Our recent stay at this Pullman was unfortunately disappointing and did not live up to the expectations of a 4-star hotel, especially compared to other Pullman properties we have stayed in.
Upon arrival, the lady at the reception initially asked us to pay an incorrect amount. Only after we pointed it out did she recheck and confirm that we were right. While this was corrected, it didn’t set the best first impression. On the positive side, the reception staff overall were welcoming and friendly.
The hotel itself is old and in need of renovation.
Being inside the train station is convenient, but the area just outside is dirty and unpleasantly smelly.
The room was dated, with visible stains and wear. It was also missing amenities that were promised. For example, coffee capsules were provided but there was no machine. Shower robes were missing. We were told the minibar was complimentary, yet all we found was one bottle of water. When we asked, we were told it’s only water, but even then another bottle was missing.
Breakfast was the weakest part of the stay. The options were extremely limited and unappetizing. The cheeses looked dry and old, the fruits were saggy, and the tea selection was poor (a small box with a few generic tea bags). Coffee was inconsistent – while the Nespresso machine was fine, the other coffee machine tasted cheap and strange. We also asked about halal options; one staff member incorrectly told us there was halal meat, but thankfully another staff corrected him and clarified there wasn’t any. By the last day, I couldn’t bring myself to eat breakfast again.
Overall, this Pullman fell far below expectations and it makes it difficult to consider this hotel a true 4-star experience.
