The 10 Best Hotels in Bangkok, From High-Rise Suites to Riverside Stays | Vogue

"If the arrival of a Soho House—and an endless string of third-wave coffee shops and indie boutiques—is any indication, Sukhumvit Soi 31 has been sliding up the cool scale for years, and this Design Hotels member fits right in with eye-popping art, smart bedrooms, and an all-day cafe frequented by the district’s creative crowd. There’s a co-working space with a whisper-quiet podcast lounge, a Technogym-equipped fitness center, and bicycles on loan to explore nearby parks and khlongs on two wheels, plus a pool and restaurant. Keep an eye on the event calendar for free-for-all happenings, from DJ sets to workshops and quiz nights." - Chris Schalkx

Public House Hotel (Bangkok, Central Thailand) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"You can find anything your heart desires in Bangkok’s diverse Sukhumvit neighborhood: Korean restaurants, Indian tea shops, Cuban bars, even British-style boutique hotels. To be fair, chicken satay is served by the saltwater pool, and Thai DJs spin records on weekends at Public House Bangkok; but the social atmosphere and mid-century modern aesthetic feel remarkably like London or New York. Rooms and suites are compact and cool with parquet floors, eclectic modern art, Nespresso machines, and vintage-styled bathrooms lined in subway tile. But as the name suggests, it’s the hotel’s hip common spaces that set it apart, including a colorful co-working area, a podcast lounge, an all-day café and bar serving comfort food from an open kitchen, and a lively rooftop bar with views of the city skyline." - Tablet Hotels

I had the best possible stay at Public house - ideally located within walking distance of some amazing restaurants and markets and easy to catch transport into the city. I had SUCH a comfortable and spacious room with everything that I could have wanted. It was perfectly quiet and had a really good view of the city. I also really enjoyed the food - breakfast had so many vegan options and I also tried many other dishes for lunch and dinner and thought everything was tasty and made with good ingredients. Public house pays attention to every detail and there are so many perks to staying here including the rooftop pool - ideally located within for a sunny morning before hitting the city. I can’t wait to go back already!!!

The The Public House Hotel is a fairly newly opened design hotel within the Marriott group, and our experience here was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.||||From the very beginning, the team went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. We were able to store our luggage a full week in advance while travelling around Thailand, which was handled with absolutely no issues. They even organised our laundry service during that time, so we returned to clean, freshly washed clothes—a genuinely thoughtful and much-appreciated touch.||||Check-in was smooth and welcoming. We were greeted with a cold towel and a refreshing drink, perfect after arriving in Bangkok’s heat, and the front-of-house team made the process quick and effortless. We were also upgraded to a better room, which was a lovely surprise.||||The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed, with all the modern amenities you’d expect for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The design aesthetic throughout the hotel is excellent—stylish, contemporary, and very much in line with what you’d expect from a Marriott design property.||||Food is another real highlight. Breakfast offers a fantastic à la carte selection, and the dinner menu features a wide range of well-executed contemporary dishes. Everything we tried was excellent.||||Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to experience the bar or the rooftop pool and bar this time—but there will definitely be a next visit, and we’ll be making full use of those facilities then.||||The location is unbeatable. Set just slightly back from the main road, it feels calm and relaxed while still being incredibly central. There are great restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, a shopping mall about 10 minutes away on Sukhumvit Road, and plenty of excellent hair, beauty, nail, and facial spots nearby as well.||||Overall, this is a brilliant hotel with an exceptional team, fantastic design, and a superb location. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and will absolutely stay here again on our next return to Bangkok.

It’s a beautifully designed boutique hotel, and due to working remotely- it was set up with an amazing coworking area (with private booths for calls) available at all hours. A massive bed for a 6’3 human that was almost too spacious. We loved the pool and amazingly designed room service menu - the best coffee!! We really loved all the staff- Somu, Rubie, Izy, Zandie just to name a few were always so helpful friendly and fun! They were very accommodating, we were very comfortable we even extended our stay! We didn’t get to attend the quiz night but love all the little events they host during the week! We will come back for the amazing staff!

The location of the hotel was perfect. Close to all the shopping centres, food halls and restaurants. |The warm reception on arrival was lovely and the ambiance was spot on. |The rooms were very spacious with luxurious toiletries and the bed was sumptuous. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was superb. |The furnishings were very classy with much attention to detail. |The food was delicious and the breakfast was excellent. |The top floor had a gym, sun loungers and a swimming pool. |The staff were very professional, friendly and polite, so hardworking too. |A special mention to Izy and Som O on reception who were exceptional making calls to trace our lost baggage. |Although the hotel was great, it’s the friendly hardworking staff that make this hotel outstanding. |We’d definitely stay again

The stay was okay, but there are service issues. This is not a 5 star hotel. The gym and pool are underwhelming. I was upgraded to another floor but the room was twin beds, when I booked a king bed. It took about 20 minutes of back and forth to get on the same page about what I was asking for. The rooms on one side are very loud and on the other have a terrible view. Staff doesn’t speak great English which made things difficult at times. I booked via capital one travel which had free breakfast for 2 every morning. I got room service breakfast (the same menu that would be if I got breakfast in the lobby) and was told after checkout that my free breakfast doesn’t apply to room service. The location is not great either, as it takes about an hour each way to get to any sightseeing in Bangkok. They sent me the check in email after check out with neighborhood discounts, lol. For the above and other reasons, I would not stay here again. The only super positive thing I can say is that I did like the bed. The sheets were soft, big pillows great, and the bed itself comfortable. EDITED TO ADD: The manager emailed me and fixed the breakfast credit problem as a “courtesy”, so at least the customer service is decent.

I had the best time at Public House. I’ve stayed in many hotels across many cities and countries, and I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a stay as much as I did here. From the warm welcome and genuinely lovely staff to the great music, stylish décor, city skyline views, and convenient location—walkable to shops, restaurants, and public transport—everything exceeded my expectations. The rooms are beautifully designed and properly soundproofed, and the cocktails and food were outstanding. (Truly, the food! I never enjoy typical mass-produced hotel breakfasts, but here I looked forward to breakfast every single day.) Huge thanks to the wonderful team in SWD for the excellent food and cocktails (Chaya, Siri, Itim, and others), and to the front desk staff Ice and Cha. An extra-special thank you to Sai and Ruby, who came to my rescue after a Grab driver left me stranded at a gas station and marked the ride as complete. Their kindness, support, and help with filing a report through the app meant more than I can express. Grab incident aside, I absolutely fell in love with this hotel. If I’m ever in Bangkok again, I will 100% be staying at Public House.

The Public House Bangkok deserves every single one of its five stars. From the first hello, Ice, Ying, Eye, Namcha, Tubtim and the rest (!) of the amazing team made me feel completely at home — warm smiles, sincere attention, and that effortless Bangkok charm that stays with you. The rooms are spotless, smartly designed, and feel both stylish and comfortable. Beyond the lovely setting, it’s really the people (!) who make this place special. Ice and his colleagues turn hospitality into art. I had an amazing time here and will absolutely return. A truly wonderful experience — cosmopolitan, personal, and full of heart. Thank you guys!:)

We absolutely loved our stay at Public House Hotel! The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. The food and drinks are amazing, the hotel design is super cute and stylish and everything is very clean. The location couldn’t be better, close to great restaurants and cafés. We loved it so much that we actually changed our trip just to stay one more night in Bangkok; and of course, we came back to this hotel! Highly recommend!
