Gorgeous beach with great snorkeling with lots of tropical fish and crystal clear water. Be aware that the current on some days is strong and some people walk down the beach and swim with the current and then swim to shore and walk back. Some areas are shallow above the coral so be careful. The coral is gorgeous!!

Nice, cozy beach, lots of parking, you can have a snack on the spot. The ocean floor is a bit rocky, if you have rubber slippers, it's better with them. The water is clean and transparent, even near the shore there are a lot of small fish. The beach is quite narrow.

This beach is a wonderful spot, especially for snorkeling enthusiasts. The lagoon is beautiful and full of marine life, making it a great place to explore underwater. Parking is easy and convenient, and the absence of a nearby road adds to the tranquility of the location. It’s calm, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing day by the water.

The beach is beautiful and the blue colour is amazing (also recommend viewing it from above at Toatea Point). However, taking away 1 star due to the swimming just being purely unsafe! I myself am a very strong experienced swimmer, and even with fins it was impossible to fight against the current!! It is dangerous, especially when the tide is coming in or if it is windy. Stay very close to the beach, and don’t swim with small kids or without flippers! You can see how strong the current is from my videos. Enter the water from the East side of the beach, and let the current take you floating down towards the Sofotel bungalows. The coral was nice and the water was clear. Saw quite a lot of fish, a few sharks, titan triggerfish.

Best beach and snorkeling in Moorea! It looks like a swimming pool, and the marine life is rich and colorful. There's a lot of current so fins are highly recommended.

Similar to other reviews - 5 stars for snorkeling the reef, 3 stars or less for the beach overall. The water is beautiful, the reef is beautiful, there is a ton of marine life to see. The current is strong, you'll need fins and to be a good swimmer to go against it at all. You can get into the water with fins and no beach shoes just across from the bathrooms. I would not recommend this as snorkel zone for beginners, but if you're comfortable in the water it's very nice. The beach itself - feels neglected, visible trash and broken glass, stray dogs and dog poop, and the entry road does not just have a few potholes, it is made of nothing but potholes, you can only drive 10kph in a regular car. The roads on an off-road ATV tour were better. This beach feels super run down compared to the other public beaches and it's unclear why such a beautiful spot is not better maintained by the authorities.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem of a beach while exploring the island and it became our "go to" place to catch a couple hours of sun, while providing us with views of water so beautiful it doesn't look real! It's a good spot to snorkel, and one day we were rewarded by seeing a migrating humpback breaching in the water just beyond the reef!
