"Published Art, Surry Hills by For the People. Look, we all love bookshops, right? But the few that are left can be a bit… quaint. Anachronistic. Not Published Art, though. It’s like stepping into an alternate dimension where bookshops embraced modernity. It has a clean, open, minimalist aesthetic. It only ever has the latest titles in stock, rather than stockpiling old (and irrelevant) material. And it has a laser sharp focus on the types of books it specialises in – design, architecture, art, fashion, typography and photography.Essentially, it’s a design bookshop designed for designers by designers. You’re going to want to have your credit card handy."
Incredibly unique and boutique styled bookshop. It's in fact more than a bookshop really, it's a place for collecting and creating things made for making art, that are made in a very artistic way. Everything from beautifully designed and created books, to knick-knacks, beautiful stationary and so much more that is too pretty to describe. You must check this place out for yourself, it's the perfect place to get really unique gifts you wouldn't find elsewhere in Sydney. Love it!

Owners are amazing. Looking for a book for so long and found it here, had an amazing chat with Rebecca who really helped out.
Would come back again, best in the area.

Some of my favorite topics to read about are Art, Architecture and Design and some of my favourite publishers are Phaidon, Thames & Hudson and Taschen. I am able to get my fix for all of these in this modern designed Surry Hills specialty bookshop. Each of the titles are displayed with the covers showing so that it is easy to scan the shop to find something that catches your eyes. I've also found books on branding and advertising (that relate to graphic design). We recently purchased a second Pau Arden book (to replace the one I gave away) and a beautiful Tachen book on Michelangelo. They carry the latest titles and Sharon, the store's owner, is also happy to order a book if it's not in stock. She's also great at recommending some local Surry Hills locations to eat and drink. I always leave this store creatively inspired and a new location to take our friends.
