Spectacular on all levels! This hotel is phenomenal and the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. I celebrated my daughter’s birthday here and it was a wonderful experience. I had called earlier for the arrangements and they organized everything perfectly at Keys Restaurant. The staff even joined during the cake cutting, which made the moment very special for us. The entire staff was gracious and welcoming at every turn—from the curbside porter and front desk attendants to the restaurant staff and housekeeping. The front desk service was smooth and helpful throughout the stay. Our room was a family room, big, spacious, very clean and comfortable, and well maintained with all the basic amenities we needed. The location is also very convenient and easy to reach. Throughout our stay we experienced consistent, highly attentive service that anticipated our needs. The breakfast was also good and a nice way to start the day.

I arrived late at night with my family during a business trip to Hay River, and the experience was excellent from the start. The staff were very humble, kind, and helpful, and they quickly arranged a comfortable room near the back door, which made things much easier for us. The room was very clean and well maintained, with good air conditioning and strong free Wi-Fi. In the morning, I used the gym, which was clean and convenient, and I really enjoyed breakfast — the breakfast staff took great care of me and provided friendly service. I also spent some time at the pub, which was a nice place to relax. Overall, great experience.

I stayed at this hotel while traveling from Edmonton to Yellowknife. When I reached town, no hotel was answering the phone, and I was really stressed. Luckily, Ptarmigan helped me book this place, and I’m very thankful for that. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom looks newly renovated and fresh. I slept very peacefully. Everything felt well maintained. The location is convenient and easy to find. In the morning I had breakfast at the restaurant, and it was really delicious. The food was fresh and tasty. The staff were polite, helpful, and made me feel welcome. Overall, I had a very good experience and I would definitely stay here again. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling on this route

Great stay and definitely worth it. The location is super convenient as I flew in and didn't had a personal vehicle. Close to everything you'd need. Check-in was smooth and staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Room was clean, comfortable and well maintained with a strong wifi and all basic amenities. Staff were very helpful . I couldn't get a cab to the airport to the airport early morning but the manager was generous enough to drop me off so I don't miss the flight. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I'd happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Hay River.

One of my worst stays in a hotel. Here for a week and never once got a good nights rest. From rooms with uncontrollable temperatures, can’t turn the heat off. From heat not even working at all and little electric heaters in rooms. Fridges that are broken, froze my food on its lowest setting. Paper thin walls with people making noise from late at night to being woken up at 5 in the morning. The food quality at the restaurant is always different, can leave the whole restaurant staff tips but yet they wont allow you to have the dinner menu at 4:00pm because dinner isn’t served until 5. There is some nice staff and that’s about all that this hotel has going for it. Definitely would try another hotel in town before staying here again.

I’m deeply regretful of dining and living in this hotel, the foods are all human made (especially the steak or rib eye, it did not taste like a beef, the fatty part taste disgusting), it also takes them forever to get the food and keep missing up the order. The moment when I enter my room, it was hot as hell, but when I reached the service, they simply turned off the air conditioner, I want it to little be cool because it’s 30 degree inside but I did not want it be turned off! Because it was -30 degree outside. They did not accept me to change room!! The toilet was stinky, I could still see the brown stink from the last customer. The sink would some time give out a gross smell, like a mix of poop and sewer. I could not even lock the bathroom door properly, the lock is literally behind the door, it did absolutely nothing. And for the main door, it feels like I could even kick the door and it would broken. As a hotel, they did not provide a single body wash, I wouldn’t even say this if they call themselves a motel. A total hell waste of my money.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was extremely poor and completely unacceptable. The food was unfit for consumption and unsafe. Spoiled and reheated food from the previous day, such as sausages, was served, with a noticeable change in smell and taste, raising serious health concerns. As for the service, it was very poor, especially during breakfast. A waitress named Maria behaved extremely rudely, treated me with disrespect, and lacked even the most basic standards of customer service. Asking guests for tips or behaving in such an inappropriate manner is unprofessional and reflects poorly on both her conduct and the hotel’s overall standards. This experience is not worthy of a hotel that is supposed to respect its guests and provide a clean environment and decent service. I do not recommend staying at this hotel

The room facilities are terribly outdated, with air conditioning broken, leaving the room unbearably hot. The soundproofing is dreadful, the drains give off a foul odour, it's filthy and poorly maintained, and the location is rather remote. Though the service attitude was decent enough. In short, it's a complete waste of money.

Worst hash browns I ever ate .driest omelette ever (gross ate 1/4) .I ordered a skillet and got a omelette when I addressed the waiter he told me that's how they make skillets here hmmm insulting to anyone specialty ehen the waiter says two words and walks away I stopped eating here long time ago thought I would give them a chance never again will I eat in this establishment

i'm reviewing the restaurant part of this hotel. really good food and well presented. i ordered salmon with veggies. it was perfect, no complaints. the service was nice and the place was clean. i would definitely recommend and visit again

There is something terribly wrong with the kitchen in this place. We were a group of ten. Six of us ordered appetizers and then we all ordered meals. Only one appetizer arrived, but only two minutes before the meal. The meals took two hours to arrive. In the meantime, other tables arrived, were served, and left. Four of the meals did not arrive before two of them got up and left. Do not eat here even if you are staying in this hotel. In fact, you might just want to stay elsewhere as well.
