Yelp
This is just a high-quality hotel.
On just about every level, they are doing it right. The bed is excellent, the shower pressure is adjustable and runs the gamut from dribble to monsoon (something for everyone). The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the concierge is actually helpful. The location is pretty central; there's a gigantic mall (the Pavilion) across the street, Bukit Bintang is a short walk away, and there's a ridiculously tasty chicken shawarma shop called Al Siddiq along the way. Go there.
Plus, they don't allow durian, which means you know this joint is classy.
All that aside, I want to talk about the breakfast buffet. Kuala Lumpur is in Malaysia (obviously), so it has that common mix of Indian, Chinese, and Malay. Plus, it's a decently cosmopolitan city, so they get a solid amount of Europeans, Japanese, and even a few dim but still devastatingly good-looking Americans.
I'm telling you all this because judging by their breakfast buffet, the Pullman Hotel feels like they have to cater to EVERYONE. There is so much food here.
I'm talking congee with a dozen condiment options, dim sum samplers, dhaal, vadai, poha, shrimp vermicelli, nasi goreng kampung, nasi lemak, sambal sotung, and ayam tumis (I know what some of those words mean). They've got beef bacon and beef sausage (no pork in this majority Muslim city), an omelette station, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, miso soup, tofu, Japanese rice, a juicing station, and a full salad bar. There's sliced meats and cheeses, a full selection of pastries, and a pancake station with kaya toast AND French toast.
It's really an impressive and somewhat worrisome (if any of it goes to waste) amount of food, and most of it is actually pretty good. If you can't find something to eat here for breakfast, you don't like food.
Anyway, I'd stay here again.
