This is a family hotel located on the Mandalieu strip. Whilst is is not new, it has been refreshed a bit to the location and Pullman style, with interesting and kitschy artwork. It has valet parking, its own pool and a big breakfast for its guests.| |Rooms are neat and clean with comfortable beds, generous towels, and amenities (cotton buds, shower caps etc). They are not extraordinarily designed, but utilitarian and comfortable for a summer holiday. Rooms facing the water are lovely and sunny so you can enjoy the view for hours on your balcony. Housekeeping staff are efficient, and helpful too.| |Valet parking was easy and costs €22 per day – seldom had to wait more than a few minutes for the car which was nice. Restaurants open late (the outside Blue Lemon bar) which was nice for us to have a late dinner although service took a bit of time.| |Breakfast was nice, with a lot of options hot and cold, grilled pineapple and apples which was a treat for us, and nice jams and honey (vs the industrial stuff). Turnaround of tables was understandably slow during the crazy hours but the dining room was big enough to manage.| |Reception was helpful and accommodating, helping with any questions or details. It’s a shame the balcony next to the reception was not open as it would have been a nice place to sit. The only complaint about the hotel is that the lifts can be a bit slow so we walked a few times. Whilst the hotel is not new or luxurious, it is very comfortable for a summer holiday. Guests were of all types, families, couples, groups of friends. Did not notice any tour groups.||Summer prices can be steep but no worse than other places in the area. Having available parking and the amenities, access directly to the beach is unique and close walk to the restaurant makes it worth it. Gave it 5 stars as it is a solid offering in the area.

Very disappointed with this hotel . Lots of extras charged including sunbeds even those on the hotel premises . The sunbeds currently cost 40 euros per person per day. The beds are open for rental to the general public which means they are often taken as the area around the pool is not that large . The staff appear very miserable every where especially around pool and service is definitely not with a smile. I found it difficult to open the gate to the pool after my swim and asked the lifeguard who was lying on a sunbed near me for help and he was extremely rude and reluctant to help. But what totally ruined my experience was that a rat kept running up and down where the sunbeds were and when my husband got up to go for a swim it ran on to my sunbed and onto my arm an experience not easily forgotten. I reported it to the manager who said there was nothing they could do about it they lived in the rocks but this particular rat seemed to live in a bush next to a row of sunbeds on the hotel premises but he didn’t seem interested . The reception staff were an exception to my statement about the staff and were pleasant and helpful.

We chose this hotel for our honeymoon. Aside from the fact that for such amount of money (and previously mentioning it), at least some romantic gesture waiting for us in the room would have been nice to have... The room itself was spacious and clean, the bathroom got clogged but it was fixed quickly. The lady at the reception desk who checked us in was very nice. However, the extra charge for sunbeds for members (after paying more than 350 EUR/night) just ruined the mood, since we picked the hotel assuming those facilities would be available for us without extra charge. The food was tasty at the pool caffe, however, the breakfast buffet was lacking fresh vegetables or salad. The beach is nice but gets overcrowded as it is for public use. We expected more from the Pullman-chain.

We had booked only two nights here, planning to extend our stay if it went well. Thankfully, we didn’t. The service was absolutely terrible from start to finish.||We arrived one day at around 10:00 PM. The hotel advertises that the restaurant is open until 10:30 PM, and that outside there are still chefs working until 11:00 or even 11:30 PM, plus room service. So, naturally, we went to the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were told they had decided to close early “because it was empty.” We then went to the outside area where the chefs were supposedly still working. Instead of being welcomed, we were stared at and ignored by staff passing by. When we finally managed to speak to someone, they told us they had already closed at 10:00 PM because there were only two chefs working that day.||We explained we hadn’t eaten and asked where we could get food. The answer? “I can’t do anything for you.” We suggested ordering something from outside and eating it at the hotel since we were hungry and had nowhere else to go at that hour. The response was shocking: they told us if we brought outside food in, they would call security and have us thrown out. They even said, word-for-word, that if we wanted to eat, we could “eat it on the sidewalk outside the hotel” because “as long as you’re not in the hotel, we don’t care.” Completely disrespectful.||In the end, we literally had to sit outside the hotel to eat.||The next day, we had a massage booked. We arrived exactly on time, only to be told the masseur “wasn’t there.” Not because he called in sick — they just didn’t bother to inform us. When we asked why they didn’t notify us earlier, the staff said, “I forgot.” This is beyond unprofessional.||Throughout our stay, we were often ignored at dining areas, including breakfast. Staff seemed uninterested in helping guests, and they even tried to add extra charges to our bill.||Overall, this is one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. Rude, unhelpful staff, no accountability, and no respect for guests. We were planning to extend our stay, but after this experience, we couldn’t leave fast enough.

Unfortunately, we were very unhappy with our stay at this hotel. We have experienced the following issues: * One of the reasons we booked this hotel was for the pool. However, when we arrived, we were told that a pool chair will cost 30 Euro per person. This was not noted on the website or during the reservation. There was no space around the pool to sit on our towels, so if we didn’t pay for the chairs we couldn’t sit by the pool. We were not prepared to pay an extra 60 Euros just for the chairs, especially when the hotel price is already quite high for a 4-star hotel. So in the end we couldn’t use the pool. * The room was facing a busy road and there was a lot of noise from the road, even late into the night and early on a Sunday morning. As a result, I didn’t sleep well at all, and was woken up at 7:00am from the noise. It felt more like a hotel in the middle of a busy city, than a beach side hotel as presented on your website. If there is such a loud road next to the hotel, there should be much better insulation on the windows. * There was also a lot of noise from people walking in the room above us. The rooms don’t have proper carpets so there is nothing to dampen the noise. You should have proper carpets or better noise insulation on the floors/ceilings. * We wanted to eat at the restaurant in the evening, but there were no vegetarian main course options at all!!! They served a vegetarian pizza and a vegetarian pasta at the bar, but they said they couldn’t serve them at the restaurant. So we couldn’t eat at the restaurant which really ruined our visit. This is not acceptable these days, there should be at least one vegetarian main course option! * We wanted to sit on the terrace in our room, but it said we had to leave the door open as otherwise it would lock behind us and we couldn't get back in. However, there was no fly screen, and we didn’t want flies and mosquitos to get into the room (especially as there is currently a health alert about diseases carried by mosquitos in the area), so we couldn’t sit outside on the terrace. * Although the room decor was nice, some of the furniture and fixtures were a bit old and worn out, not what we would expect at a hotel of this level. * There was only one chair in the room to sit by the table. So when we ordered room service, one of us had to sit on the sofa chair, which was much lower and it was not very easy to reach the table and eat while sitting on it. If you offer room service and expect people to eat in the room you should provide two chairs. * On the website it said the TV in the room offers pay-per-view movies. However, no such service was available. In short, the quality of the hotel was not what we would expect from a 4-star hotel that is so well-presented on the website, especially at this room price.

Pullman Canned Mandelieu is a superbly located hotel, 15 minutes drive from La Croisette in Cannes. I am frequent guest of this hotel (over 25 years), and have witness many changes over the years, not all for the better - unfortunately... The property itself is a bit outdated, but as I understood, there is a plan for a major upgrade within the next year. As for the beach, it remains clean with clear water, however climate changes are perfectly noticeable. The sea is eating up sand beach, but is still a wonderful place to be. Service (as for beds reservation at the pool and beach, requires more attention. I booked 15 days before a specific beach bed, and it was not honored. Had to change place every day during my over a week stay. Food offer at the pool does not offer many choices, and has not changed over the years. As for the staff, everyone tries their best to fell us welcomed, but pool staff changes every year... My special thanks goes to Marie Voyer, in charge of Marketing and Guest Experience for her kindness over the years! I strongly recommend this hotel, which still has a casino access on the ground floor, and I felt it is "out of place".

It was clearly stated on your website that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, by the pool, or on the beach. We specifically chose this hotel because of that rule. But it was absolutely not enforced. This was clearly not just an accident — we saw dogs inside the restaurant every single day, during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Staff were even bringing them water bowls, which is fine if pets are actually welcome in those areas. But then you shouldn't advertise the opposite policy. Your own website states the following, word for word: "Good to know: Pets are welcome in the rooms (maximum of two per room). However, they must be kept on a leash in common areas and are not allowed in the restaurant, bar, pool, or beach for everyone’s comfort. Additional fee: €20/night per pet." That is crystal clear — no room for interpretation. But worst of all: In the middle of the day on a Wednesday, a stripper was performing in the shared space between the pool and the elevator to the lobby. This is absolutely outrageous and completely unacceptable at a hotel that markets itself to families with children. What kind of place allows that?

I had a wonderful stay! The room was beautiful, the view was stunning, and the location was perfect. I really enjoyed swimming in the sea and having breakfast with a view — everything made my stay very memorable.
