This is a detailed review of Psycle fitness center in Westlake after attending cycling classes for the last six months.
First, the place: It is roomy and clean. The facility is well-maintained. The cycling studio is designed in a stadium-like fashion, so everyone can see the instructor irrespective which bike you’re on. The bikes are state-of-the-art, sturdy and comfortable. There is proper air circulation, and the temperature is appropriate for the activity. The fitness gym is pretty wide and has multiple tools for strengthening and other activities. Yet, I only do cycling.
Second, instructors: All the instructors inspire confidence. I have attended classes with 3 of them. Now, I attend exclusively Maria’s cycling classes: She possesses unique motivational skills and she is an inspiration: She pushes each and every one of us to his/her potential (sometimes a bit too much:)). Her class has familiar faces (almost like a clan) each with his/her preferred spot.
Third, music/sound: The sound system is exceptional. The music is loud, just the way it’s supposed to be. They also provide earplugs, but I never needed them. The taste of music is mostly newer pop music, (I don’t enjoy much). Every now and then she might play a Madonna or Fleetwood Mac song.
In summary, I never thought I would join a cycling group/classes. I attribute my continued attendance to the instructor’s motivational prowess and positive attitude. She makes me wanna come back! (I just wish she plays more 80s music for people my age:))
