Fab boutique hotel around the lake in Arosa. Fantastic views from the top floor - and being on the end you wake up to the mountains on two sides. The breakfast was delicious with fantastic bread - freshly made and still warm at 7.30am. Bath in the room made it lovely to soak in after a busy day hiking around the hills. Highly recommended.

Restaurant was fantastic. Great service, excellent selection of dishes, and the steak was grilled to perfection and served wonderfully. Really glad we went, and you should to as well!

Great budget stay near the slopes and bus station It is pretty close to the main station and the ski lifts there, and if you want to go to Hornli then the bus stop is right near the hotel. The dinner at the restaurant was really good, and the lounge had a great selection of craft beers (nothing too fancy for the liquors/cocktails though). The bed was really comfy and the lighting in the room was amazing, especially given how there aren't many buildings near it. Sadly, the breakfast was terrible, could barely find what to eat. Also one of the worst coffees I've ever had :( The windows were very dirty and with dust on them.

The hotel is quite chic and modern in decor. Our room had one chair and no couch and a sitting cushion with a back and pillows on the floor. The room was clean and the view was great. The staff wasn't on site, but came right away when we called. They were very accommodating, even loaning us Swiss-Schuko outlet adapters. We got use of "Arosa All Inclusive Cards" which provided fare for the ski lifts, buses, boat rentals, and access to the ice rink. Traffic is loud in the morning.

I am writing this at 09.00hrs on a Sunday morning, listening to the the cleaning staff shouting at each other in the corridors, same thing happened yesterday, no chance of a lie-in here!! Since removing the carpets in the rooms, you can hear every, crash, bang and scrape from other guests. They have done an excellent job with the renovations, the bar and nightclub are nice and cool. Good location to the ski lifts and others bars and restaurants.

Perfect location, friendly staff, clean rooms. Super comfy bett. Suggested improvemens: better lighting in the rooms, proper table.

This hotel is now under new management and the owners are undertaking some refurbishment. Unfortunately this seems to consist of painting the public areas black, which makes them pretty gloomy. I think they are going for a younger and maybe a biker crowd (at least in the summer) and so they have got rid of the previous kitsch but cosy Heidi style breakfast room and repalced it with very utilitarian furniture.||||That having been said, the Obersee compares well on price and is in a brilliant location, near the station, the centre of town, the ski lifts, overlooking the lake (with great views) and next to the Ice Hall where the tourist office now is.||||The wifi was patchy and the clump of hair in the bath plug a little gruesome, but you get what you pay for I guess. Service was friendly, however.||||Breakfast was fine, but no frills and the bar and restaurant seem popular. Please do something about the flies in the breakfast room though - one ended up in the honey!

Spent 3 days here in July with 2 teenage sons; we have come to Arosa for skiing every year for several years, we know the resort and love it. This was our first trip in the summer and now we know it's excellent all year round; we hiked, and swam in the lower lake (Untersee). The hotel, being right by the upper lake (Obersee) and close to the railway station, was convenient and friendly; the decor is a touch dated but the whole place is spotless, in keeping with Swiss standards of cleanliness. Our room was comfy and had a splendid view of the Waterworks, the fountains/lights/music show on the Obersee on the Tuesday evening. Choice at breakfast was limited, but some good coffee, yogurt and a croissant from the Obersee's breakfast room was sufficient to start the day - it left room for cakes at one of the several good bakeries in the town or the one on the top of the Weisshorn.
