me lol).

Excellent service and the bikes were all in great shape. We rented 2 regular and 2 ebikes. The trails are also well maintained with spectacular views. Would definitely go back.

He and the staff are very friendly and when we returned the bikes with an issue that one of the bikes didn't change gears properly, Jason was terrific in resolving the manner with the utmost professionalism. I needed an emergency repair for a bad crank arm right at the beginning of a week-long bike trip. The shop worked on my bike right away, and did a pretty sophisticated repair (from my point of view) in order to get me back on the road. The shop saved my trip! And the person who worked on it was friendly, knowledgeable and determined to find a solution to the problem, which he did. Also, I'm not a local customer. So the shop did all this without knowing me or considering that I'd likely be a repeat customer.

When my bike tire was pierced by a stray gold hoop on Bradford, I walked it to Provincetown Bike Rentals for repair. Not only is the staff super kind and knowledgable, the store itself has a great layout and contains a large variety of products. There was no bike snobbery here, even though I could tell everyone who works here is probably a bike genius. If you love your bike, bring it here. It will be in good hands.

The folks at Provincetown Bike Rentals are awesome! We had so much fun on their Electric Bikes that we rented them again!! The electric bikes assist you through the dunes with unbelievable ease. We felt guilty flying by bikers huffing and puffing up the hills in the dunes. The prices are very reasonable. Customer Service is top notch!! I highly recommend renting from them! Going back to P-Town next week and plan on renting the electric bikes again!

This was my second time renting bikes on vacation, but this was a far better experience than the first time (in a different store and city). Provincetown Bike Rentals had knowledgeable and helpful staff. We had a half dozen peoole in our group, and they sized our bikes appropriately. They gave us maps and helmets and explained the local bike trails. They even helped one member in our group who was not the strongest rider -- they found him a bike that worked for him and gave him tips before he went out. Their support did the trick, and he had a fantastic ride all around the island. We will definitely be renting from PBR again! Top-notch place.

Me and my family rented bikes from this establishment and were treated with the best customer service that I have ever encountered. This is my second year renting from P-Town Bike Rentals. Mike and Dan were very helpful and knowledgeable. They worked with my wife and got her fitted for the perfect bike. This year we used the brand new motorized bikes. THEY ARE AWESOME! I will never rent from anyone else. Great rates, great service, great times.

These guys are great. While I didn't rent from them I will next time! I had my own bike with me and stopped in because the brakes were wonky. This was in August 2016, a busy time . They were so nice. They gave it a quick and thorough once over and uncovered a bunch of things that made my ride sweet and safe. Thanks so much!

I reserved in advance and my bike was ready when I got to the store later than I had expected. Later in the week I had a flat a block away and Dan fixed it right away and reminded me again that they will come pick me up if I'd had the flat farther away. Great bikes and friendly service from Dan and the rest of the guys. Highly recommend!

Excellent service, totally reasonable rates! We liked the bikes we rented so much that we bought two of them right there. (They start selling used rental bikes at the end of each season.) Mike was fantastic--he helped us find a bike rack for our car and then install it. Needless to say, we'll be back. And it's perfectly located, near the race point bike trail.

My boyfriend and I rented bikes for a few hours and had a great time. The guys working here were super nice, helpful and tried to help everyone as quick as possible. The bikes were in great condition and the crew knew everything when it comes to bikes. Great place.

I had a day to spend out on two wheels, enjoying quiet & the beauty of the Cape. These guys were instantly friendly and helpful, went out of their way to set me up well for the kind of day I needed. Reasonable prices (24$ for 24 hours), a good quality bike, and kind staff - a no brainier to rent from here.

We recently took the Provincetown Fast Ferry over from Boston to spend the day on the Cape. After hours of researching reviews for bike rentals, I decided to go with Provincetown Bike Rentals. Although they had few reviews, (they are a relatively new company) they had a great selection of bikes online and were very helpful when I called to make inquiries about the bikes and trails. The three of us were given our bikes, exactly as we had seen pictures. Bikes are new and work well, with no mechanical issues. We were given helmets, locks, and baskets (important for your Provincetown shopping) at no extra charge. I traveled the trails to Race Point Beach with my two twenty-something daughters. The dunes and views of the ocean are gorgeous. After reaching the beach, I realized this Grandmother was too tired for the ride back. We called Provincetown Bikes and they said they would send out someone to pick up the bikes, and would even send a driver out to pick us up whatever time we requested! We stayed in the beach an hour, then called Provincetown Bikes, and they picked us up at Race Point Beach! After a nice car ride back into Provincetown, I still had enough energy for shopping with my girls. A big thank you to Provincetown Bikes for their understanding and helpfulness! Everyone should support this new company. Their customer service is over and above expectations. One hint - if it is a busy weekend in P-town, you may want to reserve in advance.

We were in town on a road trip from west coast. Wanted to ride the trails. These guys are rock stars. Super nice and very informative. Closet to trail head from other rental companies.

The reviews are accurate--Provincetown Bike Rentals was a great choice. We researched all of the rental places and reserved our bikes in advance because we were planning to spend an entire week in Ptown with bikes as our primary transport. We had two chances to test their customer service and both times they came through perfectly and quickly. The first time, we'd left one of the bikes attached to a streetlight on the busy section of Commercial Street, and someone must have bumped into it hard enough to knock the chain loose. We called the shop and they were there within 10 minutes, maybe less, and actually brought a replacement bike rather than just fixing the chain. The second time, I parked my bike in a rack at the wharf, and when I came back someone had squeezed their bike in next to mine in a way that made it impossible (for me) to remove my bike without damaging it in the process. Again I called the shop and they showed up very quickly--let's say within five minutes--and managed to disentangle my bike from the others. They earned this review!

Visiting Ptown for the first time our family discovered there are a lot of wonderful bike trails and just a short ride from town you're at the Cape Cod National Seashore. As such, we decided to rent bikes and go exploring. This bike company was conveniently located a block or so from the heart of downtown. They have a great system to take care of the information they need and liability/insurance forms, utilizing iPads. It was quick and easy. After completing check-in and payment, we were fitted with bikes, helmets, and locks. The bikes were well-maintained and in good condition. My wife and I opted for electric bikes and were given easy to understand instructions and assistance as we got used to them. Then we headed in out. As we approached the seashore visit center, our granddaughter got a flat tire. We were extremely fortunate as cell phone coverage is poor, at best, where we were. In addition, we were at a location that was easy to find. I made a call to the bike rental, they answered the call quickly, got some information, and brought out a replacement bike in about 10 minutes. No questions asked, just concentrating on getting us back in motion. We rode 9 miles in about an hour. We saw bright red cardinals, an old growth area of maple trees, and lovely views of dunes and the shore. Be forewarned, there are some good sized hills and the trails can be somewhat strenuous. Upon returning the bikes we were met by the team who helped us get the bikes and equipment checked in with no fuss or muss. The staff is professional, personable, knowledgeable, and dedicated to insuring you have a good experience. Do yourself a favor if you're renting a bike(s) in Ptown, this outfit is the best!

New bike rental place in town. Very knowledgeable and friendly owner. Brand new bikes, helmets and locks all free with the bike rental. Did not have to leave a ginormous deposit to rent bikes either. Highly recommend this place!

Please allow me to add another rave review for Mike the Bike Guro at Provincetown Bike Rentals. We were having an issue with our new Yakima rack and our Toyota cross-rails. Mike left the shop and helped repair the issue as our vehicle was parked across the street during a busy Provincetown afternoon. Friendly, efficient service in what was a pretty stressful moment. Highly, highly recommended.

We have rented here several times. Very nice people, very efficient operation, and bikes are in good repair. And reasonable prices! Plus, a small parking lot. They make the whole thing easy.

I had my bike tuned up here and Mike did an absolutely fantastic job on my beloved Trek. He even removed rust on various screws and treated parts with a rust proofer. He took time to put it on a rack and show me this and that. The guy loves bikes and puts his heart into his work. My bike is running as though it is brand new. The $45. Tuneup would have been double in Boston. Big 5 stars!
