We finally made it into PS Air and were not disappointed. It was super busy (admittedly, we went during Modernism Week, without a reservation), but they were still able to seat us in short order. If you haven't been here yet or heard about it, the bar is whimsically themed like an airplane, and it feels like you're inside headed to some far off destination. The decor is amazing, with various views out of each window, vintage luggage stored overhead, service staff in uniform, and clouds above your head. Speaking of heads, even the bathroom sticks to this theme, being a slightly larger version of what you'll find on a plane.
The menu is quite creative, again with the aeronautical theme. Off of the "Wines Around the World" menu, my wife ordered a glass of South African Merlot ($12), while I had one of their signature cocktails, the Warm Nuts ($16). Since we had eaten earlier, we just shared an order of the Mixed Olives ($10), but all of the food that came out to the tables around us looked very good. We did order a second round of drinks. I tried a Turbulence ($16) and my wife had the Chocolate Cloud ($16). All cocktails were well made, and delicious!
Service was very good on our visit, even though there was a little bit of a wait due to the larger crowds and them being one person short. Overall, a fun experience, and I'm sure we'll be back to give more food and cocktails a try.
