Pullman Melbourne On The Park

It was the second time we stayed at the hotel. We paid extra to have the room upgraded & for access to the club lounge & breakfast. Fee months back when we last visited we loved the lounge & breakfast options hence I didn't mind paying for it but this time it was a different story. The food was options in the lounge were very limited. The lounge was filled with guests & there was just 1 staff to keep up. She was doing her best but too many for just 1 person to deal with. The pastries were cold & stale. fruits in the breakfast spread was frost bitten & not fresh. At night when I went to take a shower the bottle of body wash was absolutely empty. Highlight at end of the stay was that I stepped on some glass shards from broken wine glass from the previous guest when trying to retrieve my phone charger that fell behind the night stand. I'm not talking small pieces but large finger size shard. Fortunately it was a small graze but left me thinking how much was actually cleaned wine stains were still on the headboard & carpet. Seems the hotel wants to cost cut but still want guests to pay high for subpar standards.

Our stay at the hotel was generally pleasant, and the room was perfectly suitable for our one-night stay. The amenities were adequate, and the overall ambiance was quite nice. However, we encountered an unexpected issue with the pillows provided. They were extremely uncomfortable, unlike any we have experienced before. We had hoped to leave our stay feeling refreshed and well-rested, but unfortunately, we woke up with significant pain in our back and neck. This discomfort overshadowed what could have been a restful night. Given our experience, we would highly recommend that future guests consider bringing their own pillows to ensure a more comfortable stay. This small precaution could make a big difference in the quality of your rest.

We stayed 8 nights and it was the best experience. From check in to checkout everything was perfect. We had a room overlooking the MCG which was well equipped and everything worked well. We had use of the Executive Lounge and the staff were so helpful. There was always plenty of food in the evening and the continental breakfast was very good. The staff at the hotel are a real asset being very knowledgeable and helpful with any queries we had. Will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

One of the best experiences I have had with hotels. We came for the tennis and this was an ideal location to stay. Rhythm was the person to check us in and he couldn’t have been a nicer person, so professional but also empathetic, besides the hotel being immaculate and all staff attentive, because of Rhythm alone I would return to this hotel. A really lovely experience for us. I completely recommend!

Had a delightful 2 night stay. Was upgraded to the executive level on arrival, albeit without access to the executive lounge. The room was great size and had all amenities. The view over the MCG, Myer Music Bowl and out to Port Phillip Bay was wonderful.||The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Also enjoyed the welcome gift.||Ate breakfast and lunch in the restaurant. The food was great.||Highly commend the reception staff - very helpful, friendly and accomodating.

Excellent hotel with nicely fitted out rooms and amazing view. The staff made us feel so welcome knowing we were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary. Wish we had a few more nights to enjoy!

Pullman on the Park is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Melbourne, particularly if you’re in town for the Australian Open, thanks to its unbeatable location near the action. The rooms are a nice size, with sizable bathrooms and upscale bath products that add a touch of luxury without the hefty price tag. However, the room lighting leaves something to be desired—both dim and accompanied by confusing controls. Storage is also limited, with a noticeable lack of hangers and drawers, which could be inconvenient for longer stays. On the plus side, the breakfast buffet is plentiful and offers something for everyone, and the fast internet ensures you stay connected throughout your stay. The pool deck provides a relaxing retreat, and the on-site parking is a welcome convenience for travelers with a car. What really stands out is the staff, who are consistently friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. Pullman on the Park combines a touch of luxury with thoughtful amenities, making it a great value option for your next Melbourne visit.

From the moment I checked in to when I left to fly home, this hotel was the best I've ever stayed in. The staff were wonderfully friendly and attentive. The location was excellent. The facilities were magnificent. The breakfast buffet was great. I wish I stayed for longer and will definitely be returning.

For a 5 star hotel the food was nothing more than average, with high prices over 30$ for a burger the food took over 50 minutes to arrive on a not so busy day, when the food arrived the pie was frozen on the centre, chips were cold, and small portions for the price. I would never come here again and for a high end hotel they should be ashamed!

An old fave the seafood buffet, and with a weekday happy hour of $5 wines you cannot lose with a few wines pre dinner and the buffet is reasonable given I had about 20 Oysters and a dozen or so prawns..... the meat offerings were great and to see Agnes and her sister still offering amazing service (30 year veterans) it is great to see an old familiar face from Hilton days. The make over in the lobby bar and restaurant is fantastic and great amenities too.

Let's start with the good bits, being the location. It's always great to be in a hotel that's close enough to the Melbourne CBD, and not far enough out that you need to take a cut lunch and a walking stick to get anyway. Add in regular tram and train services right outside the door, and you're set for transport. The location is also great if you're attending any events near the Melbourne Olympic Parks, as you've got the MCG, Rod Laver, AAMI all within walking distance. No need to battle the crowds for transport after a great event. Sadly, there wasn't anything else to make this hotel feel like it had the special touch for me. The rooms are recently rennovated, but a failure to properly make the rooms and the building airtight - you end up with a whistling noise through the higer floors every once in a while. The bathrooms leave much to be desired. Even in an upgraded deluxe room, they are quite small. Water efficency isn't great, and the toilets use too much water and need to be double-flushed. Add to that a combined bath/shower that's hard to get out of; and poor drainage which means any water leaking out is likely to make your morning paper wet if you've not brought it in. Also, their breakfast restaurant needs some work. The service is inconsistent, with poor attention to guests, and even poorer quality hot beverage service. And sadly, the hot items were also inconsistent - being great some days, but terrible on others. The lobby also is overdue for rennovation, with an excees of wood in extreemly dark hues, that don't make for a pleasent entrance; and with a check-in desk area that's poorly designed, and easily gets cramped and makes the lobby hard to navigate to and from the lifts when full. Overall, there's still a lot of work to be done on this property after being purchased from the Hilton group. Let's hope they get this done, to ensure that they can deliver a quality Pullman experience on every level.
