Pullman Maldives Maamutaa, All-Inclusive Resort

We spent the past week here for our honeymoon, and all I can say is that this trip was incredible on every level. My husband booked the ocean pool suite villa and some nights on the beach pool villa.. and both experiences were immaculate. Both villas had complete privacy & we felt comfortable the entire time. We also got an in villa breakfast to enjoy outside on our balcony, which was so fresh & delicious. The restaurants on this island all had a delicious variety & we enjoyed each spot. It also felt nice that they offered a health breakfast spot, some days we hit and early morning workout & headed to sol rising after for breakfast.. which kept us feeling refreshed for the day. Lets not forget the excursions, and the wonderful service we received throughout our whole stay. We got to go jet skiing, fishing, kayaking & snorkelling .. and every day felt like a new exciting experience. One of my favourites was sunset fishing .. we caught two fish & got to eat them the next day for lunch! Everything about this resort exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely consider coming back in the future!☺️

Start with the positive The natural beauty is stunning and the rooms are fantastic, we stayed in an overwater villa and it was beautifully appointed, great bathroom. Drinks good ( although they refuse to change anything so unless you like Coke and Sprite it is wasted.... and this is where the favourite word of the island comes into use "No". No this is the package, no changes, you can rent bikes, no sorry none available ( each day we went and there were at least 10 bikes but we could not rent them) They told us we were 10th in the queue then 5th then the next day 6th, it was a shambles. Can we make a booking in the vegetarian restaurant? No its full ( every night ). Spoke to other guests who said it was not they just dont want people there, they push them to the buffet ( it has good food but gets a bit same same after lunch and dinner multiple times ). Then there are the water sports, these guys are another level of No, they lie around on the chairs on their phones doing as little as possible. We dropped a paddle part, instead of helping they refused to give us another paddle ( the paddle broke ) with a 12 year old girl floating away on a SUP, seriously incompetent. Apparently we had not signed a waiver for more than one paddle...! really ? Apparently they were worries about us stealing a paddle. Souq Oven restaurant - food was nice, staff lovely but very very slow service. Good spot for healthy breakfast and good coffee. Some lovely staff in the restaurants who try very hard but overall it is a poor experience. Jet Skiing ? $USD 260 for 30 minutes massage $ 260 for the cheapest option We did not see anyone doing either of these, assume because the prices were so unreasonable. The included wine is average, if you want to buy a bottle champagne it is $400 ..... Would I go back ? not a chance, it is beautiful but increadibly poorly run. Plenty of other beautiful island in the Maldives where their favourite word is not "No"

We had the most amazing stay at the Pullman. The service was of a high standard. The restaurants were lovely, and the food was delicious. Shout out to Chef Krishna, who was so friendly and welcoming. He greeted us each morning with a beautiful smile and a freshly made Dosa! Must try! The Dive Team were so professional and organised for our Discovery Dive. Jessica was so calm and professional in her approach. The Fishing Tour and Turtle Snorkel were a lot of fun, and the staff were always there to help. The only part that I thought could improve was the food availability. You couldn't order any food out of the meal service (12pm-2pm) (dinner 7pm). This was a little frustrating if you were at the bars or poolside, since there was no food option. Even a little "help yourself" in Melange with rice rolls or sandwiches, or even the ability to pay for some poolside snacks. We found the 2-7 pm time frame too long to wait, and we often went to Saffron just to eat the tapas at 4pm because we were so hungry. They do have room service, but we didn't spend much time in the room, and the meals and prices were quite substantial. I would definitely recommend the Pullman! We would go back in a heartbeat!

From the moment we arrived the service was impeccable staff were so courteous and went above and beyond in every aspect. Our room was spectacular and was always perfectly cleaned and stocked. A special shout out to Moin, Nazeem, Kola, and especially Armicca. Always made us feel so special. The fitness classes were so fun and inclusive. Maria was simply amazing. Also our yoga instructor who I didn’t catch her name was so great. The water was beautiful and clean, never any rubbish to be seen anywhere, staff constantly working whether cleaning paths, pruning gardens, the pastry chefs were simply amazing, I didn’t catch their names. It was truly amazing to see them work. Every restaurant was five star the food never the same at the buffet. Absolutely could not be happier with our stay. Highly highly recommend.

Our honeymoon at the Pullman Maldives Maamutaa was hands-down the best experience of our lives! From the moment we arrived, the vibe was pure tropical magic—it’s the perfect blend of high-end luxury and total island fun. We spent our days sipping world-class cocktails, indulging in the most incredible food we’ve ever had (the all-inclusive deal here is on a whole different level!), and soaking up the stunning views from our villa. Whether we were snorkeling in the crystal-clear water or just lounging under the sun, every second felt like a celebration. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special as newlyweds, adding those extra personal touches that made the trip unforgettable. If you want a honeymoon that’s equal parts adventurous, romantic, and a total blast, this is the place to be. We’re already dreaming of our anniversary trip back!

TLDR: it's nice, but I wouldn't go back there. This is not our first time in the Maldives, so we couldn't help but compare with our previous experience. The good: - beautiful snorkeling area, this is the best we saw so far in the Maldives. We saw more tortoises than before and coral reef is great, relatively close to the shore and safe to reach. There are no currents in the area. - the food was very good. We went more for the local cuisine, curries, dosas, soups, etc. We didn't try European food. The desserts were OK, not the best, but enough to satisfy a sweet tooth. - The room was great. We had the ocean villa, but be aware it's not recommended to dive into the water near the villa due to water currents. The not so good: - getting here is time consuming. You need to take a domestic flight from Male to Koodoo island and then a short speedboat ride to get to the hotel. The flight schedule is unreliable. It was delayed by 1.5h when we came here. The worse part is that it was delayed by 2h when we left and we almost missed our flight back from Male. I wouldn't recommend this kind of transfer under these circumstances. - the designated beach/sunbathing area is limited to 20% of the entire island. This is where the 20 sunbeds for the entire hotel are placed. Other sunbeds are placed by the pool, but I didn't come to the Maldives to sit there. And this is where the only bar is placed. If you want to sit at the beach on some other area of the island, you'll have to take a towel and your own bottle of water as there's no other place for hydration. In our previous holidays in the Maldives, most of the island was setup for sunbathing with sunbeds, small beach bars with drinks and snacks and we were able to move around with the sun if we wanted. - It was difficult to find towels by the pool in the morning. And this is while the pool was officially open (as per schedule). We struggled with this problem a couple of days in the row and then we started carrying our own towels from the room just to be able to go to the beach first thing in the morning while the sun was not so strong. - the dining area is too small for the size of the hotel. We were a group of 6, and it was often difficult to find a table for us to sit together. Also, table service for drinks is very slow. A couple of times we finished our meals before our drinks were delivered. - we were able to book only one evening at an a la carte restaurant at the Souk Oven. We were disappointed by the food, the regular open buffet is way better.

We enjoyed our time in the hotel very much! Everything was extremely comfortable. We relaxed and got a lot of pleasure. All the staff team was very friendly and nice. Everyone was polite and kind to us. We felt like the dearest guests.|Our guest manager Aiym was a very pleasant surprise as she was Russian-speaking. She helped us to make our stay at the hotel comfortable. |Thank you, Pullman! It was the best Birthday ever! And Maldives were my best birthday present!!!!  See you someday again! We absolutely loved our stay at Pullman Maldives Maamutaa. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff is exceptional, always attentive, kind, and truly dedicated to making every moment special. The scenery is breathtaking, and our overwater villa with a private pool was simply stunning—spacious, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. It felt like a dream come true. The buffet is excellent, with great variety and top-quality dishes. We would like to give a special mention to Nawaz from the buffet and Kansun from the Saffron Bar, who were incredibly attentive and made our stay even more memorable. Their kindness and professionalism truly stood out. Thanks to all of you, our honeymoon was unforgettable. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for these magical moments.
