Puente Romano Marbella

There are countless high-quality amenities, all thoughtfully provided and maintained to the highest standards. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a perfect night’s sleep. A luxurious hotel that exceeds expectations in every detail — highly recommended.

I had an amazing stay with my 6-year-old daughter at Puente Romano Marbella! Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The breakfast was outstanding, with a huge (!!!) variety of delicious options to choose from each morning. Even in late November, we were able to enjoy the heated pools — all three of them!|My daughter absolutely loved the kids club (extra charge). It was open from 10:00 to 16:00 and offered swimming lessons, art activities, movies. |Regarding sports I unfortunately didn’t use the gym, but I did attend Pilates (they have one class on Thursdays included in price) — and I especially enjoyed Aitors class.|The staff were really helpful, they assisted me right away whenever I needed anything, just one text message away. ||Overall, I really recommend Puente Romano hotel. I've been to Marbella many times and stayed in a lot of different places, but this vas really the best place so far. A beautiful hotel with exceptional service, can't wait to return.

The best word I can use to describe our experience is "Wow!" We stayed this weekend from Friday to Sunday because I and my sister were treating ourselves to a bit of quiet bliss. We took a cabify there; from the beginning, Lola was the sweetest person ever; she inquired about our flight and offered us drinks on the house. She guided us to the sites to see and explained with a lovely humor what was in store for us. After this wonderful start, we were driven to our, room C22, and the sight left us speechless; our room was huge and fully equipped. There was nothing missing! A lovely fruit platter and some delightful sweets awaited us. We unwound for a while, enjoying and resting, and after a while went for a stroll to discover. I was amazed by the garden and the creek that bordered the whole place; it was like a live fairy tale. |The next day we had breakfast. There was anything and everything I could wish for. I asked for scrambled eggs made right there to order also had delicious fruits and cold-pressed juice. All this, of course, with the best view of the beach. |After what felt like an infinite breakfast, we went to the beach to relax and enjoy the sun. We sat at the hotel's sun loungers, and the assistant was so nice.||We came back to our room, and there was a lovely lady opening our bed, and she gave us waters and chocolate bonbons—just delicious!||The rest of our stay passed so fast because we were in cloud nine in amazement. There's no word left to describe this experience. I tried my best to do it justice, but it just needs to be experienced.||Thank you very much to Lola and the housekeeping team; your dedication and care made our little escape memorable! ♥️

We stayed at Puente Romano for a week, and overall it is a mixed experience. Some areas truly impressed us, while others fell short for a resort of this calibre. Firstly, what an amazing resort. You really feel like you are walking through a botanical garden. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere is serene and luxurious. The restaurants are outstanding, and the breakfast selection can easily satisfy even the pickiest eaters. The facilities, including the pools, tennis club, and beach, were all excellent, and we genuinely enjoyed spending time around the property. However, the room experience was disappointing. For a hotel of this standard, I expected more attention to detail. The handheld shower head is mounted far too low, which means you are forced to use the rainfall shower instead. Unfortunately, the water temperature between the two was very different, with the handheld being much hotter, which was uncomfortable when switching. The bathtub showed visible signs of wear and even some mould, so we decided not to use it. The towel rail setup is also poorly thought out, as there are only two hooks, both used for bathrobes, leaving nowhere to hang towels. The steamer and board were a nice touch, but there was nowhere practical to set them up. The coffee cups in the room were very pretty, but they did not fit the coffee machine, which made it almost impossible to use without spilling. One night, we had a terrible experience when our room key stopped working at around 1 a.m. I had to walk to reception, after a few drinks, to reactivate the card, but when I returned, it still did not work. After calling the hotel and being transferred twice, concierge eventually sent someone with a new card about 25 minutes later. The receptionist’s handling of the situation was shockingly poor. Another issue was the language barrier. For a five-star resort that hosts international guests, I expected staff to have a reasonable level of English. On multiple occasions, I had to repeat myself several times for simple requests such as asking for a buggy at checkout. A mix-up at the tennis club was particularly frustrating, as I booked two padel courts but was told I had booked a tennis lesson instead. Lastly, service at Six Senses breakfast one morning was chaotic. After being seated, we asked three different staff members for coffee. It took around 15 minutes before it finally arrived, twice. I understand that breakfast can get busy, but either more staff or better coordination would make a big difference. Overall, Puente Romano is a stunning resort with world-class facilities and dining, but the service inconsistency and room maintenance issues really let it down. With a few improvements in staff training and attention to detail, it could truly live up to its five-star reputation.

This is a truly elegant and luxurious resort property with wonderful facilities, a plethora of dining choices, 3 pools, and a breakfast buffet that greatly exceeds any buffet that you can conceive of! |[OK, I admit I don’t know the limits of your creativity. I’m pretty much going off my own buffet experiences as a former travel columnist along with my former career as a screenwriter — so, sure, I could conceive of a buffet in which the carving table is manned by trained tigers, and your coffee is delivered by singing tap dancing robots, but food-wise, this is top shelf.]||Our exceptional experience began at the front desk where we were greeted by Daniella Davis and Lola (I did not her last name). She told us about the options at the resort, the breakfast buffet (did I mention the buffet?) and sundry amenities. Luis Miguel expertly handled our bags and whisked us to our room. ||As a walker (sadly, no longer a runner — knees and back, you know how it is) I was quite pleasantly surprised by the wide promenade that runs along the beach for 10-20km in both directions (east - west, I suppose. As for km, American reference I walked at least 5 mi in either direction with a lot more beach I could have walked along). The promenade is either compacted dirt or paved and covered in a minimal layer of fine sand — the result is a comfortable walking surface (knees and back, remember) that accesses several beach clubs and restaurants… but why dine anywhere outside of the Puente Romano?||Before I get into the dining, I do want to acknowledge that integrated in the property there is an actual “puente romano” datong to the first century (BCE or CE, I cannot remember, but either way it is much older than any bridge I have encountered in the US). ||Dining: from pizza and hotdogs to Lebanese to omakase Japanese (and so much more) your choices seem inexhaustible. ||A word of caution: it’s expensive. So, I recommend using a card that will give you points for your favorite loyalty program or at minimum cash back. ||If you want luxury, this is a good spot.

Really nice spot. Nice staff, very friendly. Room depends on the specific location in the resort. We had a very good suite with sea view. Very nice. World class breakfast!! You can even stuff your fresh croissant with various stuffings like apricot marmelade. Great egg preparation station. And much more that you can‘t find in other 5 star hotels!! Beach is fantastic, wonderful chiringuito close by, kilometers beach promenade, far away from any traffic. Just great!!!

The place is beautiful. It almost feels like being in the Maldives when you walk around in the greenery. Hotel is built as a spanish village with walkways and small "streets" lined with restaurants and bars. The Plaza feels like an actual "plaza" when you sit in the open air and have a drink or something to eat. The beach is nice, but with dark sand and some parts with stones. But the water is cristal clear. The Sea Grill restaurant where the breakfast (and lunch and dinner) are served is amazing and such a nice location just by the beach/ocean. The Breakfast had EVERYTHING you could ever ask for, I can't think of anything that was missing. there are sooo many berries, so much fruit, such good pancakes, live cooking station for all kinds of eggs you want. The bread is delicious and home made in the resort. |The only thing that disappointed me was that the kids club is charged. and it is expensive.

World class resort, we had an amazing weekend from start to finish, despite it raining cats and dogs all|Saturday. Would happily come back many times. Breakfast is sublime. Scenery beautiful. Restaurants very solid. Had a great dinner at Coya and at Leña.

Where else can you see former U.S. Open Tennis Champ Patrick Rafter jogging on the beach? Well, if you're in the Costa del Sol and staying at the Puente Romano like I was, you may just see a few super famous people. After all, this is the Spanish Riviera home to the rich and famous (Antonio Banderas is from here). I was so lucky to get a picture with the Aussie (he just didn't know that he was in the picture-he was more like in the background. Was he photo bombing?). Nonetheless, its a great story to tell right? So anyway, my mother-in-law highly recommended this hotel that sits along the coast and I was not prepared for such an exciting time in such a fabulous city and in such a rustic yet luxurious hotel. We drove here from Malaga and you knew you were in Spain with all the terra-cotta rooftops and the white structures juxtaposed along the Mediterranean Sea. All things Spanish were enjoyed on this trip and the hotel surely made the experience worth while! We had a fruit basket that was delivered to our room in a ceramic colored bowl, which I took home (oops, was I suppose to leave it?) In our room we had a balcony that faced a pond full of swans. In the morning, we wrapped ourselves in a cozy plush white robe and had room service delivered. We enjoyed the most amazing breakfast! We still talk about it as one of our best. Can you say, Churros y Chocolate! My mouth is watering just thinking about how warm and chocolately... almost like warm chocolate pudding. How many times can I say chocolate? Service incredible, food to die for, location optimum. Please add this to your bucket list! So much more to tell you about this trip. Flamenco, Bullfights, Sangria! Ole!

The Puente Romano is right on the water in a spendy area of Spain's Costa Del Sol. We'd never been to the Costa Del Sol during the summer, so we decided to go big or go home. In hindsight, we probably overshot. Highlights included the slightly insane complementary breakfast buffet at Sea Grille that included unlimited high quality charcuterie (gotta love the Spanish breakfasts!) the beach location as an introduction to Marbella, and a dinner we ate at El Chiringuito Puente Romano, right on the water. Service here is excellent, and all the employees, particularly the concierge and bell staff at the Puente Romano were terrific. There is one pool (the Nobu pool) that is off limits to hotel guests who aren't staying at the Nobu part of Puente Romano, which isn't clear. Getting turned away from a pool at a hotel you are staying at is an odd, unpleasant feeling, and it seems they should let guests know this when checking in to save them from this. All other pools and beach access are not an issue. While we like a beautiful looking property, the daily rate here is absolutely ridiculous. The room we had was clean but it was surprisingly dated in terms of it's interior decor, particularly the tile floors and the old school bathrooms and it didn't closely approximate the decor of rooms shown online or the modern common areas. Its not a place we would likely come again, but it was a fun (if not somewhat regrettable) splurge. The location is fantastic.

Puente Romano is a great place. The beach front property boasts so many things to do.

A nice hotel, right on the water. Definitely a Mediterranean influence on furnishings in the room, esp. the tiling and whatnot. My room was long and narrow, overlooking the pool area. Very clean, nicely but not overly opulently furnished (smaller tv, limited minibar, but a huge bathroom and walk-in closet). As a bonus, my room had a massive walkout deck, probably the biggest on the property and maybe 700 SF by itself. Unfortunately, there was both some construction on my visit (November, off-season) and substantial room-to-room noise transfer, which was both surprising and disappointing. Didn't really experience much of the hotel's amenities, but what I saw looked very nice, as is the proximity to the water.

My daughter brought me here based on her travel agent's high recommendation. The location is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. However, we had a toilet that had to be flushed 3-4 times per use. Even worse, we had to sleep on the most uncomfortable beds that were on rollers. Every time we got in, they felt like they were going to collapse. Also, we woke up every morning with back aches. For nearly $1,000 per night, this was simply unacceptable. They changed out the beds and they were slightly better, but they are simply not comfortable beds especially for a luxury hotel.

Amazing location. This area of Marbella is a bit isolated and so you should expect to stay at a good resort that you are not planning on leaving. There is an amazing town that is a "city in the sky" that is worth taking a drive to. The rooms at this hotel are a bit outdated but it is beach front. Be careful with the mini bar because it can add up very quickly. The pools on the property are small but it is good for families and those in the mood to lounge around and be leisurely. They also have a beach area where you can lay in sun chairs and get service for food and drinks. There are several restaurants on the property with good food but nothing that really makes you go "OMG THIS IS THE BEST." If you attend the morning breakfast there is free flowing champagne and a large selection of food.

I wasn't sure what to expect and I'm glad I didn't have my hopes too high. It was just ok. The breakfast buffet was lovely and the staff there was wonderful. The rest of the facilities were fine, but the construction going on made it difficult to enjoy. Some of the cleaning and construction staff made us feel like intruders. The religious chanting broadcast from across the street to the entire area was loud and unappreciated. The location is amazing. The weather didn't cooperate so we were unable to fully enjoy the beach. For some, this might be THE place to go, but I will not be coming back.

It was great staying at this hotel. The location was amazing and the front desk were really friendly. The room was spacious and the best thing was that bowl of fruits we found in the room. Mangos, dates, berries, apples, banana, kiwi...etc! The terrace was awesome that you could tan in there. Definitely a great stay.

Lovely and trendy place to spend the weekend or just a nice night on the town. Beautiful grounds with a lovely summer terrace for cocktails. Restaurant Dani Garcia is amazing but very pricey...good option for a special occassion. Bibo is a nice tapas bar with beautiful small bites. Great service all around and beautiful people.
