Have had terrible interactions with the deli staff. I understand it can be very trying to service the public, but if that's your job description, that's your job description. Both times of these less than stellar encounters occurred when i have come in seeking breaded wings, which i now assume they no longer serve on the hot line, only in the mixed chicken boxes or platters or something. Anyway, a very rude african lady basically looking over my head when talking to me, eventually had to end up telling her how rude she was being, and no i wasn't coming at her with an attitude .just wanted the 5 wings special. 2nd encounter, same request, this time a Carribean man behind the counter. Looking mean and unfriendly as possible. I asked were any breaded wings going to be coming out. He answered, no with a stoney faced don't bother me with anything else, take what you see out or get out of here was his whole vibe. What's wrong with the deli section at Morrow's Publix???
Same scenario at the Fayetteville Publix. The lady was so sweet and accommodating, she just went to the back & got me 5 pieces and served them to me. Yes, i will now drive 17 minutes out of town to a store with employees that get what customer service means, rather than use one around the corner basically from my home where you end up being made to feel like you are a nuisance and pretty much i hate you & possibly my job too ( because that's what's screaming from your non verbal behavior & mannerisms). I did bring it to a manager's attention the first time ;& she was looking at me as i was relaying the details like i was the problem, which i was not, but i did notice once when in the store, after the incident that the rude lady was on the sandwich side now...Lord help those customers if she hasn't had an attitude adjustment. And i didn't bother to report the hateful looking guy. I get it, leave that deli section alone until a new face is behind the counter. Or just leave them alone period.... Think i'll go with that.
