On the Grid : Pt. Gaya Prasad Shiv Charan Paranthe Wale

"The ubiquitous Gali Parathe Waali is another Old Delhi staple which is definitely worth the visit. But which shop do you go to? After all these years of direct competition, it is hard to tell one from the other (and they are all pretty good) but Pt. Gaya Prasad Shiv Charan Paranthe Wale is the most famous, citing the photographic evidence of celebrity patronage on its walls. Try their more unusual offerings, such as lemon or mint stuffed parathas (fried flat bread), which are perfect for the summer. Though at first the thought of a piping hot stuffed bread might not appeal in the heat, you must forge on and trust us! Also of note are classic and outstanding radish and potato paranthas, and the somewhat quirky papad parathas. Go with friends and try multiple kinds, and wash it all down with refreshing kulhads (clay pots) of lassi (chilled yogurt shake)." - Delhi Dallying

its delicious, authentic parathas and rich traditional taste. However, the heavy crowd, long waiting queues, and rushed service, especially during peak hours, as a common drawback…otherwise they are serving the most tastiest paranthe in that paranthe wali gali….. i dont have words to explain that honey and banana combo which comes along with some secret masala’s..👌😋 or haan bhai paranthe garam garam senke ja rhe the isiliye plate m paratha nahi h😁

The taste of the Parnatha was not good at all. It tastes even worse than normal paranthas, considering its price. Apart from that the overall street was very dirty and the hygeine was abysmal. Should focus more on the taste of the food than putting picture with famous people on the walls.

This place serves the authentic paranthas of paranthe wali gali without the need to go to the narrow crowded lanes, so if you prefer tasting the authentic food of Chandni Chowk without having to tackle the rush of chandni chowk, this is the best place to have a meal. Though the taste is not exactly the same but is still decent enough.

The overall experience is positive. The behaviour of the owner is humble and welcoming. The service was quick. Waiting Time 5 minutes on Sunday. Tried Alu Parantha, Mix Veg Parantha, Papad Parantha and Khoya Parantha. Best Parantha : Papad

Came here after several years - quality is not the same. Fried paranthas - way too hard and lacking flavors. I guess quality has gone down over the years. It’s probably just a tourist spot now - locals don’t seem to eat here any more.

Authentic Delhi Experience at Paranthe Wali Gali! We’re from South India and recently visited Chandni Chowk, where we made sure to explore the iconic Paranthe Wali Gali. We stopped by Pt. Gaya Prasad Shiv Charan and tried a variety of parathas – aloo, paneer, mixed veg – and each one was delicious in its own way. We also had their lassi, which was thick, refreshing, and a perfect complement to the meal. As expected, the place is a bit congested, with narrow lanes typical of old Delhi – but that’s part of the charm and authenticity of the experience. A must-visit spot for food lovers looking to savor Delhi’s traditional flavors!

Very poor quality parathas, fried in dirty oil, taste is not good at all, if anyone finds my review wrong then try eating one piece first, then place the full order,

Had the cheese burst paratha — super cheesy, crispy, and totally worth it! Great taste and quick service. Will be back for more. If you visit chandani chowk then you should go here once.
