Public House Gastropub

The food was good we really liked the octopus but it was very small for the price. We loved the random decor throughout the restaurant. Our server was attentive without being too in your face.

Over all this experience was good. It wasn’t really amazing but it wasn’t just okay either. We didn’t have a reservation but we did get seated immediately. The problem was that I don’t think they had a server assigned for our table. It took a VERY long time to be served and multiple different servers came up to us throughout our meal asking us the same questions. They were all very kind but unfortunately they didn’t communicate well. The food was delicious! No complaints there the sliders bun was super fluffy! It did take a while to come out but they were very busy. Our fries were unfortunately forgotten we got them eventually. I would recommend but definitely try and make a reservation.

During a three-day trip to Iceland, someone recommended Public House Gastropub. I ate there at a little past 4pm on a Monday. There were very few people there, so I can't comment on the noise level, as my meal was quite quiet and calm. I thought the food was delicious. The service was excellent. The atmosphere of the restaurant is visually appealing. Once you acclimate to Reykjavik prices, for the level of delicious being offered at Public House Gastropub, it's really quite worth it. Enjoy!

Excellent choice to have dinner snacks dessert and drinks! Tuna tacos and sushi rolls were awesome! Our server from Berlin was friendly and welcoming. Cool vibes!

Grilled octopus was in main course but smaller than an appetizer for 30 dollars. Taste and place very average. Won't go back there

Came in for a late dinner tonight (around 10pm) after a day on the Golden Circle. Honestly the best meal we’ve had in quite a while - had about 7 different dishes and all were cooked, seasoned and presented beautifully. 10/10

Very good Atmosphere!! Service good. Food is good but somehow is too much sauce on food. Brunch with bottomless drink on weekend is recommended !!!

Stopped in for some late nite bites as there are not many restaurants in the area where the kitchen is open after 10PM. Food was very fresh and delicious. The Japanese fried chicken and the tempura tiger shrimp were delicious and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff that were attentive. Great drinks as well.
