Pudong Shangri-La

This hotel has truly exceeded my expectations in every way from the perfect location, luxurious ambiance to the insanely impeccable service. My 5 days 4 nights stay at the Pudong Shangri-la has been tremendously comfortable and memorable. My room was well equipped and situated at high floor with great scenic river and bund view. Housekeeping was amazingly quick and efficient every time a service request was made. A very special mention to Mr Kenny Ooi, an assistant front office manager who heads the Horizon Club Lounge whose service was truly outstanding. He really went above and beyond to make sure every single detail was well taken care of with absolute warmth and professionalism. His immense dedication and hospitality really made my stay a truly unforgettable experience, or from here on, I shall call it the true essence of the "Shangri-La Experience".

Every team member was courteous, attentive, and eager to assist.||I would especially like to highlight Manager Kenny and his team at the Horizon Club Lounge. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and well cared for, creating a memorable experience.||I also like to commend the concierge team for their outstanding service. Their warmth and willingness to assist truly enhanced my stay.||Thank you all for making my visit a pleasant one.

I would give Shangri-La Pudong, Shanghai a 4-star rating. The overall stay was good, but there are a few areas that can be improved. The towels could be cleaner, as some had light stains. However, the food was delicious—especially the in-room dining options. Though a bit pricey (around 1,000 SGD for five days), we understand that hotel food often comes with higher prices, so that's expected and not a major complaint. One thing to note is the waiting time for in-room dining—it can take between 45 minutes to an hour, so a little more speed in service would be appreciated. I would like to highlight the room cleaner—she was very kind and truly hardworking. She made sure our room was always clean and comfortable, and her dedication didn’t go unnoticed. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. With a few improvements, this hotel could easily earn a perfect 5 stars. Thank you, Shangri-La Pudong, for the warm hospitality.

The room was very spacious with amazing views of Huangpu River and Shanghai skyline. The bed was super comfortable and housekeeping did an excellent job keeping everything clean. However, the hotel facilities are getting old and could use some updates. The biggest problem I noticed was the slow drainage in both shower and bathtub - water didn't flow out quickly which was a bit annoying. Didnt request for a change of room as it was cumbersome to repack and move with a toddler. The service was really great - all staff were very helpful and professional. Breakfast had lots of tasty options to choose from. The location in Pudong is perfect for both business and sightseeing. I especially liked that they have Meituan locker service which made receiving food deliveries very convenient. I would rate it 4 stars - very nice hotel with excellent service but could be even better with some facility upgrades. I would recommend staying here, especially for the great location and helpful staff.

We have stayed at the ShangriLa Pudong many times over the years and have always had amazing stays. Especially the breakfast buffet, location, friendliness of the staff and overall atmosphere are great. One remark from this stay is that we were looking forward to using the pool, however, it is now mandatory to use a bathing cap. Since this was not stated on the hotels webpage, we did not bring one and the option for us early in the morning in our swimming attire was to purchase the 69¥ cap from the hotel. We did not end up using the pool for our stay. So be sure to bring your own cap.

This hotel feels dated. Our room smelt strongly of must and smoke. The whole place could do with a deep clean and refresh. Walls and fittings were worn and dirty. The level of courtesy and service from the staff also falls far below somewhere like the Fairmont Peace hotel. We carried our bags ourselves and were not shown to our room for example. Os a positive note, breakfast was good with huge variety.

We celebrated a birthday in Pudong and picked Shangri-La as an impromptu destination. It was a Perfect location for leisure and nice dining. The staff was also kind enough to offer a complimentary birthday drink and fruit. The room had a Nice open view balanced between the city and the river. The Cozy bedding was good, too. The final visit to the jazz bar was really nice. The bar had THE VIEW, and the staff were very friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We enjoyed the stay. We Will definitely come back next time.

I loved the room—it was so large and spacious (aioned) but very, very comfortable. It had a great view— little old-fasheverything was perfect. Loctaion is superb opp the waterfront, next to IFC and another mall. Great choice of restsaurants oposite facing the waterfront - amazing Italian, spanis, middle easter food, very helpful concierge. Amazing gym I even had a haircut! - the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for service was housekeeping was not careful to check (my hand wash got over during the stay they didn't refill, the amenities shower gel shampooo etc smelt vey artificial.) it okay quality but fragrance was artificial) and they didnt replace my laundry bag, slippers and also after I ironed one day they just left the board outside without folding it up back in the cupboard.  That small niggle aside I would give it 4.8 out of 5 and will love to come back here always highly recommended
