Fabulous pub! Very good value for money. We stayed here on Wed 23/04/2025 and absolutely enjoyed it. The bar is so cosy & full of character! We had the best pub dinner here after a full day of driving & sight seeing, so delicious. We had Surf & turf with veg & mash and the honey glazed pork with mash & veg. The wood fireplaces inside the dining room & pub were so lovely on a cool rainy night/day. There’s a fire pit out the front & stunning views of mountains & dairy farm country all around the pub. Pyengana is truly beautiful and peaceful. The beds in our room 1 were so comfy & warm. The shared toilets and bathrooms were very clean and lovely hand soaps, body wash, shampoo and conditioner to use. Great music playing outside the pub, they very kindly turned it off just after closing which was before 9pm giving us a great sleep. There’s cereals & milk, toast, spreads, tea & coffee and towels provided for your stay. Fantastic little pub & accommodation very reasonable price & there’s a cute beer drinking pig called Priscilla on the property (she was sleeping in her little house when we left as it was raining). Friendly staff, great food. Highly recommend!

We arrived here after dark in our camper and didn't get a good sense of our surroundings. Dinner was amazing. I had the seafood chowder and my partner had the lamb shanks special. We both found there was a poor selection of beers on tap. But the environment was friendly and relaxed. They have a darts board and several fireplaces, making the pub feel very homely and hospitable. When we woke up the next morning, the views that we woke up to were absolutely incredible. We didn't get the chance to give Priscilla the Pig a beer, but we did say hello before we went on our way.

Our meals were amazing!! Honey and garlic glazed pork and korean chicken burger. Staff were super friendly. Beautiful countryside and enjoyed a chat with Priscilla. We called for lunch on our way to St Columbia falls. Our only regret is not staying overnight as wasn't sure it was RV friendly. We moved on to Weldborough however the pub was closed there.

Amazing food, super fun vibe, lots of character and a level of warmth that was unmatched. We got to meet and feed Pricilla the pig, and enjoyed ourselves!

Only went for a meal with my two young children, the bar and restaurant is a lovely cozy place with interesting things on the wall, I will definitely go back on my own sometime to ask about some of the things there. The staff were very friendly and the meal came out as fast as any place I had ever been, kids meals were great (nuggets and chips for one, bangers and mash for the other) I ordered Surf and Turf with chips and salad for me, the steak was good enough but not spectacular, the chips were great and the salad was amazing. Reasonably priced considering how far away from civilization the place is. Highly recommend a visit!

Priscilla the pig beat me in a beer chug, the food was surprisingly good, and I left spiritually humbled. When Priscilla dies I assume pork will quietly appear on the menu out of respect and fear.

Had lunch. Ordered veggie lasagne. $26 for half a kids serving. And a little salad. Wouldnt have paid $5 for it. Complete ripoff. Do they think Vegetarians are gullible. Sick of getting ripped off. Never will i eat there again, if i can call that i did eat.

Yelp
A nice pub to stop off at during your travels for a beer, but don't bother eating here. The food was expensive ($21 for a schnitzel) which would have been ok if it was an example of 'country cooking' as advertised, but it was a frozen McCain schnitzel with undercooked chips and lumpy gravy. Very disappointing. I would have been happy to just have a drink though, the location in the paddock is very relaxing on the old deck.
