"Vermouth, Potato Chips, and People Watching A midday vermouth is a Spanish weekend ritual, and Bar Txurrut’s picturesque terrace is the best spot for enjoying one. Smack in the middle of the Old Town, Txurrut sits in the fabled Plaza of the Constitution, one of the world's best places to watch the world go by. Grab a seat and order a vermouth, but make sure to order it 'preparado'. This will get you a martini glass of chilled artisan vermouth, doctored with a touch of bitters and a dash of Amaro, shaken and strained. A bag of potato chips, open and sitting in the middle of the table, and the scene is complete."

That’s five more pintxos bars tried now time to down tools and people watch. Two more cervezas later ready to finish off by getting some Txakoli from Aldi for the hotel room mini bar.

Nice place to appreciate the architecture of the plaza, with good service and affordable prices. The mojito is a must! Simple, but surprisingly well balanced. This place totally deserves 5 stars.

The location is lovely, but the pub itself pretty meh. The coffee was good, but the sangria was definitely more fruit juice than anything else. The waiter didn’t give us menus or say a word when we ordered. But it’s a chilled vibe and if you come across this Square and are looking for a quick coffee break there are certainly worse places to go (the chairs aren’t super comfortable so not a place to leisurely sit).

Nice place to sit outside and enjoy a drink or two with beautiful architecture around you. The square you see in front of you was once used for bull fighting with people watching from the balconies.

We ordered a beer and a coffee. Waitress was really hostile. Glared, said nothing and stormed off. Got the order wrong (came with 2 beers instead of 1 beer and a coffee) Whatever, fine. I've done the same job, I know what it's like. We didn't mind. Told her it wasn't right. She was totally furious, sighed then stormed off and maybe 25 mins later my coffee finally arrived. She said nothing. Plonked it down. Face screwed up in pure rage. I actually don't understand if you hate your life and job so much, why work in a customer facing role? You're going to see quite a lot of them, quite regularly. Weird!!
